Bayer Leverkusen have done it! Well, not quite but they are a few games from becoming INVINCIBLE!. The German Bundesliga team have been in the headlines all season as they have all but destroyed Bayern Munich's Bundesliga domination of 10/11 years by not only earning more points but by not losing once! They are walking the same path Arsenal did in the 2003/04 season. Will Leverkusen do it? will they join Arsenal as part of the elite few European Clubs to not lose a match for a whole season? It's worth mentioning that unlike Arsenal, who lost games in UCL and FA Cup in their invincible season, Leverkusen are still unbeaten in ALL competitions and are currently on a 40 match unbeaten run, which is absolutely crazy. To finish the season unbeaten winning the treble of Bundesliga, Pokal and Europa League would be unprecedented in modern times football.

@alexkarthik1064 Yes you are absolutely right, but if you take that situation in account bayer doesnot have any superstar as for arsenal who had henry,cole,campbell,patrick vieira,bergkamp etc. They were also second to bottom before xabi joined as for arsenal they were always one of the top teams in EPL , bayer have never won Bundesliga before so it is absolute shock that xabi pulled a miracle by winning Bundesliga and going on 40 games unbeaten strick..

@@sakshampoudel1231 I understand what you're saying. Leverkusen always had great players for years but not star players. I would say Xhaka is a world class midfielder imo. Dortmund, Bayern Munich are quite underwhelming this season and Leverkusen took great advantage of that.
1:19 Granit Xhaka was blamed wrongfully. While Arsenal fans hated him he almost single handelst defeated France with an on Fire Pogba… He was always world class. Arsenal just played him in the wrong role as a defensive midfielder instead of an offensive one. Then he adapted and now has mastered that role as well… He was world class for the last 4 Years….

Not everyone. I don't. I appreciate the improvement he made in the course of his service at Arsenal. He has matured a lot. He has become a better player and a better leader. I like how he improves his tackle. In the final two years in Arsenal, he did not make those reckless too feet lunge. He did not put his hand on other player's throat anymore. He played very reasonably.

They might win the championship this coming weekend, and after that concentration levels will probably suffer at least for the Bundesliga. So my bet wouldn't be on them remaing unbeaten until the last matchday. Currently they are, however, probably the best European team.
Leverkusen are playing like its a fifa game on semi pro.. postive dynamic football that cuts through defenses with great up and coming talent and solid established players and obvious direction ... If they win Pokal final and stay undefeated in the Bundesliga they will be a greater story then the Arsenal invincibles or Leicester or Athetico Madrid in 2014... This is a team that has NEVER won Bundesliga and was in the relegation zone last year until Alonso stepped in morphing into the most dominant team in Europe this year... And snapping Bayerns run of titles whilst Harry Kane is gonna score 40 goals is batshit crazy ... Arsenal were expected to compete for titles in the 00s... Bayer were not expected to do anything these last couple of years
Thats the proof that if you a decent human beeing and respecting the club and players you can achieve so much if your team truly is a team.
You can now say that Leverkusen is in a more difficult league cuz both dolmund and Bayern advanced in UEFL while English teams were eliminated
From Nevakusen to Winakusen, they just won the league with an emphatic 5:0 victory over Bremen

the translation is wrong. they are not called neverkusen but "Vizekusen". Vize means something like 2nd. If you are the 2nd after the Champion, you are in german the Vize-Champion. So the correct translation is not neverkusen, it would be "runner up-kusen" if you translate it correct.
I mean don't forget how Leverkusen destroyed west ham in the Europe league first game. Bundesliga isn't farmers league, it's just world class of xabi and the whole team.

Premier is the true farmers league because every other league's clubs pounce on English PL teams when they meet.
If Alonso wants he can make Leverkusen a footballing dynasty. If they can keep form they are one of Europes top 5 teams

As of today, 17th of April, Leverkusen is still undefeated in all contests, Bundesliga (which they have now won 5 games early), German Cup (big final upcoming), and EURO League. I think they are up to 43-44 games of being undefeated now, while havin only something like 6 draws across all competitions

BVB, Stuttgart, FCB, Gladbach in League, quarabg in away Game were Remis, 38 win, 5 Remis atm.
And they did it!
the neverkusen curse is even worse. 96/97 they lost it on the second last game, 2000 on the last game...so 4 time they had it in their hands and lost it by loosing in the last game(s) against teams fighting against relegation...

@rakification that is so sad, I hope they get this time, I like the german teams because I liked the way they played most of the time (no favourite). However the tactical and strategic side of the games Leverkusen is playing (the football that Xabi is making them play) is amazing. I truly hope Leverkusen wins this time.
I hope they win the Europa league and German Cup Polska Cup? I hope I got it right. But yes but they might need a defensive signing and a solo run attacker for next season.
They could've lost against qarabag both in 1 and on 2nd leg, but they had a little help from a red card and a huge extra time

There were about a three to four games run where they got some favorable decisions. But all in all they worked really hard and deserve the credit.

Xavi alonso remind me Thomas Tuchel 2020-2021 and Antonio conte 2016-2017. Dont forget 3 defence playing manager has no history of sucededing for long time. Once if alonso tactics are exposed it will be very hard for alonso. Chelsea should never go for alonso neither De Zerbi. Manager like Ancelotti , Klopp, Mourinho, Zidane, Guardiola, Fergusion favours 4 man defence and they make team great when ever they go. In modern football 4 man defence us must

Why compare arsenal and Leverkusen? I understand that we will always do this instead of just appreciate what both teams hve achieved. If leverkusen goes unbeaten in all competition its crazy shit. And whst arsenal did was just pure magic and crazy at the time.
Gurban Gurbanov was so close to beat him. But the referees gave Alonso enough extra time to rig the game.
They must have broken some kind of record for not only being unbeaten but also late, late goals. They have scored so many last kick goals its unbelievable.
Terlalu sedikit perlawanan liga jerman.. Jadual tidak terlalu padat.. Dibandingkan epl 38 perlawanan dgn piala2 lainnya.. Utk memenangi perlawanan tanpa kalah di liga epl tu sungguh mustahil.. @202adr not even that lol I'm a spurs fan and we've finished top 4 alot more than they have in the past 10 years. This is their 1st season back in it in 7 years.
its 47unbelievable unbeaten record....since losting to real Sociedad.and with the titles in their pocket this bond and confidence will grew stronger they will achieve no other team had accomplished before and made a new history

Arsenal invincible are better just compare Bundesliga and premier league at that year.bayer leverkuzen main rival bayern want good to challenge them but at that time arsenal had big rivals and especially pl atmosphere
this is differentfrom arsenal who rely only on strikers......and attacking mid.....xavi tactic implementation team spirit and trust.....you check the player on score sheet.....most matches are different individuals.....he brings the best out of his players.....
