The Story of Warren Jeffs

Warren Jeffs used his power as the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to arrange marriages between adult men and under-aged girls. He has spent nearly two decades destroying the lives of young girls and boys throughout multiple states.

There was something about him that scared me instantly and I didn't like him, wouldn't talk to him and wouldn't let him touch me when I met him (I was 12 at the time) and he didn't like me either. He told my friends parents I was the devil and they were to rid me from their lives, they didn't listen thankfully. As I got older and learned more about him and the things he did I was so grateful I was watched over the day I met him and was given the instinct to stay away from him. I was so happy when he went to prison but so sad that he still has so much control over them. He would cast out his own sons to keep them from being able to "steal" women from him and if he fell for a woman any man was with he would cast them out as well and marry the woman. If any of the women went against his wishes they would be removed late at night with their children and left to figure it out on their own. He's more than a monster, he's pure evil.

Mormonism is a completely fictitious religion. Their entire premise as a male-dominated, misogynist organization, is to have full control over women and girls. Some of the males appoint themselves as prophets, who claim to be saviors on earth and the only ones who can speak directly to God, which works well for them, because God is invisible. Their currency is female children, to whom they arrange marriages and wed through "sealing". Their position in the "church" is to make girls and women subservient to men. The Mormon women do chores, cooking, shopping, laundry and are beholden to reproduce by "elders" and "prophets" by birthing new members through the act of procreation, making them no more than hostages. The Mormons took the real Bible and rewrote it entirely, in order to fulfill their narrative. The girls and women are indoctrinated at a young age to accept and follow the doctrine without question. Mormon women and girls have Stockholm Syndrome, thus the lack of resistance. Even more insidious are the numerous splinter sects and cults, who continue to expound plural marriage. The rogue cult sects defy the law, by continuing to exercise plural marriage. These elders and prophets are able to continue and "live with themselves" because such behavior is intrinsic to their delusions and their misguided "belief" system.

The Church controlled liquor laws, they are attempting to control companies who provide porn content (not defending porn here) but they just passed a law which prohibits the platforms it can be presented on which will go into effect if eight other states pass similar laws. Meanwhile they protect and defend spousal abusers, child abusers and all the cheats that @no mane Jane mentioned. I wouldn't put a ton of blame on the "community" persay. They were highly dependant on the church for all their needs, the church owned the farms, infact the UEP owned the majority of the towns land. They ran the stores, you were taught from a young age in church sanctioned schools, they had specific dress codes, and ingrained hatred of any outsiders of the church from a young age. They did this to isolate followers from outside influence and doubt in faith. They were pretty much white supremacists who also hated whites who weren't mormon polygamists. Not to mention they arranged the marriages within the church to benefit their own agendas, and threatened "deserters" (in their eyes) with the many bargaining chips they had lining the pockets at the top. For instance, lets say your a women trying to leave the church, but you have children you can't leave behind. >Church finds out you want to leave* >Church kicks you out of your home* >Church replaces you with a different wife for your husband, > Other wife raises your children* >You now have no choice but to leave town and survive without ever seeing your children again > You now think you're going to hell because of the brainwashing >You beg for forgiveness at the hopes of seeing your children again > Church says get F**cked

Um BOYS were harmed too. abuse does not discriminate and this goes to show that men don't get support to speak up! You only feel more sorry the "gurls" because they are able to marry into the abuse while the boys are discarded! Then they do self delete with no unburdening of their hearts or peace in their soul! At least the gurls get mental support afterwards but for all they know it looks like "normal routine" to them. Most boys know gurls exist and that marriage takes boy and girl so when a male messes with a male it is EXTRA confusing and burdensome.

She only wanted to be loved, to protect her ‘no longer preferred wife’ mother who was a wife of Warren, and to protect her children in the end. She went through terrible sexual abuse, emotional torture, and devastating isolation all the while just doing everything she could to protect her children. I definitely rec the book for anyone wanting an in-depth account, but be prepared mentally because it’s really tough today read at times.

I'm sure it helps a lot of people. I think it's one of the most unique endings and it's really a public service. I used to work on a suicide hotline. Sometimes people just need someone to unload their story onto. And people ARE available who sign up to listen. And sometimes it helps to know that EVERYTHING passes, coping can happen. And you can get over the depression and live a good life. It might just take some time and some counseling. And some things are never the same. And you may learn to live with the way things are. But you'll never know the why you're here, or why things happened the way they do, until you complete the journey. And there are NO shortcuts...

There's no such thing as Mormonism. This FLDS group is sick, going around the law in many, many ways. The church from which they offshoot is nearly unrelated to them at this point- similarly to a lineage of genetics, diluting with each generation. Scientology? The relation to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, what I presume you mean when you say "Mormonism", is related in that they have people in a group. Otherwise, the comparison is like saying "bread reminds me so much of brownies".

He then set the house on fire which caused a huge explosion, alerting people to the house. He got away along with the family dog that he decided to spare. Later they found the car he was driving &the dog somewhere in the woods. He has never been caught & is on the FBI's most wanted list. There's a documentary I watched called "Where is Robert Fisher" that is really good if anyone is curious to hear more about the case. Hope everyone has a goodnight/day! (:

I remember this case, I believe he had over $200k in the bank that was not touched - and I suppose still remains in the bank. That led me to believe he was dead, but who knows, stranger things have happened. He did have a mistress, but she has never heard from him, and its been many years.

Wow... I knew I had seen those pictures before. When you showed that book at the end I realized I have it! My dad gave me a handful of books he didn't want about a couple years ago and that book was the only one I saved. I just haven't read it yet, but I have looked through the pictures in it. Damn! Now I really need to read it!

The pictures of the church show all the cars are only white, black, and silver. Shows the level of control he has.

That's strange because in one clip of this video it shows Warren Jeff's car as red!

Hey Monsters, I just want to praise you for taking on the burden of covering this subject. I can’t even imagine what you went through while researching these cases, especially because you’re a viciously protective father. You must have felt so dark and drained by the end of the season, but I’m glad you did it. It’s important.
