Surprisingly, my Randal R2's are my first set of trucks since 2011, and they still work well even today (after affixing the kingpin in the baseplate with epoxy).

@cosoicosa it will say if they are an 852, 840, 1052, or 1040. the first number determines how big axel is with. 852 has a 8mm axel. -Nick

Thanks for finding that typo on the single speed...it's 41" long. We can do custom layups on any of the boards. 7 Ply Bamboo on the Cosmonaut is extremely light and has great flex. If you are looking for a light weight freeriding board that would be my recommendation.

Bears for me have always had a problem with the bushing seat. Whenever I put new bushings on my bears I have to sand the bushing 1 to 2 mm.....very sad. If you like bears buy a pair of 180mm randals. flip-able hanger, I believe 42 or 50, which ever you like, and good bushing seats unlike the bears

@Goldballs5 That is correct but in my opinion just because the well like bushing seat is only existant on the road side, when it is flipped, the truck feels dead.

when you flip the hangar it changes the bushing seat, thus making it more restricted / less restrcted, NOT changing the angle.

depends on what u are doing for down hill i use my bear because the bushing seat is more deep and cups the bushing so for me its less twitchy for freeride i think they are both fine they have a lot of turn the paris: more carve oriented trucks with a less defined bushing seat but i like it for free ride more yes i do own both these trucks and i have done almost everything on them just i would personnally choose the bears bear > paris :dh bear bear = paris :quality up to you

@chancerbob95 No, the geometry does not line up. For some reason bear makes their trucks incompatible with others. However, randals, bears, and bucks are all interchangeable. -Nick

  • @DCxSkateboarding

it does change the angle because the flipped side has a deeper bushing seat, thus lowering the angle by a few degrees.

Stumbled across your video and just wanted to say you could make your life easier in these videos by putting a cloth of some kind down on that glass. It would reduce noise so you dont have to go easy setting them down and it would pad the glass some.

Bears are good, but they tried too hard to be accurate with the bushing seat. Their casting mold is way messed up sometimes and your bushing wont fit, literally wont fit. gotta sand your bushing down. Bears are fantastic except for that major flaw....If anyone is interested in bears check out randal 180mm trucks, same thing but better bushing seat.

So the "8" in Bear's 852 Grizzly RKP trucks stands for its use with 8-mm bearings? Dude I've watched dozens of vids on Bear trucks and not even Bear's own vids mentioned the origin of the name; fascinating

@ikbenoverig theyre all the same. They all pretty much perform the same, but I would get bucks or bears because theyre higher quality and bears are made in the USA. when its all said and done, the trucks don't matter as much as the bushings do unless you're doing crazy downhill. use whatever trucks you want for freestyle, preferably bears because they're pretty light and have good stock bushings for freestyle

I hate my Bear trucks. Endless issues with squeaking on the pivot cups, despite the mentioned lube, and the deep bushing seat is a nightmare. Won't fit Khiro bushings. They look great, but other than that not a fan. Others seem to love them though. I've had NO issues with my Paris trucks and they feel so much smoother! Go with Paris!

However, i cant get the back rotation possibly becuase of my bushings/trucks and their rebound. All suggestions are welcome and helpful
