The Struggle of an Artist...
The Struggle of an Artist. We've all experienced it at one point and some of you may relate. This is my first ever digital drawing/painting video and I hope you'd like to see more in the future.

Sometimes you just gotta let the lines be bad, or the sketch be kinda off in a certain way, or the drawing not be the very best, the point is you keep going.

Idk at some point I started worrying so much about how things should look, that I didn't rlly bother finishing stuff anymore, but watching this gave me some light. ty 4 that 👍

I understand that feeling very well 😭
I wasn't drawing so much because I was avoiding bad drawings, now I don't care if the drawing is bad I draw so much more and I always look forward to drawing

That's the spirit! Keep on going and you'll learn along the way ❤
This is me man, i get so caught up on overthinking on how my art will turn i never let myself explore the opportunities offered through failure

If you don't make mistakes you won't learn, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" ❤
Like in real, there will be days where your down and days when your up. 😛 my teacher
Oh yes, I gather tons of references and info, and don't always do much with them. It's just so much easier to plan and get inspired than to actually do it.

That's the case for a lot of artists (including myself) but I'd like to be someone who helps out artists who really want to make more pieces, and also be part of a community in some way so we can all motivate eachother!
I agreed. The reason I given up on painting is because I tried too hard on painting and it's painful to do. It's no longer fun to do arts. It's not like I'm completely given up, but I'm in the process of searching for my path outside of painting. The lesson I learned from my painting experience is that I put too much efforts on doing it, so instead of stopped at the nice balance and beautiful level, it's a complete mess when I realized. You're supposed to work smart, not blindly work hard. Each stroke should be meaningful and there is no need to be realistic. If you think it's beautiful then it's good enough. For me, at some point I found that it's beautiful, then I kept working on it and ended up as something stupid that I hate. Though the "beautiful" that I talked about isn't the most beautiful or perfect...it's like I tried to be perfect but since I didn't know how to make it better, I ruined it. Yeah, an advice from a failed digital painter here.

You haven't failed, when you make mistakes and feel like you're at low, if you keep going and most importantly learning you'll become the best version of you as an artist! Enjoy the journey!
I have a rule in that I finish most of my drawings. I'm still a beginner, so it's all terrible, but I need the experience of making mistakes so I can improve on my next piece.
97 subscribers!? I had a hard time listening to the video because your art was so nice. I really like its simplicity, its a bit eye-opening. Thank you!

Yes, small creator here😅 Thank you so much for this comment, it really made my day 😭. I'm trying my bestest and will release more art stuff in the future, perhaps also some tutorials later on. This is the first time I'm kinda of releasing my art into the world for others to see so I was quite nervous haha

Before anything, I'm an over-thinking man, and yes...,I lost a year and a half at nothing because of my thinking, and practice a little only from that :'D. This mean (for my case), I think for 99%, and draw for 1%. *I didn't watch the video yet.

Amazing prediction! Yes many (including me at times still) think too much and don't draw enough. Hopefully you'll find my content relatable and meaningful!

Thank you SM 😭! I use a diamond shaped textured brush, it's from one of my favourite artists ever, Hardy Fowler. I'll make a video about which brushes I use later on ❤
Awesome stuff dude!

@@_skyeline Defnitely! Thanks again, this is something I run into too the overthinking of things. It's helped me to try creating art in a state of play. Though that is easy some days than others
