A bombastic hit for the Detroit Spinners. I used the original backing track to show off the magnificence of the Funk Brothers and James Jamerson's amazing bass lineand extend the track.

Grooved to this in 1970/71 as a marine stationed in Quantico, Va., with my best friend Morris Williams from Tampa Fla. He's passed now, but everytime I hear this those times come flooding back. God those were good times and great music. Thanks Mosogotam
What the hell happened to all our beautiful music of the 60"70"80". it definitely a SHAME!
This generation today don't know real music. Ain't nothing like some good old school.

BROTHER, WE SOUL PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS LISTEN TO CLASS MUSIC.......
Gold. Born in 1962, grateful for the music of our youth. The music doesn’t age (like we do!), and the memories flood back. Where U were, who U were with, the power of hope, of the future. Life does administer lessons, set backs, challenges to all of us. Hang in there. Bless you all.

somebody please bring back music like this again Wil we ever hear music and artists like this again this is what real music sounds like.
Probably one of the 3 greatest Motown songs of all time-no question! Thanks Stevie. Another gem! Thanks GC for amazing vocals and thanks Spinners for amazing backing vocals. And those horns, that bass and sitar. Incredible! Hard to believe this is 53 years old. Can’t see any of todays rubbishy efforts being played in 53 years time-can you?

The greatest version of this song ever.
Every song is a memory which I call memories treasures that no one take from all of us.
This is the one for me! Hell to the naw. Cracked up at the opening and smiled and grooved in my chair for the duration of the songs. So glad that one of my all time favorite songs got the extended treatment. That guitar riff in this song makes it impossible not to move when you listen to it! Dude singing all the leads lol, had crazy range and vocal chops. Props to Stevie Wonder for writing this for The Spinners. Damn, wish I could buy this!!

At 3:44 You can hear those dirty bass strings that James never changed. He was the total package. Melody/ Funk/ Timing. He stays funky through the melodic arrangement. Nuts

I was 11 in 1970, this was one of the greatest songs that year. Pretty sure that is Dennis Coffey and Robert white on guitars. The electric sitar being the lead instrument. And of course, the incredible mr Jameson on bass. The mix is super and the vocals knock it out of the park.

I'm still pretty pissed The Mighty, Mighty Spinners are not in the R&R Hall of Fame yet. This stone-cold jam might become my new "Walk-In" music. I was literally stunned by the Jaw-Dropping bass playing by none other than the legend, the one and only Mr. James Jamerson. His bass playing just jumps off the record and is so funky, you need to open a window and let some fresh air in. His thick, fat bass tone and virtuoso playing simply dares you to not get up and move your hips. Hear him play one time and you will immediately recognize his sound on other great Motown hits. How he did all this with one finger continues to boggle my mind to this day. RIP James Jamerson. (The GOAT🐐)
This song was made to be extended 🙌🏾

They are great talents, and old school icons, hopefully, the 2020 generations will show them love and support.
