Good video. Whoever is renting this on Turo though is claiming it's a Carrera S, but it's a Carrera with an S emblem and red calipers but the calipers are the smaller ones from the Carrera. You can also see on the gauge the beginning that it says 911 Carrera. You can't change that to say 911 Carrera S.

I have a 991.1 c2s since '15. This car is way more than what an average drivers can truly handle.

Nice vid man. I rented the same exact one right near the airport and I had a blast with her but just a heads up, its a base model Carrera and not the Carrera S. The dude just changed the badging on the back of the vehicle. What confirmed it for me was the panel on the floor once you open the door. It said Carrera instead of Carrera S. He was able to change the badging on the back by simply adding an S but the Panel cannot be faked. I had a blast with that car but just felt like pointing that out because I thought it was a scumbag move

Birds are clean car haters! Seriously though... For me as well, a 992 911 is not financially in my foreseeable future. Although I make a great amount of money; having 3 college bound kids in 4 yrs, saving up for their investments, saving up for my own retirement, life expenses, etc. etc., I just can't justify spending 120k + on a car. But you sir, have inspired me. I never thought about heading down to Miami (NO FAMILY!) to just enjoy a weekend and rent a bucket list car. I can definitely afford to do this and at least get to experience the enjoyment of driving such a machine before I leave this earth. Again, thanks for that inspiration! Hitting that subscribe button.

I’ve had exotic sports cars, they sit in the garage and you take them out from time to time, after a while they become like just another car, so what I do now is I rent them when I go somewhere, I rent them for a week, get it out of my system, and then I’m good, and I don’t take the massive depreciation on them anymore

Another commenter pointed out some flaws with the model. Also note that the bu.pers do not match. Sport on the front and stock on the rear. Ha e a feeling it was maybe damaged at some point. An S is quite different. Did he market it as an S?

Yup was listed as an S in Turo.

this is a very cool review. it is true however that this is a base model. no S in the rocker panels or on the engine. so someone on turo actually took the time to paint the brake calipers red, and then lie about it being the S trim? that is actually wild!

You’re wrong this is definitely an S It has the sport design package which isn’t available on a base Carrera. Also, it has the “PASM” system, which is why it’s so low like he mentioned. That option isn’t available on the base Carrera either

@@TheDougSpotIt only has the sport design front clip, not the rear. My suspicion is that it got hit in the front and the standard bumper cover was replaced by this one. On the dash, it says “Carrera” on the S it says “Carrera S”. The brakes are the smaller diameter standard discs, not the larger S. I could keep going.

@@Rex_Racer The sports exhaust is an option on the S, it’s not standard. I’ve spent the past week in the Porsche configurator trying to figure out what spec I want to order, I would know. This is a Carrera S with the Sport design front fascia, and the pasm sport suspension.

@@Rex_Racer Again, you are wrong. Like I said before, it has the sport design front fascia, which is a $3,300 option instead of the sport design package which is almost $5,000. The brakes aren’t the smaller ones, they just look smaller because these wheels are and inch larger than stock. This is 100% a Carrera S

Sooooo ghetto/classless to put an S on a base Carrera. It's obviously a base 992 because those exhaust tips are NOT available on the 992 Carrera S. What's ironic is that anyone who will be "impressed" by this car will know it's not an S. SMH!!! Fail!

Saw this in my recommended, wanted to see if anyone noticed in the comments.

This a base 911 C2. NOT an S You got bamboozled by Turo. That said, base is still great 👍🏽

It's not an S .. But it doesn't need to be. A Carrera is perfect for the streets.. you can really drive a C2 through the range .. An S is more maco that's why someone painted the calipers red but the breaks look small because they are intended for 19 / 20 rims....A Carrera. Though clearly an awesome car. Just enjoy it. There are no duff 992s

Tailpipes like that are only available on the Carrera. Personally I'd prefer they left like it came out the factory. I guess wealth doesn't guarantee taste or class.

If you’re going to review a car, you really should know the cars in the lineup and the specs. Carrera S has 6 piston caliper up front, not 4 🤦🏻‍♂️ (Carrera 4S owner 🙋🏻‍♂️)

It said Carrera s on the back so I can see why he would take it for face value. He is not a professional reviewer. Just sharing what he found. Y’all should get off your high horse.
