The Spinners - Sadie - Live 1976 - Mothers

Музыка

Here's the fantastic Spinners performing live Sadie. Philippe Wynne really gives his all. This is one of the best songs dedicated to mothers.
The Spinners rate as one of the most fantastic groups along with The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Dramatics, The OJays, The Stylistics, The Whispers, The Intruders, Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, and The Delfonics. They were apart of the golden age of classic soul groups who mesmirized us with their dances, energy, and love songs.
It's Ashame, Rubberband Man, Mighty Love, Could It Be I'm Falling In Love, I'll Be Around, Mighty Love, One of a kind Love Affair, Ghetto Child, Sadie, How Could I Let You Get Away, Then Came You, Games People Play, Love Don't Love NoBody, were among their biggest hits, making them the premier group of the 70's.

Jetauna Freeman , please appreciate your Mother tangibly-forget about texting, FaceTime, etc...go see her; hug her, touch her face. My Mother was incapacitated for 38-years before she transitioned, but at least I could still talk to her, touch her and love on her. And, even after Alzheimer’s set-in on top of her primary illness, she still knew me because I spent quality time with her...some of my siblings live with regret about their lack of time with her. God bless and be well. Not a sermon, just wisdom from experience. :-)

Here I am, sitting up here looking at this video with a smile from ear to ear as Phillipe did his thing. There's no arguement from me as to Phillipe Wynn's musical legacy & contributions to the Spinners. I loved what John Edwards brought to the group afterwards, but it was Phillipe Wynn who brought that magic. At the end of the day, the Spinners is that group that was like ,"Man, did you see that?!" Great stuff & great post my friend. ;-)

The Spinners were great before Philippe, but with Philippe and Thom Bell and Linda Creed, they just had hit their stride and made magic. The Spinners still went strong without Philippe and their still going strong but with Philippe, it was magic. There's always those special lead singers that make the group magic like with David Ruffin and The Temptations and Ben E. King and The Drifters.
