The Spinners "It''s A Shame" My Extended Version!

A bombastic hit for the Detroit Spinners. I used the original backing track to show off the magnificence of the Funk Brothers and James Jamerson's amazing bass lineand extend the track.

Grooved to this in 1970/71 as a marine stationed in Quantico, Va., with my best friend Morris Williams from Tampa Fla. He's passed now, but everytime I hear this those times come flooding back. God those were good times and great music. Thanks Mosogotam

Gold. Born in 1962, grateful for the music of our youth. The music doesn’t age (like we do!), and the memories flood back. Where U were, who U were with, the power of hope, of the future. Life does administer lessons, set backs, challenges to all of us. Hang in there. Bless you all.

So glad that one of my all time favorite songs got the extended treatment. That guitar riff in this song makes it impossible not to move when you listen to it! Dude singing all the leads lol, had crazy range and vocal chops. Props to Stevie Wonder for writing this for The Spinners. Damn, wish I could buy this!!

I'm still pretty pissed The Mighty, Mighty Spinners are not in the R&R Hall of Fame yet. This stone-cold jam might become my new "Walk-In" music. I was literally stunned by the Jaw-Dropping bass playing by none other than the legend, the one and only Mr. James Jamerson. His bass playing just jumps off the record and is so funky, you need to open a window and let some fresh air in. His thick, fat bass tone and virtuoso playing simply dares you to not get up and move your hips. Hear him play one time and you will immediately recognize his sound on other great Motown hits. How he did all this with one finger continues to boggle my mind to this day. RIP James Jamerson. (The GOAT🐐)

So grateful I grew up in the late 50s, early 70s - the music was to die for, especially Motown R&B. The kids today don't have a clue. Would go back in a heart beat to live it all over again!!!

Beautiful job! I've heard this song of course but never really listened until recently, when I became obsessed with hearing it over and over. My partner asked why I played it so much back to back and I said it was because I was following a different element each time - this song is the sum of so many glorious parts! Thanks so much for this!

The way you do the things you do, to music I loved then, and still. But to hear it remastered, reimagined, made fresh, new, often better, simply blows me away! (as in Laura Nyro's Blow... Blow.. Blowin"). And from me there is no greater praise. I worship Laura's music to this day. I can't stop playing your extended mixes.!! I can't thank you enough for there musical joy you have brought into my life. It would seem thousands of others agree! Keep em coming. Great music keeps people going. I'm one of them!
