I Totally AGREE with Sebastian. My parents were VERY strict. I was born 1972. My Mother was Roman Catholic, my DAD was Presbyterian and a Deacon in our Prominent church....we fought back at times, but, Guess What.... they ended up with Us as a Nurse, an Attorney and an Engineer as their Three kids ... SO, DON'T JUDGE .... Parents who LOVE, but have Rules and Boundaries, create some Great People in OUR Society.....Just a thought. ❤

Nah, Pete is so good bro, a comedic genius, had me dead this whole cast. There was a few parts I had to go back and watch like 5 times, the stroke, the arm socket.

Parents who are busy parenting vs being their kid's friend produce the most independent, resilient, successful children. And if they did it right, they become a friend to their adult children later in life...but they never cease being a parent. I love the show guys!

LOL I ran track in school and my dad did the same thing that Sebastian is describing with his dad. I think my dad wanted to concentrate on what was going on without having to socialize and get distracted. My dad didn't care about the other parents, he just wanted to see me run. I think there was also an element of him making sure I could see him so I knew I had his support. And he showed up at every meet, from what I can remember. That particular part of the cast took me back to those days. Anyway, great episode. I always love the laughter in the background!

Agree with your old school parenting. That’s what I did as a Mom and how I was raised. Kids can’t be coddled or they won’t make it in this world. It’s our job as parents (both Moms & Dads) to raise them not to quit or give up so easily, be a good team player and to push through the hard moments to come out stronger and with thicker skin. Giving in to their crying in sport isn’t helping them build character and perseverance. We can show our kids love and still be strict and have rules and boundaries. You’re parenting style is impressive, Sebastian!😊 You’re kids will benefit from you as a strict Father! Look how great and successful you turned out!

Those things happened so often with our kids I gave it a name 'jack knifing'. He'd be so excited until the actual event and then go .. 'no I don't wanna do it Dad'. It gave you no preparation to recover like in Braveheart and Mel Gibson's telling the army .... wait, wait ... NOW with the speers. It's very hard unless he has close neighbourhood friends that help him see the funny side or just relax enough .. to try things. In hindsight it showed me just how little we knew about parenting. These days parents are doing everything themselves, so its really hard to have all the bases covered emotionally with your kids. From our experience, anxiety meds was a game changer and many others told us the same. It stopped the sudden 0 to a 1000 temper tantrums.

Yeah. I miss jimmy from Boston and dj Lou, Patrick stinks and his voice coming up every time during the cutscene between advertising is annoying + literally hasn’t said 1 funny thing since he’s been here. Dudes been dropping the ball since day 1.

My father would just give us the look, say at church, and it was over. His theory was that you teach your children how you want them to behave. No disrespect tolerated.
