I realize after being hooked over a year ago that it's not so much the restoration projects (although they can be interesting), but Stephanie's effervescent personality and her acceptance and love of all the different people who help her around the château that draws me to her channel. She has beauty inside and out.

I agree. I enjoy watching the chateau being restored and I love the whole cast. Stephanie is a stand out. Coupled with the group of people she assembled distinguishes this program and sets them apart from the others . I’m surprised a major network hasn’t made her the host of an HGTV type program. Stephanie is a natural talent and a good and wise businesswoman. And I mean that in the best sense of the word.

Stephanie is the magic of Lalande in my opinion. It's not the place - it's her. She draws all the wonderful people to her like a spell and she lets them all shine. She is the center hub of the magical machinery that is Lalande.

My house is only 102 years old.. and is definitely not a chateau, but.. you have inspired me to do my dinner room in a French style, to show off my antique china and glass..

@@versatile6664 …. My Daughter wanted me to do a video when I cleaned all the accumulated stuff of the previous owner.. bought the house lock, stock and barrel…. It needs work, and very soon a new roof.. but I was too busy to think about it when I was cleaning.. I do have some before and after pictures of the two bedrooms I painted and decorated.. I still have two more bedrooms to do.. plus the living room , dining room and kitchen.. however I have a limited budget so sometimes I have to put money aside for more expensive projects than several cans of paint.. eventually I redo the bathrooms, but they are still serviceable.. I also have to plan things around my Son’s free time as he is my carpenter, electrician and plumber.. I love this house with a passion and couldn’t watch it sit there empty and becoming shabbier and shabbier.. She is a comfortable old house with a Grace and charm modern houses just don’t have.. And my Daughter tells me this house feels like it has been in the family for generations instead of just 3 years.. to her and my two granddaughters my bedroom is the most perfect Granny Bedroom in the whole world..

That glorious climbing rose around Marie's window. The water to the walled garden seems sorted, amazing improvements at the chateau. Thankfully Selmar is safe and not harmed by the storm.

During the dinner is Philip sitting next to the legendary and beautiful Belinda Meuldijk?! She such a legend and a deeply respected treasure from Holland such an elegant and inspiring life. made my heart jump to see her in the warm care of Philip. I am so happy Marie moved to that spot for her flower studio. I think it is such a lovely space for her and I am so glad that she will soon have water there. I would love to visit and spend a whole bunch of time in the garden. I miss Mummy and Gerry I hope they return soon to see everything that has been done at the Chateau.

It was wonderful that Stephanie, Davy and Philip could help choose and take part in the Reale Estate dealings to get things moving in the right direction for Julie and her family. They all seemed to have a nice time visiting de La land and such a nice meal served by our own Marie and Natie. (Steve made the best-looking Sconce's!!) Watch ou America, e may all be moving to France!! If younger I would plan to do the same and get my whole family to join me and we would work it out together selling all our homes and then maybe we could do it!? It takes an adventurous person and those who are not afraid of some work. In the end, it will bring so much joy. I pray Julie and her family do enjoy many years there!

Yes, I agree! She reminds one of an angel. Her parents did a lovely job But some people have their own special persona that others love and want to follow. They want to pick up on some of that special aura of radiance.

Stay safe Selma. We have flash flooding and falling trees due to hurricanes this time of year im NC USA. Hope the rest of the trees are removed soon.
