When it comes to assembling products at home...if the directions are clear...simple language...step by step...one task per sentence...one task per illustration...and all the parts are there...I don't mind putting things together and sometimes actually enjoy it...but that is rare. My wife and I moved into a new place a few years ago and did many "put stuff together" afternoons. The less clear the instructions, the more frustration we experienced. Most of the shelves and furniture and stuff we'd put together, I'd give a B-. When we'd get the occasional A, we'd both be nodding and smiling at each other a lot, like, "Now that is how it's supposed to be fucking done!" It's like a pleasant surprise that someone was actually thinking about us, the people putting their product together, and trying to make it as pleasant a task as possible. My hands down favorite was my SecetLab gamer chair. The last time I played a video game, I had to put a quarter in it. But I really wanted a sturdy chair that reclined well and theirs looked good for my price range. It's a huge frickin chair with many intertwined components...but the packaging was fantastic and the directions very very clear and easy to follow. They were printed on this big cardboard poster like thing. Something an 8 or 80 year old could read. I only had one minor snag that was totally my fault. I just took my time...did one thing after another and the next thing I knew I had this big ass darth vader looking thing in my office and thinking, Nice! So yeah, all about the directions.

Hey Sebastian- the word is “SPECIFIC” not “PACIFIC”! $20 million dollar house, movie career, etc. you should have listened in your Arlington Heights middle school classroom!
