The Story I Never Thought I'd Tell | I Lost EVERYTHING | My Story Part 1.

Ойын-сауық

Having recently paid off my final bit of £100k+ debt, I felt it was about time I told you my story of how I got there and what happened. It's long. It's tricky and sometimes painful to relive. The part of this story, I felt sure at the time it was the end of an awful time for me and my daughter. I was wrong. Unfortunately, this was just the beginning with more twists and turns than I ever could have predicted. We're out of it now and that feels surreal. But I hope this goes some way to explaining how we got where we were, why I lived and continue to live the frugal life I do and why I will never be financially tied to anybody again.
This is my story, my point of view and my experiences. No two stories are the same, but if you're struggling financially or in a relationship that is not as you'd hoped it could be, there are people to turn to and to help. I didn't have them at the time. I wish I had.
stepforchange.org - a charity to help with financial issues
samaritans.org - to help with anything you're going through, even if you can see no way out.
relate.org.uk - A non-judging charity to talk things through when you're relationship no longer feels right.
There's always someone there to listen - Samantha x

Oh wow what a story. So pleased you getting through it though. I hadca similar ratbag of a husband only he used to beat me up as well as two time me. Even when I was in hospital after out first born he was bedding a neighbour in our bed even though his Dad had passed away 2 days after the birth. Because of my health I was supposed to be in hospital a week but I was very upset over his Dads passing so they let me out after 5 days, my house was wrecked inside, no fire had been made, there was no fuel for it, pots and pans were all over kitchen and dining room, there was no surfaces. His Mum was naturally upset and so I told her via phone you could come and stay here but and I told her about the condition of the house, she came over anyway and we both cleaned it all up, 2 days into her staying and 7 days since I'd given birth I woke up with pleurisy, she (bless her) took over caring for me and the baby while hubby kept disappearing. He was taking his bit on the side places, luckily enough his Mum stocked our shed with fuel for the fire, he just spent any money he had on his car and this woman. His mum even had to buy nappies as we ran out. Thank goodness I breast fed. Xx

I empathise with your story. A absent partner is so lonely. But there is one thing I don’t quite understand. You said that you separated, and you asked for a divorce. But then you found out he was having an affair. But, surely if you were separated that’s not an affair?
