The Pizza Show: Sicily

Ойын-сауық

Frank is headed to the motherland, Sicily. Not only does he visit his family in the small town of Baucina, where they are celebrating Santa Fortunata, their town's patron saint, he also explores the pizza scene in Palermo. In Sicily, it's all about the Sfincione, the regional style of focaccia that is traditionally topped with breadcrumbs, anchovies, and a hard sheep's milk cheese. Viva Santa Fortunanta!

This series has really taught me that there is beauty behind all forms of pizza, the variations of pizza from Sicily amazes me. Even though the ingredients are simple, theres still an intricate art in making pizza whether it be in a full scale wood burning oven or somebody's home kitchen. Thank you Frank and munchies, keep the content coming!

Wow this went deep into the Sicily roots💙💙 as a Mexican from Sauhayo Michoacan, we also have a similar celebration for a saint named Patrón Santiago, people dress up in colorful outfits and different ones, some even carry big heads made of newspaper its pretty cool too. Amazing how connected and similar we all are if we really look at it💙💙

So my niece and nephew got to spend a week Palermo Sicily and they loved it. I was going to go with my sister and her husband Franko to visit his family but the sad thing is the world got his with a terrible Virus Covid-19 and then everything got into quarantine lockdown! 👎😷😥😷👎

In Bulgaria we have very familiar food like these in Sicily. But we call them „Zakuska“ People love them for breakfast and when you make a drink from Yoghurt mixed with cold water and salt (Ayryan) - it’s just amazing! While i was watching this film, i could feel the taste of most of the pizzas from Sicily. 😁
