Designed by me with a zero thickness leading edge amd 3D printed to minimize height. Those extreme angles turn the V3 into super fun pumping setup. However it’s only possible on a top mount. With the angles built into the baseplate I can throw a set into a drop or drop their deck!

    Why bro? Theres absolutely no difference to the v2 150mm in terms of geometry and riding feel. The whole update of the v3s is just more durability and same ride hight of baseplates. Aswell as higher quality bushing parts, which you gonna swap anyways lol...

    @@s.sumertas9206 hello, I have both V2 and V3 180 50°, the base plate of the V3 is 3mm lower than V2 !! I think they reduce the height of the 50 baseplate and increase the height of the 43 base plate to match the same ride height. so if your setup need's some pads to avoid weelbite you should probably add one pad with the V3

    I have a desire to run split widths. should I be narrower in front for maneuvering. making the back (wider) naturally schlubbier, and more stable? or opposites and drift better, hook up cleaner... this sounds like a video (:

  • @ParisTruckCo

    Generally, we wouldn't recommend split width setups, rather opting for split degree setups. Having a 50° truck in the front will be lively and responsive while putting a 43° truck in the rear will provide stability.

    The V3 150s would fit well on that board but since it has such a short wheelbase it could feel very divey and turny with RKP longboard trucks. But if you don't like the feel of the current TKP street trucks it comes stock with, the 150s could be a fun option! 👍

    It should be, as they didnt change anything in terms of pivot cup/pivot pin. The whole truck has the same geometry as the v2. Its just more durable due to stronger design thats basically it. It also weighs a little more due to the stronger barrel around the axles and wider shoulders. Which he didnt mention here ;)

  • @s.sumertas9206

    150mm would be more idea for rail matching. But for stability wider hangers are usually more stable, so 180mm would be the way to go for stability. But stability comes with skill, so you should focus more on putting weight on your front truck (i know its hard on an esk8 since it pushes u back when u accelerate). You can also use Harder bushings in the back or double barrel bushings on both Trucks (Riptide/venom) or a 43° baseplate in the back for a little more stability. But dont use anything else than 50° in front if you want the turny feeling.

    Will the orangutan nipple bushings fit these trucks?

  • @s.sumertas9206

    @s.sumertas9206

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes, the geometry and pivot hole/pivot pin aswell as bushing seat is completely the same. The truck basically just got a stronger design by widening the shoulders of the hanger and the barrel around the axle aswell as the support beam of the baseplate. But the whole geometry (except for the 43° plate ride hight) is the same. In other words, if you take a v2 and swap for a v3 and keep the same bushings and pivot cup etc. You will not feel any difference in riding Performance. In durability you may do, due to the Changes they Made. But also in weight. Wider shoulders and thicker barrels around the axles also mean more weight because theres more material.

    You guys didnt tell us that with the wider shoulders and thicker barrels around the hanger, the weight of the truck also increases. More material may make it more durable but also heavier. I mostly got bending in the axles never really on the hanger.
