Nah ... their time in the sun is finished. Toyota makes a great one, but people are not buying minivans. They really arent. Chrysler went one too far with their Pacifica. Nice, but too expensive & too late. Smaller families/ now more separate smaller cars are now in the driveway. Fewer soccer moms.

My family had the mighty Astro van LOL a 1986 4.3 V6 four-speed automatic it was the CL. It was two tone red and silver with a red interior. Three weeks after my dad bought it he took it to some detail shop for vans and had a roof rack, ladder, running boards, and mud flaps put on it. For 1986 the van was fully loaded power windows locks Rim package fog lights eight passenger seating. AM FM cassette deck with equalizer. Van was all original and unfortunately with just over 100,000 on it someone ran through a red light hitting the front end and totaled it. The van was fun to drive. Had plenty of power and we got a lot of compliments everywhere we went. It was one of the most reliable vehicles in the neighborhood. A lot of people in the neighborhood went for the minivan craze. We purchase the 86 Astro van, the neighbor across the street purchasing 85 Caravan, 2 Doors up the road the person purchased a Toyota hiace an 1986, catty-corner to the left somebody purchase a 1988 Mitsubishi van. Around the corner a family drove a 1986 Aerostar. We were the only ones that still had our van running in 1994 before the accident. Everyone else's was dead from too many miles engine failure transmission failure it was interesting because when you open up the hood of our 86 Astro van it's still had all the dealership markings and labels on it because the darn thing just ran and ran and ran. LOL a great van with a lot of great memories!

My first one, 1993, had 525,000 km on her ( two trannys though). The second one was 'FREE' lol Cheap parts/ easy to fix/ seldom ever died on me/gonna miss them. Changed the oil every 3,000Km. That was the secret to that great/gas-guzzling 3.2 engine. Fresh oil and filters. Bought a 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross. Just me now. I do not need the space or the fuel bill. They were/ are good vehicles for what they were made for.

I had a '97 Ford Aerostar. I bought it in 2003 for $3000. 83,000 miles on the clock, it had been an Avis rental car and it had a bunch of cheap paint work, but the mechanicals were perfect. I used it as an airport car, and in 2004 during Hurricane Charley, it was parked in the employee lot at Orlando International Airport. The winds turned it 90 degrees! That car was one of the best I have ever owned. Lots of cheap materials, but when the radiator failed it cost me $55, since I changed it myself and a failed heater core 6 months later cost about the same. I would still have it but the transmission would "bang shift" after an 80 mph run on the expressway, and a contractor who was working on my house wanted it. I sold it to him on the cheap, but I wish I had not~ I once put 800 pounds of mulch in bags in that car, then a week later took seven people to a museum in Palm Beach~ Minivans are the BEST!

That Mitsubishi engine was the 'bad choice' to make. The 3.2 was unbeatable, but you had to change the oil every 3,000 Km with a filter if you plan to keep it. The Japanese engine just didn't make the grade. They all had an early death. Mitsubishi just never did well with cars/trucks/ van engines. Always the 'black duckling' worse than Nissan, if that is possible. Early Datsuns were fun though. The 510, 240 Z. Loved them. They are not long for this earth in North America. Lots of manufacturers are going to the cemetery real soon. The way of Plymouth Oldsmobile, Pontiac, all late great rides that just didn't find their way. Hell, GM didn't find its way, except for the exit door. In my humble opinion. Ford, Selente following up. The BIG THREE or the DEAD THREE? Just saying.
