Its so weird. When I am playing the game on my own I want to rush everything, dont read anything, try to do 1000 things at the same time and when I stop I feel like I didnt achieve anything. But when I am watching you it so satisfying to see you progressing. Even if it’s slower, it is so much more thought through. Really enjoy watching this. Thanks a lot!

It's almost discouraging. I spend an obscene amount of time, restarting endlessly, till I think I have come up with a pretty decent looking city. Then I watch videos like this and wonder why I even bother, lol.

Too bad you can't set some easy difficulty with less micromanagement etc.

You can find them in the options. For Production and stuff it's CTRL+Q,W,E,R and for upgrades it's U etc.

Big buildings only come in the real late game, so give it another 20-30 episodes :) but if your not familiar with it the game will have some nice surprises for you :)

"afraid i'm going over time" lol it wouldn't matter if they were 5 hours long, we'd sit here and watch it just like we are gonna click on the next episode. i've been binging these like everyone else that happens to stumble on these video's. trust me make em as long as you want we wouldn't stop.

That artisan neighbourhood on the cliffside looks amazing. Nice playthrough.

When I heard you mispronounce edelweiss something inside me went, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! And I'm not even Austrian! You sir, need to watch The Sound of Music, poste haste! It's a fictionalized take on the true story of the Von Trapp family who fled Nazi annexed Austria to America, the music is absolutely incredible and you won't be able to forget the song of Austria's blossom of snow. Honestly, the song is so simple and beautiful that I can't forget it. Haven't seen the movie in years and I can still sing it from memory. You sir, are missing out on a grand thing. Edit: My comment showed up double posted so I deleted and reposted.

Love the series, you are an amazing player and it has been so long to watch a chill, relaxed campaing. Regarding the expeditions, I believe shnapps(?) Are both rations and medicine while bread are both faith and rations, some items can have more than one use in the expeditions. I do not know if it shows on the tooltips though.

I am rewatching this while i wait for your new videos, I realised that the boat for the beef and red pepper should have been called peppersteak.

Okay - my jaw dropped when you added soap for medicine on the expedition. I've only just picked up Anno 1800 (though have already put 24 hours into it) and I'm really enjoying your play through series when I can't play the game myself - that was such a simple thing to learn but incredible

Watching these has made me start playing the game again. You were tremendously helpful as the statistic screen was something I never used and it makes it so much easier meeting demands.

You could start naming your warships after types of swords such as rapier, claymore, or gallowglass perhaps...

Still enjoying this series. It's good to watch someone else that know what they are doing in the game and hopefully learn a few tricks for when I play next time. Keep up the excellent work!

This is great content, I have to say. Usually Anno 1800 content is all about speed and efficiency...I like your somewhat laid back approach, no speeding up time etc. I find it funny how the schooner has a sweet and somewhat 'small' voice and when you get to bigger ships, the voices become somewhat more fierce as well. Keep up the great work!

Great episode. I don't watch it as much as I listen to it. I've got very long commutes and I catch on things as the video goes on. Have had a few of those Ahhhhh moments already.

Really enjoying this series so far! Just a quick tip: you were talking about having enough iron for both steel, guns and sowing machines, but you are currently not producing enough iron ore to run both ironworks and the cannery at the same time

I just started with Anno 2 weeks ago and I'm loving it. I completed the campaign only yesterday, and haven't even done a regular survival map yet. I’ve been binge watching “rustynut” he has 27 episode out. Not quite as good as this, but keeps me entertained waiting for more of these.

Great series! Just downloaded Anno1800 last week and finished the campaign. Now I’m laying in bed pretty ill so this is a great way to learn how others play the game! By the way: amount of goods for expedition works so that you only get the full % for 50t of goods. I guess everything below is pro rated. I think I read that on a loading screen.

Can we petition for 4 or even 5 episodes a week

er. Schnapps is both medicine and food, best thing to carry on early expeditions.

2:20 thats one of my biggest hardship playing this game, to get more workers I need more sausages, bread etc, but to get those, I need more workers.
