Intriguing to me that such a variety of people reached out to you with direct messages, not wanting to be known as an Introvert. As an introvert, myself I found your talk gave me a new opportunity to reflect on navigating the world with the many extroverts in my life. Congratulations, Monica, on a thought-provoking TEDX Talk, from one Introvert to another, we're both rocking it!

Indeed you are doing amazing things in the world Jocelyn. Thank you for your sincere and thoughtful comments.
Monica is a powerful introvert superwoman. Her story is raw and real. She gives introverts like me permission to be who we really are and still succeed! I had the privilege of working with her on her amazing book - Overcoming Awkward. And she did more to change my life than I did to impact hers. What a gem!

Monica's message here is really great. Being an extravert myself, I have been aware of some of the struggles people with introverted personalities experience in life. But it never occurred to me that they might even live a secret shame of being an introvert. Thank you Monica for sharing about your personal journey and your findings. This message can be an much needed eye-opener for many people out there!

I can relate to being an introvert. And yes, her message about the strengths an introvert has to offer is significant! I can definitely relate to the issue of fearing that my being an introvert gives me a disadvantage when the opposite is actually true. Great talk and important message for all of us introverts... being ourself and being confident that who we are gives us an advantage!

So true! Thanks for the comment.
Thank you, Monica. It was wonderful to hear about an introvert who has succeeded in what many consider to be an extrovert's role. I am an introvert who works in media sales, a role most people would associate with extroverts, but I have outperformed most of the extroverts in my company. My strength, like yours, is solving problems, not shmoozing with the clients.

Right!?
Well I decided to listen to this today because......we'll just because I know who you are from one small area of my life. I didn't expect to gain anything from it if I'm honest. After all you are rocking it in the world of business and I am unable to work due to Chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and sever anxiety. However what I heard grabbed my attention. I have always been given the jobs I've interviewed for....apart from one. The one I was turned down for was the easiest to do! A cleaning job. However....what I realise was I was honest at that interview. I didn't portray myself as an outgoing extrovert! No wonder I have imposter syndrome whenever I think about any job I've ever done!! I wasn't being me. Sure I can rock it as an extrovert on the outside! But inside........no chance. I get more and more overwhelmed and anxious and eventually I burn out and work becomes a terrible endurance test that I eventually fail. So many people tell me I'm an extrovert!! The truth is I'm not. What I heard today was I need to be myself......that's the only hing I can ever really be good at and so far it's the thing I've sucked at the most!!! Thanks Monica!!!
