    At the start of this he thinks the only reason old people think the past was better was because they were younger then. He proceeds to tell stories of his youth and concludes with “yeah, things were better back then”. Astounding!

    Karl's experience with pre-school was basically mine. Parents put me in so I could develop some early social skills, 3 days in a kid hits me in the head with a giant rock and breaks my toy train. Never had to go back.

    yo, you could just open a new tab. it should default to google if you don't think the continual disestablishment of monopoly, the increasingly progressive stance towards social policy, the public shift towards conservation and egalitarianism, and the broadening economic growth aren't having a positive effect on the modern world, you're just ignorant

    Liliputian07 fucking what mate? Progressiveness has become a cancerous mass which is actively trying to destroy any sense of normality. Progressism gets a guy arrested for a joke. And the market is compete shit after the housing crash. Jobs are ridiculously hard to find for people and arguably drug and crime rates are the same if not greater now.

  • @Liliputian07

    @Liliputian07

    6 жыл бұрын

    heheheheheh > Progressiveness has become a cancerous mass I guess it's not that hard to believe you took that bait, but that's all it is - propaganda. The number of arrests made that violate free speech since the year 1940 are 3, and all of them were reneged. > the market is complete shit Not as bad as it was in the 70s. Even the lower classes now have a higher standard of living > Jobs are ridiculously hard to find for people Using the mean of 1970 to 1979 and comparing it to the mean of 2000 to 2009, unemployment is STILL down .5%, from 6.3 to 5.8 - and that INCLUDES the *unemployment bump of 2007.* The mean of unemployment including the years 2010 to 2018, which is substantially *more years,* is *still down* .2% from the 70s decade. How does it feel to be numerically proven incorrect > arguably drug and crime rates are the same if not greater now Except "arguable" means "there's opposing evidence," darling, and there's not. It's a fucking shame you can't use logic to determine proper sources, but that's the state of education - we're almost at the point where people are genuinely intelligent, but instead they're only intelligent enough to think they can argue I was born in 1979. I was also raised in a slum in London and came to America when I was 19. The generation just before me told me about the ridiculous amounts of gun violence (which is 20% lower now, even *including* the uptick in mass shootings) and hard drug abuse (which is down 6% to 10%, depending on the source you consult). They didn't just show me disco and go "what an era!"

    Kevin Twine of course Karl is an ordinary looking bloke. Fitter than Gervais better looking than Merchant. When Gervais laughs at Karl I feel it’s not the same as Merchant.
