    I saw a video showing if you strike the ball with driver just an inch off centre you lose 10% distance. So agree, no point trying to thrash the ball if the result is inconsistent stike. No net gain....

    Good point Michael - a little known fact is that off centre low loses more distance than off centre high so checking you are not teeing too low is also worthwhile. Thanks for your helpful comment it’s a very valid point 👌

    Thanks Philip. Can you do a video on how to hinge and real ease your wrists properly. I mentioned in another video of yours that I use the swing caddy, but I feel that I’m flicking my wrists in order to achieve the click. Thanks.

    Thank you for the video Phillip. As a senior with a lot of physical issues, I have learned that more effort equals more stress on my body. As a man with lead hip issues, how can I mitigate the torque on my lead hip? It’s an issue for me on the through swing and follow through. Maybe a walk through ala Gary Player. Would love to see a demo and explanation of that sequence. Thank you again for continuing Brian’s legacy!

    Hi Barry it is usually caused by the very large turn through impact - try placing you foot another 10° or more splayed out, this will reduce the torque on your hip in the follow through. Hope that helps

    Great vid (I've actually watched ALL of your vids!)! I am practicing tons on getting more Club Head Speed. I'm maxing out at 90. I purchased the SC and really like it. It's taught me the feel I need to get the acceleration I lack (WAAY too much tension and effort). I noticed that on the SC I can get a click on 100mph, but my best actual CHS is 90, no matter what I try. I'm a fit and healthy 64, 5'7". I can't figure out why I can't get over 90 CHS. Thoughts?

  • @Easiestswing

    @Easiestswing

    3 ай бұрын

    Sounds like you are doing great! 90mph is a very respectable clubhead speed and one a lot of players never achieve. But all the elements you are learning are obviously contributing to greater speed so just keep going, daily work with your Swing Caddy and reduction of tension and effort is where you will find results so patience practice and perseverance the three P’s and you will get there. Have you read Positive Impact Golf? We also have a new book coming out in the next month or so The Easiest Swing in Golf that will also be available at Amazon and all major booksellers. Thanks for your comments -you’re inspiring!!

    Great video and it's not easy to stay relaxed when swinging, but I'll try. Why do you set the Swing Caddy on 80 when you swing speed is 105+ mph? Also how do we know what speed to set ours if we want to try and increase our club/swing speed.

  • @Easiestswing

    @Easiestswing

    When you set the SC or HIO at a much lower setting than your max you will start to hear the click long before impact. Once you can slow that part of your swing it helps you to feel the acceleration where you need it - through impact - once you feel this ramping it back up without losing that relaxed feel is the route to finding more power in your game. Good luck with it!

    thanks for keeping Brians legacy going......In trying to incorporate this method I'm somewhat confused. You have a beautiful swing which looks very traditional....your hands are high, arms off the body and limited hip turn. At the 1:51 mark of this video all of these traits are evident. In trying to practice the "dance" the hips turn as much as the shoulders, arms are more on the body and seem to be controlled solely by the pivot. The swing speed seems to be determined by the speed of the pivot and not necessarily the independent swinging of the arms. How does one keep practicing the 'dance' but make it transition to look like your swing? Thanks, Gary

    Hi Gary some great questions that raise some important issues. If you understand the Three Deadly Don’ts and the six basics (I’m assuming you have read “Positive Impact Golf”) what LDG does is create the feel of an easy turn of the torso with no restriction from a static lead heel this helps create a good weight shift whilst not trying to keep the head still. You should feel how well balanced and coordinated with a good rhythm this is, all while staying relaxed. These are the elements you should be looking for in your own swing. You should avoid trying to copy my swing or any other one as you are unlikely to have an identical physique (I’m 6’4” with long legs and short arms) but also you never know how someone has arrived at their own swing. Personally, I used to play with extreme coil and static feet and a very upright swing so the message is don’t copy but use the template to find your own Easiest Swing. There will be more to read about all of this when the new book The Easiest Swing in Golf is published later this month (it was co-authored by me and Brian)

    Do you look behind the ball, at the golf ball or in front of the golf ball???

  • @Easiestswing

    @Easiestswing

    2 ай бұрын

    That is a great question and I would give two parts to my answer - firstly, if there is any one part of the ball I am looking at it is the back. But, secondly, and this is important, I give this almost no focus as my attention is in other places such as making sure I am tension free, that I am going to make a good full turn and stay in balance, I am also concentrating my attention on the target as well as making sure I finish well and in balance. To me those elements are far more important than looking intently at the ball. If anything it’s more like, I’m vaguely aware of where the ball is, but acutely aware of those other factors. Hope that sets you off in the right direction.
