I was working at Safeway when I was 18 (65 now) and these guys came in late one night. The cashier realizing who they were called me up front to meet them. The thing is, I had just seen them the night before in Houston. Nice guys.

I have woke up many many nights to the sound of a bass drum thumping through out the house simple because he could hear the bass line to his bands new song and just had to get it recorded before it slipped his mind.😂 I have mad respect for any band. Never mind , Sarah. Very few people can spell anymore and they can't all claim dyslexia. I only have a problem with folks who ignore or don't know that certain words or terms exist or don't recall them, and then try to make up words that don't exist.

Tommy was one of my favorite rockers back in the day. Seattle coliseum, 1978. Tommy did a solo. The roadie brought out a bar stool and Tommy came out, first with an acoustic. He being a small guy had to climb upon the stool and the guitar made him look like he was a child. He must have played for 15 minutes. He switched to electric about halfway through and ripped of some excellent riffs. I will remember this until I pass.

It was free and you could hear them clearly from my dorm. You could walk right up to the flatbeds and talk to them when they were testing out the sound system. Oh the day's before crazy people! When I was 18 I moved to Pittsburgh for a brief time in the mid 80s , and a friend of mine named Christine krasinski was so in love with Tommy Shaw , I would never be able to forget this guy's face , even though I am a Styx fan , she had him everywhere.... Back in the dark days before cell phones in the internet , she was actually downtown waiting for a Styx concert to start and went to use the pay phone and was standing in line and struck up a conversation with someone else standing in line and she told him she was there for the concert and he said oh yeah I'm in a band too , she asked him what band he was in he said , my name is Richie Blackmore and I am with Rainbow... She nearly fainted...❤❤❤... Good times...

What a great band, who had many great hits! Music from the 70's was the best ever, with such a wide variety of styles. So many of the artists told stories and made you feel that they were singing to you, or about you. Even Carly Simon had a great hit (You're So Vain) that sad that. I miss greatly this era of music, but at least we have the recordings.

I have the album of paradise theater that is a picture disc when you take the vinyl album out of the plastic liner and put it under a light you can see a rainbow of colors on both sides of the album vinyl that are like two really detailed angel’s together and more designs, you can only see it underneath of a light and it’s fantastic!I’m so proud to have it for over 45 yrs!

Every birthday I've had in the last 30 years, I've played the song "Man in the Wilderness" for introspection and growth. Some years are better than others. I finally got to see them two years ago. What a great show. Thank you, Tommy Shaw and Styx, for your influence in my life! Keep rocking. 🔥 🔥🔥
