I really hope you will build something in the arctic, I've never seen anyone give it the love it deserves

Its going to be a hell of an up-lift when you get electricity and move all your industry!

Can't the ships supply both ways, instead of using 2 ships to supply one way to Rush and Swords wouldn't it be better to use 1 ship.

I've recently been playing this game, and I've had the issue that the game doesn't recognize the slots. So I had a clipper with 4 slots sending 4 slots of beer to the new world and coming back with 4 rum. The game didn't differentiate and just thought I was trying to fill 8 slots which I didn't have. There's a chance I did something wrong though.

You should be able to use the same slot to load and unload. I’ve done this quite a bit and I’m brand new to this game.

Noice these are the best for me just get on my treadmill and run listening and looking up every so often to keep track of what’s being talked about. Plus I learn random stuff all the time! So useful:)

there are two specialists that help immensely imo: Chef Michel and Sir Lewis Brindley. the first skips the artisanal kitchen and the cannery processes pigs instead of beef and produces some sausages on top. the second increases distillery productivity by 100% and produces extra rum which is together with some Actors (another specialist) enough for Rum coverage. both (or all three) you can get from Eli with some luck. great series, keep it up! edit: also another tip, if Darren doesn't know it already. try switching from Charcoal Kilns to Coal mines if possible cause they are way more productive and space and money effective.

I feel like your original idea of keeping the engineers super concentrated in the center of town is much better suited than moving them on that hill. Seems like the worker estates should be on the outskirts.

Remember to build a fire station on the hill!

I've been enjoying the series but I have a minor quibble, a ship transporting coal would be called a collier, after colliery which is the place coal would be cleaned, graded and sorted after mining.

For such a big Riot, they are very tame... I wonder if they will go burning more stuff ahahah

Love the game. I'm actually working through your series before acquiring the game. I have one question though: Have you ever consider moving the gun placement at Sword to the left in order to balance the spacing between the placement and the docks?

One cool thing you could do is to incorporate production buildings into the cities, thougth it could be a hassle.

Yeah I added a bakery into the town in the last episode, it's next to the school! The bakery has a window to sell stuff, most others don't so I don't think they make too much sense being in the town. But if they look like they fit I'll try squeeze them in

Sometimes, watching him do the infrastructural logistics is really frustrating... Lol he loves to build up all kinds of new areas, but then neglects to put police, fire stations, hospitals, etc. around. Also, if he has such a high chance of rioting/fire/whatever (as shown on the relevant station screen), he might consider overlapping areas between them, or even doubling up. Also, I think your average happiness has seemed to vanish because you had some festivals/news inflating the numbers, then both went away and negative press came out, and you adjusted workforce values based on it before/during. You may want to consider periodically writing down the numbers, then clearing them and checking the stats screen, to see why you had them, or even to see if you need it or more industries. In any case, it's all really great work, and awesome to watch (even if exasperating at times lol). Hope you have a great day, 156 episodes in the future?

Is it possible to have a ship say pick up soap to full capacity from swords, drop it off in rush and at the same time fill up to full capacity of coal, and drop it off at swords? Being a sailor, having a ship sailing empty half the time is an economic disaster :) If this is possible, you could free some ships from that route to do other trading

That's possible yes. Just gotta make sure there's enough space to unload all the soap. Could enable throw overboard for that.

as fennegvfgvd said it is possible, but you can easily back up your ports that way. Either they wait to unload all their stuff, occupying a pier for a long time, or you can tell them to throw their stuff overboard. This "waste" of either time or goods is why I opt to have ships just carry one thing back and forth.

I see, so if it is going to sail back empty it will keep the overflow onboard and head back with it, and if its "scheduled" to load another type of cargo on the return trip it has to get rid of all the soap before it can start loading? I dont have the game myself so by far no expert. You would think that they would implement a "store onboard" option if "throw owerboard" already is one, apparently not :)

Would you mind charing the hotkey for swaping between harbors from world to world so quickly? I know it ain´t strg 1.

It's NUMPAD 1 and 2 It moves the camera to where it last was in the different region, not to the harbour.

Noob question, why are all of your trade routes one-way? In this episode you set up one that takes supplies from Swords to Rush and another one that takes coal from Rush to swords, couldn't one trade route handle both directions?

About Escort Quests and Pirates. Hostile ships that spawn in escort quests are always hostile and do not belong to the pirate AI. These ships spawn out of thin air and attack your escort target. Pirate ships always spawn from their respective Pirate island, unless you destroy the cove, then at some point a ship will spawn in to restore it.

I explain it later, but it can get very messy if you make a consumer good chain dependant on a raw material chain. If you use less coal than bread for instance, your ship will slowly fill with coal it cant drop off. If you set it to dump the excess its kind of a waste

Does anyone else miss the land war, contesting the island with warehouses, as in 1404? I hope that there will be something like that added in season 3 since the Anno team will focus on the "Old World" for it as they said. edit: meat gives you force, per previous video

1404's war system was really cool I thought. Making military supplies for your troops and pushing deeper through enemy towns, capturing towers etc. Was great fun

Don't feel pressured to do the daily uploads! Constant hour long videos every 2-3 days is awesome. Been utterly loving the content and once I've gone through a bit of my backlog I will certainly be picked up Anno 1800. Keep focusing on the quality content and don't slip into quantity just because of a noisy few.

Why dont you share worker between island using worker bay or something? So you dont need to built a vilage in every island.

Your playlist for this series is out of order in multiple stops. Might want to clean that up when you have a moment. Late to the series but enjoying it.
