I do not know what was done to me as when i blacked out it was as if i had never existed. and yep , i still tell people , take your drink with you to the loo and don't drink much in the first place. i am not even sure i am being listened to.

Getting tested is essential to effectively managing HIV so it does not progress to AIDS. the reason why the statistics for African Americans is so high is because many of us have avoided getting tested for years. So when we do get tested and start treatment this virus has already done significant damage to the immune system. Founding out that you are HIV+ is a life event, and you will definitely have to make lifestyle changes in order to manage this virus.

Found a infectious disease specialist who can help you manage your health, take your meds everyday, change your lifestyle, and found a support group or counselor that can help you deal with the emotions that you are dealing with. Depression combined with stress is the #1 reason why people stop taking their meds and get off course by using recreational drugs and promiscuous sex will help them to cope

I am glad that they are alive. The fact that you may have to take 19 pills a day is enough to make you want to abstain. Prison guards just let them do whatever they want to do I guess.

As much as I've watched these videos and read about this, I should know this by now, but I don't get how this man Anthony says he's had AIDS--not HIV, but AIDS for such a lengthy period of time AND he still looks normal. The images I see of people with AIDS, when performing a Google search, look nothing like him. They are extremely skinny, pretty much all bones. They have sores everywhere. They are bedridden. Without me being rude, you know how badly they look... On top of that, Anthony says he's in pain, but obviously it isn't to an extreme extent or else he wouldn't even be talking. I'm guessing HIV/AIDS pain isn't that painful??? If anyone still checks this video--can you explain why these people on KZread that say they have full blown AIDS look nothing like the Google images? Again, not HIV, but AIDS itself. Either way, sorry to say this, but HIV & AIDS still scare the hell out of me. Best wishes and healing to those suffering!

Hey honey, to clear things up if you have AIDS you also have hiv, but having hiv doesen't necessarily mean you have AIDS. AIDS is defined as having a t cell count of 200 or less, or they might diagnose you with aids if there was an aids related disease present such as the skin cancer lesions you were talking about. AIDS itself isnt painful, but it gives way for opportunistic infections to occur. Without the antiretroviral drug cocktail people can only expect to live for 10ish years. Im assuming he is on medication, which supresses teh replication of the disease in him. Furthermore if he is on treatment and has an undetectable viral load it becomes nearly impossible to give it to someone else. Because so many people who are positive dont know it, it technically is safer to sleep with someone who has a clue and is on treatment. because their treatment is your prevention. I'm not saying be unsafe, but be realistic to what is actually safe. hiv isnt so bad. him not happy about it, but im owning it. if i had one wish it would be to spare me the desire for love approval and appreciation, not to be free of hiv.

+bob paulson 10 ish ? that's not true-you understand the process , but not completely-do a little more research-it's not a question of HIV being that bad-no one should have to have a virus in their body and feel it's ok-you are in denial and you have to own it-but you are just saying that you really feel things would be different if I din't have this virus in my blood-now you got to live to take care of that and want to live . That is human nature.....don't try to find a reason to feel you deserved what you got-you can be angry or decide to change your behavior and health and use the resources available to you to change your thinking and choices, but it's is that bad-it's like being on drugs 20 years and getting clean and coming to grip with the reality you are no longer young-you wasted your life using and a person may not remember those 20 years-but until a person has accomplished goals-not just getting a disability check -living home and having a car-maybe working p-t-and you're clean it is still not going to be right until a person can change and progress otherwise it's an attitude of self defeat to think you can say I could've been this. I watched a documentary where this guy had HIV and he was in good shape, working, nice home but he felt tired mentally of trying to stay alive-eat right-exercise and living with the stigma-he decided he rather die while he was healthy instead of falling apart bit by bit! He went away -moved said goodbye to his family-and friends gave everything away and killed his self/he said thats what he wanted to do /his lover had died of aids and he missed him and he felt they would be reunited!

You gotta give it to these guys though. At least they had the courage to show their faces on video, and tell the world that they're HIV positive. These men made mistakes in their lives, just like the rest of us. But unfortunately, they have to pay the price for it. I think these men are trying to make peace with themselves, before they leave this earth. And, that's probably why they made this video, to inform others.

From the ancient cultures, there is a famous saying... "You can judge a man by what he eats.". Our race is looking and acting like the diet we keep. A abundance of junk foods and meats has a large percentage of our community acting like junkies, people full-of-violence and bewildered. If there is to be a major change in the community, we need to start with the root causes of our problems , , , starting with what we put in our mouths, because "YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT".

I wasn't suggesting that it is a waste of money to treat people who are sick. That's being compassionate. As you pointed out, people are going to do what comes natural to them, even if it involves risk to their health & life. If you choose to do the natural, you have to accept the inherent consequences. So, it really does come down to altering your behavior so that you may LIVE.

Me too. But I think he really means 17 cause there is no such thing as a partial t-cell and the testing isn't even accurate to the individual t-cell. Still, that's amazingly low. Even in general terms he looks quite good given that he's been infected for over a decade!

You can throw all the money in the world at AIDS research & prevention & it'll be money wasted if people don't change their behavior. We've been dealing with this thing for 3 decades. Everyone knows at least the basics concerning protection & prevention, so why's it still a problem? Because people will be people & they're going to do what they want to do in spite of the known risks. Sadly, there is no cure for that kind of mindset.

I give $25 or $50 or more or I just pray, which ever God wants me to do whenever me or my family need more healing. Its a christian ministry you can put your prayer requests on his website just click on 'prayer request'. You can call his prayer center and someone will pray with you. Also, CBN's 700 Club is a good christian ministry to give to also. I have experienced such quick sudden healing with both ministries!! Check them out online, God is awesome!!! God bless!!!
