Galen Merek was also a force user that was capable of doing this. there was a move he was capable of doing in the force unleashed game where he lifted everyone and controlled his lightsaber to hit all of them. (DS version at least that i remember)

In Jedi Academy, during its final act, the protagonist gains both a guided saber throw and the ability to dual wield lightsabers. An interesting side effect of it is that you can now attack two different enemies, at different distances, at once, because the protagonist only throws one sword, while the other one remains and can, in the meantime, be used for melee attacks. I think it's related to this video's topic somehow...

That does make me curious if anyone used lightsabers similar to Chakrams. Often throwing the sabers, but also able to use them in melee combat if need be.

I'm a big fan of Kotor, so an excuse to hear about characters from it will always be appreciated. 😊 I know Kreia isn't always the most popular character, in the EU block, and she's complicated, but I like aspects of her, and was definitely a fan of her kinetic combat style. I don't remember Vandar Tokare knowing it, but that's fine, and I am glad I could learn. It is too bad that, when he did finally meet his end, such skill couldn't help him, as I'm rather sure Master Tokare was one of the Masters who died when Darth Nihilus went all Galactus, and slurpeed Visas Marr's homeworld.

I personally like to think that because of the fact that Vandar is so different like his skin colour. His always normal speech, and his last name because he might be "hybrid" between his species and another. Like how Kanan Jarrus' son is

Tactically, telekinetic light sabers are insane, especially if you can hold one at the same time... use one for a frontal attack to distract, other like a surprise spear and your personal blade for defense. As long as you can keep your focus, the strength is insane. That's kind of a Sith goal though which is probably why Crea did so well with it. Triple the sabers, triple the fall. 😊

It seems those who are mages or magical counselor would use do that lightsaber swinging without touching it, Yoda played with it Count Dooku is found another user who used 6 lightsaber to fence him; he basically thought "the blades are easily blocked" he said something that he usually says when telling his opinion, and when obi-wan(between AOTC ~ Clone wars) was at different time practicing against the same being he was terrified by the onslaught, I wonder how fast will Jedi usually swing. Jedi are too beautiful to be touched by a fan trying to tag them with their body; for a Jedi using 2-3 thin paint brushes for anyone without a tool to block to win.

Begs the question, why wouldn't a Jedi use it for blasters instead? Aiming at a target and pulling the trigger is going to be a lot easier than using a lightsaber like that. It could probably free them up to use a lightsaber too.

The only way that I could think of for this form to be even moderately effective is , similar to what some actual humans might refer to as spirit-walking . Spliting your consciousness so that you can watch from above and , aid your physical body with another viewpoint to block attacks that may have been harder to block without help . But that would probably run the risk of developing dissociative personality disorder , or totally splitting your spirit like others have in canon or legends lore .

Telekinesis sword style is more over to situational usage not really blade style. Noticing all stars wars fighting style only seen a few snapshot of either an Jedi or a Sith using it just to flinch their opponent to block and add with a force push or pull. Or maybe just to stall time in observe their opponents. Mainly good, to battle droid or testing the opponent defense and then finding the enemies sword style before entering a battle in the physical aspect. We seen it with Vadar, Yoda, Kane fight seen with the Inquisitor, Darth Maul and etc..

Would Ashoka using her two lightsabers to cut a circular hole in the ground be a sort of milder form of kinetic combat? Granted she wasn’t using them against an opponent but she would still have to maintain concentration on holding them away from her body as well as keeping them active as she spun around in a circle

In Yodas case.... the way he seems to do it seems to be a little Force Chainsaw or Treeshredder in action... "Kinetic style" indeed.. A.k.a. the Force bouncing ball from Hell if Vandars style looked anything like Yoda's when Vandar actually held his blade... Though sounds like maybe not, since seems he's basically LITERALLY fighting with his mind. You CAN'T fight an enemy not there. Sounds like any Force user SHOULD be able to levitate something an THEN use it too.. in the OT we saw Yoda LITERALLY having Luke doing handstands WHILE balancing HIM an using the Force too if remember right from rewatching the OT.

You dont have to parry with this style. Its all offense. The only reason parrying and maneuvering is needed in hand to hand is bc of the body behind the blade. If theres no body then it becomes like a bullet. You just send them in endlessly and in theory if you offset the timing and have atleast 3 sabers then youll have 2 sabers flying in at the same time every other rotation of attacks Even if you swung the blade, the force is not restricted to movement limitations like ligaments are so it could instantly just shift to dodge their blade and swipe up through the defender. Its arguably more broken than any other
