Big agree on the name - it will totally be the XT-50! I feel like putting IBIS in the lower end model might kill sales of the bigger XT5 though, I realllyy wonder if Fuji will opt to risk losing those sales. I’m picturing the XT50 having essentially all the same features as the XT-30II but with the 40 megapixel X Trans V processor - no IBIS though. Maybe some updated AF to match that of the XT5. And of course the new Nostalgic Neg film sim!

The X-T50 will have some downgrades compared to the X-T5 like a smaller EVF, screen with less resolution, less fps etc.

I think it might just reduce the sales of the xt5, but if they put so many features in this camera, the xt50 will be almost as expensive.

The quality difference between the 18-55 and the 16-55 was - according to a number of reviews small to invisible. So there is not much space to improve for the new lens. I will keep my old 18-55, even on the X-T5 it is excellent, f4,8 to me is a step back. Not sure why I should spend money for sth with a very small advantage, if any.

I think for most people upgrading wouldn’t make much sense, but for newer people getting into the Fuji x system it could be a good starter just above the 18:55, but let’s see.

Perhaps it will resolve better. Also the motors.

My guess is that would be with a 26mp sensor. Becourse if it was a 40mp, it would be a scoop to call it XT40. So they had to call it Xt50 for the 26mp.

yep, but its most likely going to be the kit lens for all new Fuji Cameras, so also those with WR

If I am not mistaken, both canon and Nikon (or was it Sony?) offer an F2 standard Zoom. And that is full frame, why not for APSc??? That would truly change the Fuji lens landscape, indeed.
