I'm 61 yrs old. I've idolised Hank Marvin & Bruce Welch and The Shadows since I was five years old and first saw them getting off of a steam train at King's Cross Railway station back in the late 50s when I was just a very young kid. I've followed their every move since then and met them many times and had photos taken with them using my own CANON SLR. Also photographed them many times myself both during and after concerts. For my money and my life,Hank Marvin and the Shadows and Hanks other bands that includes members of his and Brian Bennets family, have been the greatest of all time for me. I first heard the sound of The Shadows way back in the 1960's and have never tired of it. They have inspired many young people in my home state, Sarawak, on the island of Borneo, to form instrumental groups (lead, rhythm, bass and drums) and entertain hordes of instrumental music fans at home. The Shadows are an original. Their music will endure with the passage time. I am sure many septuagenarians like me who have been Shadows fans since their teens, will continue to enjoy the music of one of the world's foremost instrumental groups of all times -- THE INCOMPARABLE SHADOWS. Even now, in my golden years, I can still hear the exhilarating beats of Tony Meehan's See You In My Drums. The original Shadows drummer has passed on (God bless his soul) but the group for which he drummed in the formative years, will live on and so will his name as an original member of the group. Hello Kenny. When I was in the British Army I served in Kuching, Sarawak for a year from November 1963. We lived in a tented area just alongside the police flats and down the road from the cinema. It's funny to hear that not too far from me you lived and both of us liked the Shadows. When we were sent on a rest period in Singapore I bought a record or two from the man who ran the juke box. When I had my meals in our cook house I took as many pieces of fruit as I could from the bowl and gave it all out to the kids that hung around outside. I love the tone of his guitar. One of my favourite songs.
The Shadows at their best - those drums and big Hank on guitar - a delight!
Just brilliant - thank you The Shadows. I was lucky enough to see them once.
Great ! Excellent song and musicians who gave a new look to the history of music.
I remember this as a kid in the 80's - loved it then - love it even more now. Awesome!
Adore super talented Hank, but the bass & the drums on this is AWESOME!! String of hits (album this is from) is terrific too!
Back in the 80s, when looks weren't important, and music was :))
shadows are my all time favourite. brings fond memories of my childhood when they grew to fame.

Great
I first heard this on the Kenny Everett video show in 1981. As good as Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch's contributions are, it's George Ford's octave bassline and Brian Bennett's four on the floor disco drumming that really makes this version a standout for me.

Takes you back to a time when there was real music !
Thankyou very much Guitar Musics The Shadows, Happy 2020!
My memories go back five decades. Still sounds great
The Shadows, the name had almost been forgotten. But the music of the Spotnicks, Shadows and Rattles deserves to be immortal.

Mój ulubiony zespół. Super!!!
This was originally written as Ghost riders in the sky back in the late 1940’s. The instrumental version by the Ramrods hit No.8 in the UK charts in 1961
Watching Hank Marvin perform cures depression. The sheer joy he expresses while playing fills my heart with positivity. I wish he was from our current generation.
They were the best, could make their instrument's talk.Absolutely brilliant music, you never hear the likes these days.Could listen to them all day.👍👍👍

Ridiculous how the top bods of totp ever insisted on bands miming or pretending to play instruments to a backing track. The Shadows here are just having a laugh about it from start to finish, as I am.. Great to see this thanks for posting
Unbelievable Music and HANK MARVIN my favourite.Divine Music every tone is in its place !THANK YOU THANK you so much for posting.
I grew up listening to The Shadows, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, british rock. Great music. Thank you, The Shadows :). And Cliff Richard, of course.
Najlepszy zespol instrumentalny lat 60tych.

Thank you very much superb interpretation .60 years that I appreciate you.... musically +1+1
This is the third song I've listened to while trying to get into the Shadows and so far I'm getting the impression that Hank wrote the music for every cowboy film ever made in history. And he likes a good grin.
Great Exciting Music from the British Group "The Shadows " from the 1960's

It's amazing to see that Hank Marvin still makes music! In 2017 he released an album called "Without a Word" and is definitely worth to checkt out.. Just like any The Shadows or Hank Marvin albums!
Bought a Squire Jazz bass guitar and a Lanny amp when I retired at 65. Took bass lessons, and can now play this and other Shadows tunes. I'm back to been 12 years old, rich and happy!!
The best guitarist of all time!

I saw The Shadows at Birmingham Odeon in 1980. Although I love The Beatles I do admire The Shadows. They walked on stage no tuning and just played. It was a brilliant night. Bruce Welch is often overlooked as great rythmn guitarist.

Wow.June,2021 and I am still loving this and still feeling young!!
These musicians have brought " Ghosts Riders In The Sky", back to life.
Love this with a disco beat! Smiling faces dressed nice. Man they can really modulate from chord to chord upper and lower.
Ghost Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend es una canción country.
