Lovely but I think ive smiled more than once in every single vlog and since ive watched from the first vlog and some ive watched a 2nd and 3rd time I think its way more than 30 million smiles congrats and counting it in smiles is such a beautiful way to put it. Philip and Selmar made me laugh hysterically when they did the imitation of Stephanie. All alone in lockdown, in my little apartment, laughing out loud! Thank you guys, you keep me sane. ❤️

I think it’s interesting to go back and watch the older vlogs and see how much has changed. Stephanie, in lockdown, was amazed that a perfect stranger sent her the Spode plates she was missing. She said she had never given anyone she didn’t know a present. But now that’s changed with the scholarship she’s awarded, as well as the many charities she’s helped. I find so many little things like this watching them over again, but that’s my favorite thought. Congratulations!

Brilliant

I came home this afternoon after a day spent taking care of my mother and her home. She has dementia and her home has fallen into disrepair but I’ve spent the last 2 years cleaning it like she used to do and tackling one repair project at a time. After new discoveries today of MORE problems, I was feeling so mentally exhausted and overwhelmed by the time I got home, all I wanted was an escape. And here you are, a new chateau Diaries episode. I feel a bit more myself after my little trip to LaLande (But I still don’t want to even think about what all I still have yet to face in order to keep my mama in her home as long as possible. ). Maybe I’ll just to back and watch again some old episodes, stay “gone” a bit longer ....

Yes, be gone with you! I understand what you are doing and can relate although we are in the beginning stages. My mom has moved into senior housing and my brother keeping the house (more power to him) but it is our desire to keep her independent as long as possible so 2 of us make that happen while the others are located away or busy doing good knows what. But if I don't do it, I feel I will hate myself one day as I would want my daughter to do this for me. God bless you. You are doing the right thing imo. 💐🌺🌸🏵️

Yes I went though this with my mother. She is now in care but i gave her an extra 10 years of independence. She will be 100 in August. So it is all worth the effort.

Cannot imagine how Ian would explain this day on the job?! He had to literally stand on his head, his shoulders, and yet found the most exciting secret memories in the history of the most lovely Chateau of France. The Wedding invitation truly stayed in such fine shape and color! So amazing. The writing was done so well in those days!

I must say, I could be completely down in the dumps and find there is a new video from Stephanie and Chateau de le land. .Pulls me right out of it. Particularly this one when Selma took off Stephenies introduction, I nearly peed in my pants.

You need to keep the piece of board from attic and hang it somewhere in the chateau with a plaque stating it was part of the original ceiling. You could go to a library to see it there are any photos of your chateau and look for this piece found.

I just watched the Chronicles of Rosieres' latest vlog. While they were in one of the chateau's bedrooms, one can see the ceiling beams, which were painted in what appears to be brown with white decorations. Some sections of the beam did not have the painted decorations just like what Stephanie saw underneath the floor. Just like lalande, their château is also medieval.

Ian is a keeper!! Hahaha. I think he needs a bonus after today's acrobatics and wedding invite discovery! Congratulations, Lalanders!! 30 million and counting.... Such great entertainment

OOOOOOO such a GLORIOUS find...what makes me love Stephanie all the more is when the originality of the chateau is found..her first thought is is there more and how old is it and CAN we preserve it in any way...I love how it is each persons desire to see Lalande as she was as she was ment to be originally but in an updated way and Ian is WRONG you may be in the best part of Lalande Story...how a young girl came and saved the chateau with her team of Ians and Selmar with all the others cuz in the future it will be remembered as a treasured time that someone loved it enough to bring it into the future!!

I find it impossible to describe why I love this vlog in a way that would attract another fan. I think of all my friends, only three are on board as regulars. I mean what do you say -- A beautiful woman and her friends living in a chateau, educational moments, she isn't just a pretty face, they are authentic and positive, and on and on and on. But now that there we've arrived THIRTY MILLION VIEWS I think I'll stop stressing over it. If my friends forgot to check out the Chateau Diaries it's' their loss. I traveled around southern France two years after the wedding invite was created for a couple of months. I fell in love with the country and its culture and intended to one day live there. The weather and love of food and wine was similar to California where I returned to and unfortunately never returned to France.

Stephanie! Congratulations on thirty million. If it's too hard to wrap your head around that number, just try to wrap your head around all the wonderful things going on at the chateau! All you have to do is look! If it's even a little more exciting to you than it is to the rest of us, I can't imagine how you sleep at night! I remember when this first started to happen, you said you felt like it was a dream and you were afraid you would wake up and it would be over. Well obviously it was no dream and it's not over! We all love what you're doing and we love being a part of it and knowing that our contribution is making a difference to the preservation of your historic home. Viva Lalande!!

Wow...the painted wood in the ceiling is so exciting. And that invitation from both families and the priest has been to the Chateau and you met him! What a blessed life🌷

This is a making of a " Time Capsule" of memories written and found in the wall of the attic and all the rest from marquis and other owners of family over the hundreds of years!

Diesel smacking his lips and the guys imitating Steph were my favorites tonight. Oh, and Ian standing on his head and shoulders (knees and toes) to get the job done.

I can’t wait! Going to schedule my lunch break accordingly.

A thick glass panel in the floor of the attic would be a lovely window into the painted beams without disturbing the beautiful ceiling, better insulation, and hard work you all have done. The beams are a neat piece of history, but I wouldn't say they're a masterpiece deserving to have the ceiling torn out to show them. My uncle sometimes used glass (or Plexiglas) panels to showcase things in the log homes he built, like a bird's nest he tucked into a hollow part of a log in a stairway. It adds great interest, and keeps it more like a treasure for people to discover.

I giggled at Phillip’s re-enactment but ROLLED at Selma’s!! 🤣🤣

No surprise you have so many views. How else would we be able to share your amazing experiences, archeology, design, cooking, friendship, family, wine, construction, plumbing, gardening... Many commercial networks attempt to provide these things but not in your fun and engaging ways. Wish I could afford to support your Patreon but hope the views, likes, and comments continue to support your efforts.
