Hey Guys, this is me Skeptix. This is my alt channel that I use as a testing ground for KZread content. I work with a company that helps people with their KZread channels, and I so I wanted to understand the platform more. So I took the best performing Zombies content on my channel too what would happen when placed on a channel with 0 subscribers. Things were going pretty bad for a while and I honestly had forgotten about until the last few days. This is not a trick or a gotcha and no one is stealing from me. It's just me testing stuff. That being said, I often wonder if Skeptix has a bit of an algorithmic issue and so I have been thinking about pivoting to a new name. So I will continue to upload here from time to time, and who knows maybe one day I will make the shift if things feel like they are going that way. this almost made my blood boil thinking it was a reupload of Skeptix video, let me know what data you find on this project.

In my opinion its simple, they went down the EE path and didn't look back. Zombies for most people is just going for high rounds, I remember hopping on BO4 recently, after getting master prestige throughout the normal game cycle, and still having either no clue, or a super vague understanding of where anything was on any map. I cant imagine how any new player would be able to handle that, in addition to only having 4 hits (which ended up making the game harder for casuals). Plus the EE's felt like a chore compared to BO3, gameplay became secondary and you see that in the time passing since the game has come out. In a vacuum a great zombie experience, but too many unnecessary changes were made to the game mode that nobody asked for.

44:25 That is 'survive in the grand staircase while all of your movement controls are reversed' and it is MONSTROUS! Me and two of my friends beat it by having one person camp in a corner on each floor and whenever someone goes down one person activates their scepter of Ra and slowly but surely makes their way to the downed player. Was the calling card worth it? Not really since we did it several years after BO4's prime but it is what it is!

The one real disagreement I have here with the side eggs is free Pack. I always do it while I’m down in the engine room and save it until it’s time to go into boss fight, and for the final phase of the fight I’ll have unlimited ammo. That’s good enough reward for me to do it. Also, the shield is fun to do in process, as long as you don’t shoot the firework on the first go. He drops free power ups a ton, so vaguely following the car around the ship (which you’re doing anyways if doing a full map train) rewards you, and when you feel your shield’s durability isn’t up to snuff, you finally upgrade it.

Yeah, I mean, these are all fair critiques. I guess I just never felt the need to go into the boss fight with full ammo as you get a ton of max ammos in the fight but it makes sense from your perspective. And yeah the shield is fun to do, but damn is it a long process and it doesn't really seamlessly integrate into the main quest. Which I think would have been cool.

The moment I heard your opinion on the Planets step was the moment I knew you were a real one. This is my favorite zombies map of all time, with no close competition. The other chaos maps, blood and tag, zet and origins, moon and Mauer, they can get kind of close, but nothing will make me feel like playing this map makes me feel. People are way too hard on this map.

People are hard on it because they have Aether boners. Chaos story instantly became my favorite story simply from all the content it provided and it had a clear direction of where it wanted to go; and I love Greek Mythology. From a gameplay perspective, the chaos maps have so much replayability: all the enemy varieties: catalysts, blightfathers, heavy hitters- oh man, I absolutely love it! Elemental variants of other weapons- it's all great.

Im so thankful for your videos. It feels like a podcast and is perfect because i started with bo4, knowing nothing than just buy punch survive. Titanic ahh voyage felt good but it got pretty boring pretty fast. Blood of the dead was more fun but harder. What i wanna say is it's cool to get some justice for bo4 light and shadow :)

I love upgrading the shield on voyage of despair every time I play it. It’s fun to see the players reactions lol

Voyage is actually pretty fun, its the only zombies map during the bo3/bo4 stretch where I felt like they actually made zombies scary again.

This is the first map I decided to play after like, 4 years of no BO4. I once thought the map and both a fun layout, and was great to play on. I played it today, died two times due how close quarters everything felt, and how I always felt lost, and then decided to play a different map. While the beauty hasn't dissipated, my feelings on the gameplay have. This is a great video essay. Thank you.

I don't think that BO4 mistreated the Aether story or even handled it badly. So often you see this idea that they lazily threw together remasters at random to make up for "prioritising" Chaos but that's absolutely not the case. From the release of Chronicles they were very clear that the maps not included in that pack had been excluded for very specific reasons so they could be used later so it's plain to see that a lot of planning went into exactly how they were going to use BO4 to wrap up Aether's story. Compare that to Chaos whose story was a bunch of random, sometimes interesting ideas thrown together with loose theming linking the maps, one of which ditches the crew entirely for no actual reason. One storyline was definitely a messy collection of ideas not fully thought through but I think the idea that it was Aether purely because their maps were remakes is honestly pretty far-fetched. Were there missteps along the way? Absolutely. Were some of the ideas much better on paper than in execution? Again, absolutely but that's been the case for every single game in the series and people like to forget that because they just look at the previous games with nostalgia.

I liked chaos way better than the crap remake maps and horrible end to the story of Aether..

Ain’t no way he said voyage and origins layout are reminiscent to each other. I’ll give you the back-and-forth but voyage is to the 10th dagree with also being up and down at both ends of the map and the middle. Also, Origins does not have tight corridors.

It's insane how obsessed Activistion and TreyArch are with Satanism and the dark occult. I loved the zombies storyline and COD journey, but now that I'm older I just find it cringe how obsessed they are with Aliester Crowley, his views and beliefs. Practically all of BO4 zombies was paying homage to Aliester Crowley. The maps, themes, and storyline all foreshadow too much with real world issues past and present with the seed wars spiritually, and secret societies. Like with the jab at The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (or Golden Dawn for short) which was the cult that Eminem's great grandfather founded and taught Aliester Crowley all he knew about witchcraft, until they had a falling out due to Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers bothering Crowley with the way he allowed spirits to embody him. He cut connections from his mentor and practically became the main beast for hollywood and the occult to follow and worship. It's sad, but Jesus is King
