@@22Hammy I remember Hooky saying in the past that items he owns from his New Order days were "tarnished". I think that may have something to do with letting go of that Yamaha. It's a shame for me that when I watch old performances of New Order with Hook I get a tarnished feeling in my gut knowing what would eventually happen when Hook left the band.

I've seen so many of those bass guitars in the recordings of live gigs that I can tell which guitar was used in which song and when it was used, that's how much I loved New Order's gigs. Sadly I've never had the opportunity to see you live because I was born in 2005 and still I feel so connected with the band that it almost hurts as well to see you letting go of all your old equipment. But that's exactly what I admire about Hooky: He was and is able to let go of the past. As much as I want to see him reunited with the rest of the band, I accept his choice and I think it's a big proof of Hooky's strength of character that he left. But maybe, one day, I'll be able to see you live - because it's a dream of mine to finally see the man who plays the bass like no other and helped to create the music that I love the most. Thanks for the insight of your personal arsenal of equipment and I hope you can earn a fortune by selling those sacred guitars ;-)

Ouch I missed this one! I was deeep in WA central desert when this auction happened. I saw the prices they seemed reasonable I wonder what or if Hook will have another? I'd like to bid on lyrics myself. The prices seemed half of what they would have brought. 15k for the Bass seems low to me. What an increadable person Hook always has time for fans and giving his own history so people can share . Seems this auction wasn't about money and more about him giving thanks to his fans. All musicians could learn a bit from him.
