searched for the app its not showing
defintly on of the better looking glasses even from the side. still wanting to see a 4k equivalent ppi model but these look nice enough to give a try.
Unfortunately these suffer from the same problem as the others. 1080 per eye is not enough to replace monitors, since you're only using a fraction of that for the screen itself. Looks like I'll be waiting a couple more years (I really AM eager for monitor replacement in glasses form though).
Thanks for the review. Does it support Side-by-Side stereoscopic 3D support?
The question I keep asking about these types of glasses that I haven't been able to get an answer for is: If I use an HDMI adapter (for those that have them. This one doesn't seem to) and hook up a 3D blu-ray player, will they actually unpack the 3D signal properly into the left and right screens? Everybody just says they'll play 3D movies through the app. I've got an aging OLED 3DTV that's started to have a lot of burn-in from being used as my primary PC display and if I replace it my only apparent choices to still be able to watch 3D movies are: ultra-short throw projector (which I don't really have room for, especially as I'd also need a regular TV for my monitor), ripping my 3D blu-ray library and watching on my Index (not ideal due to screen door effect and not as good color), or possibly a pair of these AR glasses (or something overly expensive like a Goovis Pro).

Hey mate i've got a set of these glasses coming next week. If i can find one of my 3d blurays that i have somewhere i'll give this a try. To be honest i never even thought about doing this but if it works it'll be a game changer!! I somehow don't think it will though.

That looks awesome! i'm thinking of getting one tbh
We're getting there. I wonder if physics just means we'll never get the glasses the same distance from our eyes as regular glasses? I prefer the idea of these ones that are tethered (physically or by BT/Wifi) to the processing power and battery of another device like phone, PC, games console etc.
I’m feeling tempted 😮
curious about text clarity, I will ask the same once the Quest 3 comes out but of course I will have one ordered either way for the Quest 3 passthrough based on what we've seen.
How can we use headphones if USB phone port is already used by the glasses ? Does it include a passtrough USB port somewhere ? Another question, if connected to a PC, is there a lag ? Is it useable to play fps games ? Thank you for all your amazing reviews and tests 👍
they looks massive
These or the Nreals? I might by for Prime day tomorrow, but I need to know which are better
I'm just waiting for proper stand-alone AR glasses in this size. Or that you can clip on to your glasses.
Do they come with see through behind clothing ?
Is it good enough to use it as a second monitor with a pc?
Really curious to see how the S+ will compare to this one, with the upgrades and improvements that they’ve made there!
Love the windows t-shirt. where can I get it?
Hey Tyriel! The line on your right thumb, have you had a doctor examine it? It can be very benign, but also something worth getting examined. Great content as usual!
Ar glass for bigscreeen what best ever to buy???❤
Is it 2D to 3D conversion they use, 3D only or 3D simulated in other, artificial way, that works great, ok or just ok or not ok?
You can use for watching Netflix app ?
How are they, compared to NReals?
@sheld0n

The proprietary cable will be a pain to replace if you lose it or wear it out. But the software looks a lot nicer here. I'd say don't bother with Nreals for your phone unless you have Samsung Dex. The Nebula app is pretty much just a useless placeholder/proof of concept. If you have Dex and/or a Steam Deck, Nreals are great.

@sheld0n I already have the NREALS and just use them as an external display. I find the software for all AR glasses I tried to be bloated, intrusive battery drainers, so don't even install them.

@@rushmore3927 The TCL software looks much cleaner though. I wish we could use it with the nreals.
Is there an app to keep the screen centered.
Hi Tyriell thanks a lot, for this very interesting, informative and Professional video (Dog included) Recently I‘m looking for a headwear (glasses) like this, because TECHNICALLY THESE ARE NOT AR GLASSES. Unfortunately THERE IS NO APP IN THE APP STORE, which means we IOS-Users, have drawn the ASS-CARD. Your video made it clear, that it ISN’T ABOUT WHICH IS THE BEST PRODUCT, but more like: WHICH PRODUCT IS COMPATIBLE with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad Pro and so on. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
is there any way movies in 3D...? excellent video
I dreamt at my landscaping job of having something like this to watch movies and videos while I was working. I tried a smartwatch my hands were rarely in a position to see it.
For which ipd area are the glasses suitable?
@MotoCat91
11 ай бұрын
These kinda of things don't really have IPD adjustments (from what I could find) because the "distance" of the display is not intended to change, nor are they meant for VR/AR style 3D.. They tend to be suitable for anywhere from ~55-75mm on average and the wider your IPD the closer the screen will appear to be (like an 'average' user might see the floating screen at 4m distance but someone with a large IPD might see it as close as 2m distance) I've also seen that people with IPD >70mm may have difficulty seeing the outer edges of the display as the optics get rather distorted at this point, which would make it hard to play games that have important HUD elements right near the edges.
I’m way more interested in the RayNeo X2. Do you know when this one might come out?

Yes, birdbath is not that great of a technology with all the heat and all.
Will it toss the screen around in an airplane or car. Do any of the AR work well in that scenario. After all they are AR
There are so many and I am so confused. Rokid air/max Nreal/XReal, Airs are half price now second hand. So many say that Rokid Max are the best for the price. I just want something nice. I don't usually buy anything for myself.
What's the FOV?
How is Plex working on glasses?
So can i play demeo on th a t ?
Could I use these glasses to have multiple big screens for my laptop at work? Atm my desk space at work is limiting the monitor size I can utilize

You can with Xreal Air
The biggest issue with these glasses is that you can't use them to watch any 3D movies without doing a lot of cumbersome customization with resolution and aspect ratio. I have the XREAL Air 2 Pro and have not been able to play ANY 3d videos from KZread. Going to 3D mode just splits the video into to separate half/half but they are apart from each other with no 3D effect whatsoever.

Prime day :) it starts tomorrow
I'll be honest I love the AR is AR look over the generic sunglasses look... in the same why I admire the PS 5's look over the Xbox series X... One is made to stand out as a device the other is meant to blend in.
this one is more expensive and the same like the others without standalone all in one system, just a cabled monitor which cant do anything on his own.... is there any standalone ar glass? dont want to be cabled to my phone all the time, my magic leap one i get for 199$ on ebay has 120fps and true ar plus a mini pc unit which works great but is still cabled, hopefully we get some standalone ar glasses in the future, right now it feels like waste of money plus using the phone as a pointer control without handtracking(magic leap one has handtracking and a controller) is a silly idea because the phone will feel like molten hot fireball after longer time, maybe ragnaros the firelord will buy this things to see his victims suffer.

I totally agree with you 👍
This is not for me. I need something with 120hz or better.
XR should not look like classes, they should have their unic look
They're getting damn close to being a legit replacement for a monitor.. 49PPD according to their own measurements I sit 1m away from a 55" 4k OLED, which is the biggest screen I've ever used but also around the same PPD that I've had for the past decade at ~61PPD (same as a 27" 1440p display at 78cm) Anything over 40 is damn near perfect imo for all scenarios except for games with poor anti-aliasing algorithms.. I just wish it had higher FOV and resolution. This would fill the same field of vision as a 32" display at 1m (far smaller than my 55") which is perfect for 2D games but far too small for me in work/productivity, or general browsing. I also noticed they list this as 45 degree FOV, but every online calculator I try says their own spec of 130"@4m = 39⁰.. 45⁰ would be 150"@4m (Maybe they use diagonal and every calculator defaults to horizontal measurements.. because the rest of their numbers line up fine -- yep, just checked and 39.5hor = 44.7diag, close enough -- ) Anyways once we reach 4k res with diagonal FOV >70⁰ and 120Hz I am so in, even if it costs double what this one does (as that'd still be extremely competitive with large format OLEDs) And they don't have to look like poorly fitting imitation RayBan Wayfarers.. they aren't for walking around in public as a fashion accessory so function should absolutely take priority over form
I don't understand the use case at all. It costs more than a Quest 2, requires a phone or a PC. Has a refresh rate of 60Hz, It seems like it blots out the real world so much in order to see the screen that im not sure it really qualifies for AR. I don't think it's there just yet. Maybe if you take a lot of plane flights and are embarassed of larger headsets it might be ok? Hard pass for me.
