@@ExarKun0 my man the whole city flooded. Who knows what else he feels he needs to attend to. And besides, its clearly a Katrina like situation where a lot of the place is basically a dystopia for the moment. Plenty of things can easily go unnoticed as well. They kind of make a point at the end of the movie suggesting that this is the perfect scenario for less reputable types to make certain moves. Either way, we can't keep going on about "well where was the superhero when this was all happening?" and just let things be sometimes for the sake of the story. Why doesn't Superman just come in and easily mop up every villain every other hero has to deal with?

@@JoshcoshbagoshYeah, you know nothing about Batman it seems. Look, Batman isn't a search and rescue guy. He's a vigilante, a crime fighter, a detective, the avenger of the night. He's not Superman or Flash. GCPD deals with the daylight stuff, major crime only happens at night time in Gotham City. There are search and rescue teams, GCPD and medical teams can help the flood victims, not a guy dressed in a Bat costume. I know at the end of the movie he was helping people in DAYLIGHT, which was a total character assasination and I don't consider that part cannon. I agree with the part "well where was the superhero when this was all happening?", each hero has his own city to protect and villians to fight. BUT - This is The Penguin. One of the arch enemies of Batman. He's not some random thug. This Gotham has no crime besides low life thugs and organized crime. Organized Crime meaning The Mafia and the corrupt cops. CATCHING THE PENGUIN AND GETTING RID OF THE MAFIA IS THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF EARLY YEARS OF BATMAN. Supercriminal Freaks of Arkham and the League of Assassins/Court Of Owls hasn't shown up yet! BATMAN'S MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO FIGHT CRIMINALS AND LOCK THEM UP, NOT HELP NATURAL DISASTER VICTIMS. Penguin should be on top of the list. Period.

He is a HERO not just a vengeance seeking vigilante. Thats like the whole damn point of the movie. Besides, nobody is saying he is going to be doing that on a regular basis now. This was an extreme situation and a turning point for him that he felt partially responsible for

The dark visuals, the dialogue... I can't wait to watch this and forget it's Colin Farrell playing The Penguin all over again. September could not come any sooner.

I remember the first time I saw The Batman trailer. I still couldn't believe that Colin Farrell was The Penguin, he was so unrecognizable. The makeup crew did a perfect job. Even casting him for the role, he did great. Can't wait to see how his story goes until the 2nd Batman Film.

They really aren't giving anything away in terms of an appearance from Robert Patterson's Batman and I'm so grateful for that. And yes he is apparently going to be in it.

Colin looks like he’s having a blast. God please be good.

Given how uniquely they’ve portrayed mob bosses such as Carmine and other psychological threats like Riddler, makes me more excited to see how they’ll portray rogues such as Black Mask and Hugo Strange in the Reevesverse. As well as others rogues like Freeze and Ras Al Ghul. I’ll be watching more of Matt Reeves has planned.👍🏽

I didn’t know it was Colin Farrell the first time I watched The Batman. The makeup is tremendous, but now I can’t unhear his voice despite the face. Show looks great for sure, been a long time since having a good Batman world.

Colin Farrell is about to get Emmy nominated for the Penguin and Sugar. The man is spectacular.

This is one of the best makeups I've ever seen. Usually you can tell it's this or that actor even with the make-up, but here, If I didn't know it's Farrel I would have never guessed it.

They finally created a proper modern penguin.

Nah I have the faith the bat will show up towards the end when the heat reaches its max even if it’s just for a couple of scenes

was shot in NYC, a lot of the exteriors were shot in Ridgewood, Queens

I really hate "Batman Universe" shows and movies without "THE BATMAN" but I must say I am pretty friggin excited to see THIS show!!!!! Colin Farrell is insane as the Penguin and I think after the first run of this series we will be comparing his take on the Penguin to Heath Ledger's take on the Joker!!! Yeah that's right I said it!!!!
