Having a screen used Expanse prop with the Savage industries logo must be easily the ultimate collectible I can imagine.

The expanse is probably my favorite TV show. It's weird to me that nobody else I know has watched it or seems to care to.

I miss the expanse so much I absolutely loved seeing you on it. I still keep wishing the show would get picked back up with the same actors but as the years pass my hope has faded a bit. It is so cool to see all of this!

One of the greatest sci-fi series of all time (the novels are excellent, too). I can only imagine what it'd be like to have tribute props and to have been on the show!

I really hope that they can finish the story one day.

Man, I love The Expanse, but man does it make me sad to see prop pieces getting auctioned, I know a potential new show or movie would get all new costumes and pieces, but still... I'm mourning again.

it's a slow build that revels in mystery and the scope gets bigger every season. Stick with it. You will be rewarded. Needs your full engagement though, don't be half-watching it while scrolling your phone. There is basically no filler. Every detail will mean something, in some cases seasons later.

Keep an eye out for 'multiuse' props. The Rocci's datacores(?) get reused in the Orville(name of ship and show) I think it was for the internals/backend of a food synthesizer.

So cool that they asked to use "Savage Industries" on their gear. Nice Easter Egg.

Hey, Adam, remember the video you did with the prop maker of the show and you looked at Drummer’s exoskeleton? I do believe that piece you were handling was the top part of that exoskeleton they bought.

I watch a lot of syfy shows and the expanse was by far #1. Hell, even the rotten tomato scores for each season, season1 79%, s2 95%, s3 100%, s4 100% s5 100%, s6 96%.

The 1337 tag (looks like maybe a serial number tag) is awesome

The item from the Expanse that is commercially accessible is the data pad holder on the Rocinante Flight Deck Chairs. Has a great skeletonized look.

I'm sad, in many ways, to see the props for sale. It means there definitely won't be any closure to the story threads they spent so much time setting up in the last season.

I clicked on here thinking that savage industries had been making props for tv and not telling us, would be really cool if he could do some some occasionally and document the process. I know he does replicas, but I mean new original screen used props like his pre myth busters days.

He's done a few; search the channel for Year of the Rabbit police truncheon, Ghostbusters: Afterlife death whistle, and Dirk Gently steampunk crossbow (the latter was a prototype as opposed to the final props, but still in the general vein).

I'm still sad the way the story went after the protomolecule made the ring, it all falls apart. But still one of the best SF series out there!

Why have I yet to see The Expanse?! Before you all berate me for lacking, can someone please let me know what platform I can watch it on?

Im still sore about the (second!) cancellation of the series where they cut the last 4 books off and crammed as much into S6 as they could, the book series has so much more cool stuff that would have been great to see realised in the show! The tv show was still a fantastic watch but there could have been more!!! I love that theres little Savage industries logos, so fun I can only imagine how cool that must be for Adam :)

There's still a chance. The TV series covers the first 6 TE novels up to Babylon's Ashes. The next book takes place 28 years later, so they would probably need new props for the show if they ever decide to adapt the last 3 novels.

selling the props during a long and indefinite pause just makes economic sense. Especially as the story has a 3 decade gap. It doesn't preclude picking up again at some point at all.

I tried to love that series, but the divergence from the books got too much after writing one of the 2 people to actually survive the end of the books completely out of the story sadly lost me. I never expect a movie or show to be 1:1 with any book, but there's a point I nope out. Unfortunately that series hit the nope point.

Today, just moments ago, I finally finished _The Expanse_ and had two of these in my Playlist for the 3wks since they were released, waiting to watch them until I finished. 😊 Only felt appropriate. Just wished they would've leaned into the new worlds, instead of making the human strife around Sol the focus. Oh well. At least they SORT OF wrapped it up, albeit the Proto Molecule waking up on that planet (with the 'zombie' child) *_was_* left in limbo. 🫤
