The Perfect Storm - Porthcrawl Landscape Photography with the Canon R5
This video is filmed on Porthcrawl beach in South Wales. Do you love to chase storms to get the perfect seascape images? My drive is Landscape Photography, I just love going to the coast to capture the roar of the storm as it comes inland. I have decided to purchase a new lens for my Canon R5, and that’s the 24-105mm F4 R lens. I can already tell the difference in quality and sharpness and am happy I decided to change my set up, Sadly I only have one lens and one camera body. During this video I wanted to speak the essence of this the seaside and the storm through creative writing, music and videography. I will be posting more of my poetry which is often spoken during my videos. This time I decided to sing the poem called, ‘I See The Sea’. I don’t think this video really does this location justice, I wanted to capture the feeling you get when you gaze upon a stormy sea. Its power is vast, powerful and unstoppable. Capturing these images and filming was a challenge, but that is what it is about. If it were easy then what’s the point? It was a challenge as it was very over crowded, I felt I couldn’t really move with my camera or get my tripod out due to the business and tide coming in. I am however very grateful to come away with some images from this stunning coast photoshoot. If you do decide to head to the coast in the storm, please take care of yourself and other photographers. Rouge waves can take you by surprise and no photo is worth the risk. Apologies for the re-upload, some issues with the video :)

Poem by Suzannah Mary
'I See The Sea'
I see the sea and the sea sees me
I feel the wind and wind feels me
Follow me down to the shore
The tide is on the turn
I see the sea and the sea sees me
I hear the waves and the waves hear me
Follow me down to the rocks
The storm is on the sea
I see the sea and the sea sees me
I feel the waves and the waves feel me
Follow me down to the edge
No barrier for the sea
So watch backs, don’t get close the storm is on the sea
I see the sea and the sea sees me

Lovely video Suzannah, I could almost feel the wind and spray on my face and hear the sea thundering against the sea wall. Beautiful images. Puts me in mind of Flamborough Head when the wind is roaring in from the east and the pounding sea against the chalk cliffs. Kind of makes you feel more alive. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Wow what a beautiful location!!! I had to look it up!!! That's a huge Tourist location! Lots of little camping areas, or cabins there! I know very little about U.K.!!!! If I ever get to visit I will look it up for sure. I bet it is crazy there in the summer!!!!!!!👍👍👍🇺🇲

I loved this video! As one who raced sailboats offshore, I realize the power of the wind and sea. Being unprepared brings tragedy, and to those who are seasoned, victories come. I love the way you used your poem that describes the storm of the sea so wonderfully. The way you sang the poem with the haunting music, brings the reality of the sea and a storm. Well Done. So thankful you did not bring your wonderful child on this one. Hope you do more like this one. Blessings to you and your child. Bob
