First off, good on you with the Anker sponsor. They’re a great company and have great products. Second, the 16-55mm is the best lens I’ve ever owned. Glad to see it on this list. My 18-55mm just came in and I’m excited to try it out.
The 10-24mm just doesn't get enough love :( That lens is so awesome.

@@pal2tech I was pretty happy to see one of my lenses on your greatest hit list! (16-55 2.8) :D
I only have these three lenses: 23mm 2.0, 35mm 1.4, and 18-55mm “kit” on my X-Pro3. I was really contemplating selling my 18-55mm but after seeing this video, I completely agree with you. I’m no longer selling it. Thanks! Love watching your videos; very informative, engaging, and entertaining. Keep em coming!
Omg! I just absolutely LOVE watching your videos! Thank you 🙏 for sharing your amazing knowledge in a very humorous and easily grasped way! I am new to Fugifilm and I’m obsessed. Your videos are priceless!
Seriously, I think your channel may be my all time favorite in regards to photography. I love your attitude and you’re just a wealth of information. Being new to photography, I have learned a great deal from you in such a short time. I’m grateful for you my friend- God bless you brother🙏🏾
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for your vids, for years I have wanted a fuji camera because of just how awesome the XT line looks, the support and updates, and the reviews, including yours. and recently, I got one. and so far, I really like it. You helped a lot with setting it up with your vids. ( unlike the manual ) lol

I recently bought a used xt-2 and the 18-55mm used as well. I love the combo! I love the prime 23mm f/2.0 as well. Images from both lenses combined with the XT-2 great for document your life and travel. Keep on making your videos. I love your enthusiasm
Totally agree on the 16-55 and 50-140. Its so insane that with just two lenses you can cover such a wide focal range with such high quality. Macro is not for everyone, but the 80mm image quality is really amazing. It is not without fault, but I have taken some of my favorite photos with it. Similarly the 56 f1.2 is a bit quirky (autofocus is a little slow), but I call it my magic lens. Pretty much anything I shoot with it looks professional.
I knew you were going to say the kit lens because I remember how you raved about it on your first review of it. Thanks Chris! Congrats on the sponsorship!
brand new to your channel, just changed to fuji and your videos are fantastic, by far the best fuji ones on you tube, keep them coming and thank you for so much information
Took the 18-135mm and the 16mm to Venice. The 18-135 accounted for 90+% of around 1400 shots. Great travel lens. So much of composition is the decision of what to exclude. The zoom makes it so much easier. And in terms of viewing prints, you'd be hard pressed to care that the 16 was superior.
Your recommendations are always top notch. Thank you for the Anker 11-in-1. I've been looking for one that can help me while I am on the road. Buying that today using your link!
18-55mm is my only lens for anything, I'm so glad that a kit (not kit) lens performs so well! Great selection, have a great weekend!!
My heart frequenly stopped while he puts things on the table :)
Great video, I Love the 90mm also, it was my first lens from the 18-55mm kit. I just recently got the 16-55 second hand and bloody hell it's amazing! I personally don't find it too big or heavy considering the focal range and quality you get from it. 70-300 is also a fun lens for the size, weight, and reach.
Very useful video. I’m relatively new and just building up my fuji kit. I’ve been struggling to pick between buying the 16-55 & 50-14 or just buying a series of primes. Watching this has tipped me towards going to two zooms. Cheers.
Very informative and attractive narration. Thank you pal2tech.
Another great vid, Chris. The 16-55 f2.8 is pretty much welded to my camera. The weight of it was a shock at first, but all concerns melted away with the image quality which is “next level”! This lens is the reason I’ve downsized my lens collection.
Love your channel, you are my go-to about EVERYTHING Fuji! 👊🏼😎
Man ur video are so good I can feel the passion and serious of your speech 🗨 u know your business. I'm so prime lens photographer but I own 50-140mm recently 2nd hand and thinking about getting the 16-55 but quality seems unreal. Special mention for the 90mm f2 my fav lens ever

I appreciate that! Wow, thank you so much!!!! 🙏
As always, great video and very informative and succinct. I have all the Fuji lenses, except for the super expensive 200mm f2 and the wide angle zoom 8-16mm. I agree with your choice. Love all your videos. Thank you.
Hi from NZ- Just wanted to say that I have just (2 weeks ago) purchased my first Fujifilm camera (XT4) and love it. I am new to photography and Pal2tech has been fantastic helping me through a very steep learning curve. From deciding what camera to buy to what the heck bokeh is! Thank you so much! ( I also wonder if you could do a video about using fast and slow burst modes, I can't seem to find much about it at all?)
Just wow! I watched till the end. Most vids about lens etc. are boring, but this is pure entertainment!
Love the video!! I just got an XT4! So this video is very useful. I’ll probably be getting the 18-55mm f/2.8-4 as my first Fuji lens. Until then I’m gonna be using my vintage Takumar 24, and 50. I did some test shots of myself in my apt, and the one thing I noticed while filming is the skin tones and image quality. Also the F-log assist is such a handy tool!
I am relatively new to photography and super pleased to hear your love of the Fuji 18-55 2.8 after I just purchased it with the X-S20. I am travelling soon to Europe and want to travel light with some versality so that's my pick. great video and your energy you bring to them. very helpful.
Completely agree about the 18-55 lens. it's incredible for just being a "kit" lens. As someone who primarily shoots video, the AF and IS are perfect for my needs. great vid!
After more then 10 years with Canon, being both a photographer and a videographer, I fell in love with the X-S10 and made the switch, buying it with the xf18-55mm and it's truly a great lens! A few weeks ago I also bought the Fringer EF-XF adapter and now I can happily use my 50mm, 100mm macro and 10-18mm also on Fujifilm!

The EF-XF adapter is quite something. Had a guy come in the store I'm working at needing a lenscoat for his Canon 600mm f/4. It was mounted on a fujifilm X-T3 with an 2x extender. Insane stuff and it worked really well to my surprise. You made a good decision using the EF-XF to get the most out of the lenses you already owned!
Nice collection! And quite courageous to list the 18-55 as favorite😀. My personal list: 1) 10-24 mm f/4.0 2) 16-55 mm f/2.8 3) 23mm f/1.4 4) 55-200 mm or the 50mm f/2.0; still on the edge over that one…
YOU are the best (and funniest) Fujifilm guy ever. Thank you for your dedication and all the infos 🙏🏻
Just subscribed to your channel, fantastic informative videos - especially the tutorials (3) on learning to use flash. I have the 18-55/90mm and LOVE the 16mm. Super choices I also have the 35mm f2 which i adore and the 27mm pancake. Fuji really does make fantastic lenses!
As a ad that was so clean and honest. Frick. Nicely done, P2Tech.

You are an entertainer if you don’t know that by now. It’s never a boring experience watching your vids. Entertaining, relatable and useful information as always. 🙏🏼
Glad to see the 90mm get some love. It's really fantastic. If it weren't kinda difficult to maneuver with indoors I'd use it all the time.
This is straight, informative and honest. Thank you 🙏
You’re alot more interesting and tolerable when you LOVE what you’re talking about. Great video.
Oh man, those are great lenses! My favorites have become the 8-16, 16-55, 50-140, and the 100-400. I'm primarily a landscape photographer though.. I dabble in wildlife and sometimes portraiture though. I really love the 23 f2, and the 56 as well, but I don't use them nearly as often. Love your videos, keep them coming!
Perfect timing! I've been thinking about getting a second lense for my xt4.
Love the 18-55 for travel. Just wish it had some weather "resistance". Great picks. Just used the 16-80 on holiday in the Caribbean. Can't wait to see how it managed.
7:14 2 years later I'm watching this, and it's like you know I'm watching it on a Friday.
I am with your pick on the 50-140mmf2.8 and 18-55mmf2.8-4 lenses. Both are truly awesome. I also have the 16mmf1.4 - another superb lens too. Always enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up and stay safe.
Recently discovered your videos doing some research for the X-T5. Love them all! And I agree almost 100% with your lens selection! Only, I don't own the 90mm, but now I'm tempted. I have the 18-55 on most of the time for walk around and street photography. What a fantastic "kit" lens. 16-55mm for portrait and indoor work. The 56mm f1.2 is also phenomenal in low light. Keep up the great videos. I'm still working my way through them all!

Actually old news now. I recently purchased the 90mm. Fantastic. And so much lighter than the 50-140mm!
Great video on lens variety as I'm a new XT3 owner. Got the 16-80 f4 lens for the all in one elements for my specific needs, but I will be in the market down the road to supplement. The plug at the end was a bit of a turn off as much longer than most sites, but glad I found this channel.
23mm f/1.4 - All Day, Everyday. Almost 7 years strong. Never have I had a 99% lens like it, and I have well over 38 lenses between my cameras.
The 90mm f2.0 is such a beauty! I am totally in love with this lens! Definitely one of the best I have ever used! Produces so clear images. Finally made my switch to fuji and bought a x-t4 this week. 🙌 Joining your club ;) And I could not agree more with you, regarding the "kit lens" 18-55mm. I switched from a Canon 5D mk2 with the kit 24-105mm.... a legendary combination in its time, but I feel like the package of the x-t4 + 18-55mm is a even better package, especially for its price point
Great video, as always. Totally agree with you with the 18-55mm. Until before the pandemic I usually traveled a lot and no matter I'm in the bursting streets of Tokyo, climbing mountains in Sri Lanka, trying to stay calm in frantic India, enjoying Mexico, eating snacks in a Taiwanese night market or watching dolphins in Maldives, I don't like to carry heavy gear and a lot of lenses with me; the lighter, the better. The 18-55mm is the one lens I have in my camera like 90% of the time; it gives me enough quality, it's fast enough, has nice OIS, and it's relatively light and compact. An overall winner for my personal needs.
Of course it depends also on what you like to shoot. I’m over the moon for the new 70-300mm. I’m prioritizing light over light; ie, small over fast. With 5 stops of IBIS in the X-S10, it hasn’t disappointed.
Can't tell you how much I love your videos. I have constrained myself to the 16mm f1.4 as my "do all, be all" prime and the 100-400mm zoom. But it's all subjective because it depends on what you're going for when shooting. I would love to bring all my lenses "just in case", but it's really not always possible. Plus, I'm not at that level to justify bringing what I've got.
SO glad to see your thoughts on this! My new X-S10 with the notorious "kit" 18-55mm is "on the truck for delivery" TODAY! WOO HOO!!! Got this setup for video (have used Canon for photos since my first A-1 in 1976), but thinking this may just be my "go to" now. THANKS, man!
Absolutely love your work. Thanks for sharing. Three or more of my photos that I love, I probably would have missed them if I didn't have a "kit lens", because what was happening with the subject, was so fleeting. They will get my 18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens when they pull it from my cold, dead hands. 😄 Hoping you and yours have a great weekend!
I very much enjoyed it. I’m glad you added the 16mm prime, I just brought my first prime to add to my 18-55, “kit lens”. Now, all I need is infinite time.
Not only the best fujifilm channel but you also got one of the best companies to sponsor the channel.
Another excellent, stimulating video - thanks Chris. My question is how do you keep your lenses looking like new, and how do you recommend to clean the external surfaces of your cameras and lenses?
The 16-80mm F4 on my X-T30 is my favorite for hiking trips. It's somewhat big but not too heavy. Combined with the 70-300mm F5.6, it's the perfect kit for wilderness photography.
Great video Pal, I agree with your list. But my number one lens is the x100v 23mm f2 fixed lens. I can't put this camera down. I take it with me everywhere I go. I would never have thought I would enjoy this camera so much. I bought it locally used for $1100, in perfect condition a few months ago. My xs-10, kit lens, 35mm f2, 23mm f2, 16mm f2.8, is collecting dust. 😆 The x100v camera is a dream. It doesn't make sense why anyone would want a fixed lens, but it's ridiculous how perfect this camera has turned out. Once you get your setting just right, it's so much fun to take beautiful photos. I love having the best of both worlds. That 90 mm f2 would be a dream to shoot with. Keep up the great work, pal! You're my favorite KZread channel.
Nice! Great video👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I enjoyed this video. The 90mm f2 has been on my wish list for quite a while. I bought the XF16-80 lens because I like having the slightly longer reach at 80mm, and it performs pretty well, but I wish I bought the 16-55 instead. It looks sharper than my 16-80. I also appreciate you mentioning the 18-55 kit lens for video.
Your like the Chris fix for cameras. Good and informative video man!
Just bought the 90 a couple weeks ago. I love it.
You should have at least 200k subscribers with the work you put in here. Hoping more and more people discover you.

I was lucky enough to pick up the 16-55 f2.8 on sale for just under $600 brand new. Such an incredible lens!
I’m a huge fan of your channel. Please keep making videos can’t get enough of it. How do you store your lenses? I went online and there are a lot of options. Is there a video you already made on that topic. Thanks in advance 🙂
Great videos and advice, Chris, many thanks for that. You made my life significantly easier and have given the right impulses when making myself familiar with the XT4! One question: You highlighted the 50-140mm as a top lens which I can confirm it definitely is also for me! What is your take on the teleconverters Fuji offers? Tried the 1.4 or 2 out at any point? Thanks!
Hello, you're one of my favourite youtube reviewer about tech. It's a joy watching your videos. Very informational, funny, and engaging at the same time. If I was going to buy one Single lens for fuji camera, where the main focus would have been photography and details what lens would you suggest me to buy? Fujifilm 90mm f2.0, fujifilm 18mm f1.4, or fujifilm 16-55mm f 2.8?
thank you, I alway enjoy the video you shared. From Taiwan
I have the 18-55 kit lens that came with my X-S10 and I find it's a very good lens, recently I've purchased the new 70-300 which I must say is a pretty amazing lens especially for the price, now I'm looking to possibly purchase the 50mm f/2 for my first prime.
Just bought the 16-55 lens, and I think I just fall in love. It's heavy, but have been really "missing" a good zoom lens! Thank You!!
I shot heavy F2.8 zooms on my Nikon system, and switching to Fuji just have not felt the need to upgrade from the 18 to 55. It is a great lens in a tiny, portable user-friendly package. For portraits, I love the 56, 1.2. Beautiful bokeh & rendering!
Best teacher ever 👌🏽!!
That's a very informative video. Thqbk you
I enjoyed watching your videos, your enthusiasm is inspirational. How do you think the new the XH-2 s will handle these favorite lenses? I heard about lenses not being able to resolve images of the more modern cameras?
Great video! Great lenses! Enough can’t be said about that kit lens! The anker hubs are great I use them but I think they need to get a better handle on heat. Mine gets so hot!!! And I replaced it and it’s still hot. But it’s working so no complaints on functionality
Thanks for the video!!!👍
This is a great video, thank you! Perhaps you will share how you shoot with old lenses like Helios, or Pancolar with M42 thread

the 90 is one of my favorites!
I bought the 90mm f2 a while ago, but never got around to using it because I was shooting so many portraits indoors and didn't have the space to work with. But when I shot some outdoors portraits with it, I didn't want to put it down. The quality is amazing and the focus speed is ridiculous. I don't think the 50mm f2 gets the love that it deserves: for the size, cost, quality, and focus speed, it is hard to beat. No matter what I am shooting or how light I am trying to make my gear bag, the 50mm f2 is always included. In fact, all of the f2 lenses are amazing in my opinion - they are so compact, I can get lots of them into my sling bag and not have to compromise on variety. I only have three lenses on my Fuji Lens Mt. Rushmore: 90mm f2, 50mm f2, and the 18-55 'kit lens', but there is a battle royale for that fourth spot between the 35mm f2, the 23mm f2, and the 16-80 f4.
Love these videos. I'm still just alternating between my 56mm f1.2 and my 14mm f2.8, so my REAL lens needs are never fulfilled (because I need something in the middle!) Keeps me very interested in lens solutions!
Great review sir.
Hi mate, thanks for the great videos. If I may ask for your advice, do you recommend the 50-140 for portraits? And how about 16-55 as an all rounder? Also keen to know your thoughts on the 50f1, keep up the good work!
Your reviews of Fujifilms excites me more as I am currently waiting for my XT3! I wanted to get the XT4 but I don't like its flipping screen and its too expensive!😅
Thanks. Great video 👍👏😎🙏… as always. Much appreciated

The 90mm f2 was the first Lens I got for my Fuji x-t4, and is by far my favorite lens. The second one I got was the 23 1.4, and I really love the results it produces. The next one I will surely buy will either be 50-140 or 100-400, if Fuji doesn’t come out with 33mm f1.4 with wr lm:)).
As a videographer who travels a lot, I have the 18-55 Kit Lens for run & gun, the 55-200mm for reach and the 50mm f2 WR for interviews & portraits. For the Kit lens and the 50mm f2, I use vari-ND's. For cityscapes I just go out with the Kit Lens and a VariPol filter screwed on. I see Fuji Lenses are all great.
Thank you for your videos, i am Watching them to learn how to use my xt3, i spent a lot on the 16mm , i hope you can share some tips on using that lens effectively. Thanks again and cheers
Superb !!! Subscribed
lol I just sold my 35mm f2 a couple days ago, it feels like 99% of my photos can be taken with the 18-55mm. Maybe it's because im a newbie idk lol. I learnt a lot from your videos! Please keep them coming! I saw you said in a previous video that you wanted to be a full-time photography KZreadr, idk what your exact plan is but I hope your dream can come true by the end of this year.
Can’t wait to see your thoughts on the new prime f1.4 18mm by Fujifilm!
completely agree, excellent quality, non comparable versatility
Now I kinda want the 16-55! And yeah, I agree about the 90 f2! Its SO good! I love it!
Great video and nice that you got support from Anker, they got great stuff. Was a bit surprised not to see the 16 mm until the end, but agree on versatility. Must checkout the 90 mm, I have the 85 viltorx which is one of my favourites. My top list is a mix of versatility and image quality. 1) 70-300 (w/wo 1.4 tc)amazingly convenient zoom to bring with great image quality, close focus 2) 16 mm1.4, the best period..little curious on the new 18 mm though 3) 35 f2 makes my xt3 small and convenient 4) 18-55 what you said. I could probably sell the rest of my fuji x-lenses……
Very new to the X Series platform with an X-T4, 56mm F1.2, 35mm 1.4 and 28mm 1.4. Was tempted by the 50-140mm f2.8 and 16-55mm f2.8, but prefer primes. Even though I’ve only had the 18mm for a few days it feels like a bonkers good lens. Street shooters and documentary photographers will likely love it. Super sharp wide open, fast AF, weather sealed, nice balance on the camera. And thank you for the videos, very useful for getting me up to speed with the new kit.
I owned 50-140mm , 16mm1.4 and 18-55 and i love it. ❤️❤️❤️ Planning to have the 16-55mm hopefully soon 🙏
..doesn't just create works of art, it IS a work of art - fantastic line
Great video. I have 18-55 and 90 mm lenses for my X-T3. I thought of buying 16-55 but have not been able to convince myself as 18-55 is damn good. Not sure what more I would achieve with this lens for landscape photography. What are your thoughts on this?
Hi! Mr. Pal, I must thank you because the amount of information I learn from your videos is far more than what I learnt from my college. Lol. If you can please suggest me about what lens should I get? I already own the 18-55 kit lens and I want to shoot outdoor cinematic videos (mainly automobiles, architecture, landscapes and some portraits too). Thank you very much.
Right up there with the 90 is the 50mm f2. Flare control and sharpness are incredible. The “kit lens “ is fantastic. Travelling the streets of Japan my most used lens was a Samyang 12mm f2
Bonjour Chris ! Congrats on the anker sponsor! If you could chose only two lenses, what would be your pick in addition to the 18-55mm?
That 90mm F/2 looks a kick-ass lens! I got the 18-55mm f2.8-4 with my X-S10 and it is very good.
como siempre, un super contenido, gracias por compartir 😊😊😊😊😊
