The thing I admire most about Adam is his child like enthusiasm for his craft. You can see his eyes light up every time he talks about his passion. What’s impressive is his ability to connect with all types of people, not just those in the maker sphere. You can’t help but get excited along with him. It’s completely infectious.

I worked on this movie as well! I played a guard in the World Congress scenes. Chris Columbus the director wanted to see my costume so they had me put it on and model it for him. Robin was with him. He was so kind and friendly. I remember that during filming, Robin would change out of his makeup after filming all day then come back in to the set to crack jokes and keep the crew going as they filmed shots of the background actors. Such a great guy who is still missed by the world.

Woohoo! We actually worked on the same movie! I was a comper at Tippett. My most involved from from this film was a post editing fix. A scene where he fell out of a window I think, during which his head gets damaged. Since the scene was cut he had to not have that crack in it, so I had to do digital surgery and repair his head. Sadly, I did not actually get to meet him. 😢 Digital, at that time, was far enough after the actual shooting of the material that we rarely interacted with talent.

One of the most underrated films of all time, as well as the best adaptation of Asimov's novels put to film. This was one of Robin's best performances. The advertising didn't do this film justice. When I saw the trailer for this film before its release, it made it look more like a family comedy, mainly because Robin was more well known for his comedies. But he was also able to make you cry, and be dramatic. Instead of laughing, I ended up crying. The only other film that made me cry more than Bicentennial Man was A.I. when it came out two years later. Both films are underrated science fiction masterpieces, imo. If there is one story that doesn't need another adaptation, it's this film, No one can ever beat Robin's performance as Andrew. R.I.P.

I used to own an arm from one of these suits, had it verified by one of crew who made them... it was really well made and very interesting to look at up close, the inside was like a fibreglass type material with vacuum formed outers and the rims that connected to the shoulder and wrist were some form of metal or aluminium... the elbow joint literally folded up into itself. I should never have sold it 😒, a highly underrated movie too with a beautiful soundtrack!

I have watched 'Bicentennial Man' a couple of times a year, every year, since I bought the DVD on its release. The couple of times I deployed to the middle east I made sure I had a copy on my laptop.

A crying shame this movie is not on Blu-Ray. Such a wonderful film. I purchased it just last week. Realised I didn’t own it and it’s only on streaming and DVD. On a sad note, I also recently watched the “Night at the Museum” trilogy. Robins performance in the final movie reduced me to tears. Knowing it was his final film. 😢

I actually have a real soft-spot for Bicentennial Man. I have a deep fondness for that film, for the time I was at in life when I watched it. I really liked it, didn't understand the criticism. Very heart-warming, wonderful cast and a lovely story. William's character was great and I enjoyed his journey to humanity. Thank you so much for this wonderful look at this amazing movie costume.

Bicentennial Man is one of the rawest portrayals of growing up with autism that I've ever seen. I rewatched it with my mom recently and I believe there were four separate moments where we both cried. She gave up a *lot* of opportunities to give me the best shot at happiness, because I am autistic, and when I was a preschooler doctors refused to diagnose me with autism, even though her child psychology textbook spelled out in plain English "this is my own son they're talking about".

I loved that movie as a kid! And would probably love it if I saw it again today. Robin was such a gift to humanity. It's so sad that he had to struggle the way he did. He who gave so much and was so kind to everyone around him.

Fantastic piece of art and equally some fantastic stories. This movie was a family favorite of mine when we were growing up so we re-watched it many times. It tackles all the big questions and is funny whilst it does so, deep and emotional when needs to be. With the rate AI tech, robotics and other "future tech" etc is going it's hard not to think Robots/Androids or digital creations with a measure of sentience won't eventually show up, perhaps even within our lifetimes so the issues tackled in the movie may very well become more meaningful as we truly enter that age and tackle the meaning of life and what makes something or someone human.

I watched this movie once as a kid and never again, this movie absolutely tore me apart. Don't think I'm brave enough to try it again. Robin was an amazing treasure to my generation, and I'm glad that I was alive to see all of his stuff. Truly miss him and I'm filled with regret to not have attended one of his live standups. I'm glad we still have people like Adam around to tell us how much of a joy it was to be around such a person. I also can't imagine the dread of having to stop the funniest man to have ever lived doing a personal performance for you, so you can go back to work. What a great story!

I saw this when it came out to Block Buster Video, even without the cinematic experience, you could feel the emotions on display. Even the early depictions showed the true character without even the face emoting. Robin Williams was so underrated as an actor, it makes me mad he didn't do more. This is my favorite RW movie and I'm not ashamed to say it, It's a solid in my top 15 greatest movies of all time

This is actually one of my favorite movies. I bought it on every format it's been released on until I finally got a digital copy and that was the last one I bought. I try to watch it once per year, sometimes more often. It's a great film for when I'm feeling creative and want a fun movie on in the background but it's also a film I can sit and watch from start to finish and never find it tedious or even too familiar. I've likely seen it at least 50 times but I always find myself enraptured by the performances, the robot suit, Robin's character journey, and the supporting cast (especially Oliver Platt) all doing their best to make a masterpiece of futurism cinema. Thanks for sharing this. As much as I miss Robin and the gifts he gave to the world, I'll always treasure this film as high on my list of not only favorite Robin movies and favorite sci-fi movies, but just favorite movies in general.
