The story of Rai Jaleed | Beyond the Blight sci fi diorama

Ойын-сауық

This is the story of Rai Jaleed, a blind cave pilot and expert racer from Aegis, the planet from Beyond the Blight. Join me as I scratch build, kitbash, sculpt from polymer and foam, and ultimately use whatever is at my disposal to tell the story behind the diorama.

    Stumbled upon this channel a few days ago and I am now binge watching as many videos as I can fit into my day as possible! I am really pleased with The fusion of the scratch building AND story telling which gives A Massive amount of Depth to this channel. I am also a scale modeler, only I tend to stick to kits and then incorporate them into dioramas, focusing mainly on World War Two and other War history, but also a bit on civilian life in today's time with a few model cars I would love to have IRL, But I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I get a BIG boost from this channel in my own creative juices to bring me more purpose when I put things together. I think I would like to even add a bit of my own to your world if you are game Mr. Gameyy Builds. I certainly don't want to step on your toes, this is YOUR world after all, but I wouldn't attempt to do anything with the characters you have already created and provided back stories on.

    Not all Unders are blind, (they simply navigate well in the dark) only this particular racer is. an amazing presentation! though i do feel it needs some head protection for the pilot (roll bars or something like that) it's not hard to imagine a pilot of a craft getting smeared along the top of a cave in what would be a great R-rated version of pod racing. thinking about the lore that the craft have special noise makers, i don't think they would need that as whatever mechanical noise they already make may be enough echo to do the job, though i'm sure there would be tuning of the craft's engine, exhaust and drive blades. all of the noise would make racing by sound near other craft VERY interesting, trying to pick out the sounds you recognize (from your own craft mostly, but possibly common rivals) from the din of noise and echo.

  • @ARockRaider

    @ARockRaider

    Жыл бұрын

    @gameyy builds that was my first thought seeing it in such a small tunnel! at the same time, it could be that such bars may make it hard to hear the caves? I'm no expert on how exactly sound travels but i could easily imagine poorly designed head protection causing large blind spots. it may also be that at the speeds they move such a cage would either be meaningless or excessively heavy. there is also always the option to just say "it's a sifi motorcycle/ATV racing underground and it makes as much sense as pod racers did" or "rule of cool" it's not like fiction always has to be realistic after all! this world reminds me of a game called Kenshi, i can easily imagine a mod to bring this world alive in that game! not that i would ever have the talent to do such a thing. keep up the amazing work, i love the stories so much, even with the general sad/grim tone they tend to have i seem to feel happier for the short glimpse i get of the world.

    Idk how I missed this one! Amazing work, as always. A few questions though: if Rai won that race, the other racers are presumably behind her and are easy pickings for the hissat.
