My uncle is a pastor and I tried to tell everybody in my family that he is gay because he talks about homosexuals a lot (he doesn't have a problem with them). He keeps articles on gay men, welcomes open discussions about gay men, he mock and jokes about them, got their moves down right to a T; additionally, he tells of stories of his past about being approached by gay men while in high school. Yet, people allow him to still preach in their pulpits.

Funny enough, I actually thought he was gay and that he was initially supported gay men living their truth instead of being down low, until I listened further. I agree with about how many issues the down low behavior creates, HIV, etc. But when he started to demonize gay men in general, I was done. God made all of us, gay, straight, etc. Who are we to judge? Ppl should mind their business, live their lives and respect people, period.

People question his sexuality, but I will say the truth sure has been explained on this Down Low mess and how it impacts the health of black women and the black church.. And he told it.

He needs to accept his own feminine, soft qualities which are clear in his interview. His emphasis on "masculine" may well reflect his own preference. But his comments regarding "demonic origins" are likely to result in "demonization" of people who need love, support, and acceptance. Rather than cast stones, he should confess his own sins.

Aside from what has happened as the result of mass incarceration of black males - the downlow thing is far from a phenomenon Sir. As a Pastor and one who's supposed to have prophetic abilities and discernment - this pastor and people like him should know that this is far from new! I've done videos on the matter and I am also a particular age and was born with the gift to see beyond the veil and there's no doubt that this so called 'dl' thing has always been apart of humanity... The difference is that the introduction of HIV/AIDS exposed it... Then came gay men and former DL men exposing it during the rise of the talk show era and now, the exposure, stories and testimonies of this so called 'phenomenon' has blown up to epic proportions due to everybody having access to the world wide net. Prior to all of the aforementioned - these DL types were mostly unheard of and invisible but they were surely getting it IN on the low! No doubt about it!

I agree with the latter, but children in EVERY culture get rejected and abandoned in one way or another. And it's taking a toll on society as a whole. It's like people (especially black people) tend to be consumed with praising certain ethnicities or what have you. But the Lord have allowed me to see tremendous dysfunction in ALL walks of life, from ALL types of people. Black, white, rich, poor whatever the case maybe. People need to stop looking at and to everyone else to be their hero, example, or savior. And look to God as to what He want you to do about the subject matter that you speak of. His assessment was very telling and it strongly leads me to believe he's either a reformed homosexual who struggled with his sexuality or he's a closeted gay man who struggles with his masculinity. Either way this wasn't about solutions, this was an act.

The gentleman speaking in this interview made a statement saying "out of nowhere" here comes these African-American men that are all of a sudden on the down low and then he spoke on the gentleman who wrote the book down low and he blamed him or placed blame in his on him stating that his book made being on the down low popular so all of a sudden you know the black man began doing that both of those statements are totally untrue black men have been on the down low since the beginning of men being gay and it not being okay. Someone just gave it the name download in recent years and that term became catchy or trendy but there have always been undercover gay men in all communities as well as women but in terms of the black male not being able to be free about his sexuality or choosing not to be honest about a sexuality and entering into these relationships and co-parenting and marriages with women being deceitful is the problem with any DL men not just the black man

I believe people should be who they are even if it is an abomination! Being deceitful is causing people their lives. I am too afraid to date someone of my own race and that's who I prefer. Unfortunately, most people in church are considered what I call, "conditioned readers." It's when you are hammered information before you read the information for proper comprehension and context. The Romans basically took over Jerusalem in a war and its Jew/Hebrew religion. The religious takeover wasn't going over as well as the Romans would have liked. There were many insurgencies and rebellions brought on by those Black Jews who were trying to take back Jerusalem from the Romans, their most Holy City. The Black Jews saw their city destroyed and their religion hijacked by the "Romans." Even the teachings of Jesus was hijacked by the Romans and redacted, leaving traces of His teachings in the mix of their redacted spin. As such, the Black Church inherited the redacted teachings via Slave-masters or what is presently called Wht Supremacy. If you look at Romans, chapter 1 carefully, the problem begin when the Gentiles began to change (redact) the truth about God, placing more emphasis on the "creation" rather than the "Creator." As such, their behavior was plethora of things. Their suffering came from "within." However, other concerns were at hand founded below in verses 30-32. These issues were equally important, if not more! If you note, ppl focus mostly on sex, rather than the other offenses. Why? It's called "conditioned reading." It's when you have a prejudice before you read. In this video, homo-sex is now the in all, be all. That's called discrimination and cherry picking. The church is guilty of framing an institution which encourages ppl to live a lie so that other may feel comfortable. Romans 1:30-32 NLT - They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. For those who care, please read Ezekiel 16 in its entirety. First, read the New Living Translation then the KJV. I hope I helped in some small way... bless all who are striving to live the best lives they can.

Leeza Newill-Codringto, Have you ever viewed Walter Lee Hampton's channel? He gives the tea on Down-low and gay black males. Yes, that is one factor the prison system. When black males are in prison they are wrestling around in the sheets with their cell mates when the guard calls lights out on the cell block. They are hairy bunk-bed-buddies for life after that. Allot of these males go back to prison just so they can see their breaded girlfriends.

I think the time has come where we have to get past trying to be potically correct and fearful of hurting feelings as it relates to this issue. Peoples lives especially AA women are concerned. There needs to be consequences for the people spreading this death sentense. I say make your sexual preference and status information to be put on drivers license and/or state ID with the info updated at the times when license are renewed. Black men and women need to use protection. Black men and women need to have themselves tested. This goes the individual. Also, if HIV was for gay people then straight people wouldn't be affected. The virus affects T helper cells in the immune system of HUMANS. The first cases were found in gay men. That is probly because gay men exchange more bodily fluids than lesbians. Not understanding your forgiveness keeps you tied this world. The same dying world Jesus saved us from.

Instead of choosing to condemn and be disgusted by it. You need to PRAY against these things. Come to yourself and fast and pray. For some things only come by fasting and praying. If my people humble themselves and pray, then I will forgive them of their sins, and hear from them, and heal their land. The problem is MOST people refuse and don't choose to humble themselves and pray and seek repentance. What do they choose to do instead? They choose to bash people, judge, condemn, ridicule, laugh at, and mock people. And that ISN'T good for anyone. They already do that to themselves, and the enemy do that as well. He use condemnation to keep people bound folks. When are we ever going to learn? My people are destroyed due to a lack of knowledge. Not because God isn't giving it to us, but because we refuse to accept it, embrace it, feed off of it, and live off of it and by it. We are to consumed with being bound by the religious and Jezebel spirit. Which only create more drama, division, strife, malice, and chaos in the body of Christ. The reason there is such an epidemic of DL living is because so many people choose to reject the truth of God and His wisdom on how we should live and love and respect each other. I am a transgendered woman who "easily" passes as a female daily and I found myself STOPPING all types of sexual behavior because I don't want to go to hell or contract any diseases. I agree on that completely. I think the community actually has enough issues to make or influence DL to continue. In and of itself DL is a private individual issue. I dont know if its worth it to discuss it much. The root problems havent really been addressed such as how people process forces around them and the low education acumen in the community even the churches are behind these days. exactly true. there was a longitidunal study done on twins and one ended up gay. supposedly ur "born this way" yet twins are genetically identical (almost). environmental factors, trauma etc. was what influenced that twin. nobody is born that way.

ugh! i WISH i could meet this Pastor, on THIS show, and talk about this. I am saved, Holy Ghost filled, speaks in tongues, and......Yes, Gay! OPENLY gay. The CHURCH is the reason for "DL", teaching us to not be what God created you to be. He makes NO mistakes. This pastor says so many contradicting thing! typical black culture opinions. NOT a spirit, read bible, NOT taught or contagious! we all have paths. seek God for it, NOT my neighbor! PLZ CALL ME TO TALK LIVE TO HIM!!!!!! CLEAR THIS UP!

You're right I have no idea what being gay is all about because I'm STRAIGHT duh lol..like I said 6mos ago if you're gay be proud and do you..also being gay also has something to do with sexual feelings the same as being straight or should I say there is an attraction..for example I'm straight and I'm attracted to men..if you are gay then you're attracted to the same sex..I really wanna thank you for taking the time to give me psychological advice on what being gay is..really changed my life smh
