Sorry dylan. I have only just recently found your channel and i must say greatly enjoyed it. I used to be a professional (maxi) driver and i suspect i am gradually ascending into old-bloke ness. The wanigan (waanigan) actually derives from canoeing, it used to be a box or chest that lived in the canoe and had the cooking kit in it...i built one for a boat some moons past, mine was designed to work inside the hull of a wharram cat and then work in the cockpit as well. Funnily enough i am costing up a project with a hunter liberty and just been all the way over to essex to see one.

Genius! The crafsmanship is much improved over the Mk I. I believe you are approaching marketability.

i like doing a full scale mockup with cardboard first.. drawings are handy but getting a sense of size before i build is always helpful

mark 3 probably involved the space beside the galley unit(s)... and ideally be outfitted with a side mounted upward folding table... Mark 2 looks practical though...

we have a team of retired men waiting the chance to put the ktl gaslley box 2 into production. I am confident that we could easily produce 20,000 units a week as for the sliding - that would reduce the storage space even more by taking space under the cockpit this one is a bit big - needs reducing in size by about 20 per cent

Yes, loads better than the mark1, CDW053, but is it a scalable product? I still think a sliding unit running into the Qberth would be a better solution, but then you couldn't cook in the cockpit. But that's just me.

thanks Frank - very nice of you to say so. It has proved very useful. As for falling against it - the boat is tiny, there is no where to fall from. I have often heard it said that the most dangerous thing about saiiling is driving to the boat..... I think the chances of hurting myself on a sharp corner is pretty small.
