As a young girl I told myself I never wanted marriage or a REAL relationship. I just wanted my family around and to be successful. It worked out soo well for me. Of course I had friends. When I got into a serious relationship at 30, my life spiraled. And I changed many of my player ways for this man. Worse mistake of my life.

They struggle with the stigma associated with being gay. Why should anyone be something they are not to please someone else? Live your truth and the truth will set you free.

I am happy for you girl. I did not have the happy ending. It has been tough but I'm dealing. I try to explain to others about the down low. bringing that home to me and the children, you remove the kids from having a father. this was an educated man. I found out too late. I wish others the best thank God I have been living for 20 years but it has not always been easy.

It's not just in the church -- it's all over and it's nothing new! I knew of these dl types before a name was given to them when I was a child... AIDS/HIV and people opting to live in their truth is just forcing it into the light.

What a powerful testimony...and sad at the same time for black women....

beautyfool some are carriers and it may take 10 years for it to show up. They spread it to their partners who’s intimately involved with them. There was a T.V. special on this years ago. When it attacks them its full blown and take them out quickly.
