@@meganjones1535 While very likely, but unless your population is absolutely tiny, people will call... a bunch of them... and it doesn't take more than like a 100 simultaneous calls to put everyone else on hold. And I don't think New Zealand is THAT small.

It might be an automated message. It might be that they have a system where, if there is a power cut, they will automatically say "We don't know how long it will last", until they have figured it out and can inform how long it lasts.

Yes but it would be great if it was happening just in the Store and then at the end of the series they walk just walk out of the store and see nothing changes. But customers would come and become… Or as you say, any series like this would be great.

I think being stranded in the store during the first part of the pandemic has given Rowan PTSD.

I'd didn't surprise me that Rowan had a doomsday kit. But what did surprise me is the fact the he kept it right under the front desk instead of in his own office. Lol

I’m begging for a post apo series. Not based on a game, just playtech staff surviving with your usual type of jokes. The potential is huge ! Just imagine, if at the end it wasn’t just a regular power cut, we could have had episodes of the staff travelling around, meeting iconic VLDL characters such as Ben or the terrible Karen. And the guy’s experiment in videogames is kinda helping them to survive. Omg I need this. Plus i think it wouldn’t be to difficult to make. Seeing how the quality of the skits have grown, with a few leaves and bushes in buildings and the right lightning, they could make a pretty good looking post apo world ! (Of course keep doing the bored series, just make it an alternate timeline where it’s the apocalypse).

That awkward moment when everyone's secretly praying the power stays off long enough to head home, but no one wants to say it. 😏

At my previous job the power got knocked out and a large window got blown in from straight line winds and it was still hours of just sitting around before they decided we should call it a day. Left like maybe an hour early. It was funny seeing my boss (the owner) crack open a beer, take a swig, realize that he probably shouldn't drink "on the clock" and send us home.

Just a fun fact: In Russian, the phrase "end of the world" and "end of light" are written and pronounced the same way. "Конец света". (However, almost no one talks about a power outage - "Конец света", well, only if he's joking). But if someone translates the sketch into Russian, it will turn out to be a funny puns.

The way Alan, Ellie and Adam were calm during the power outage is basically every South African during load shedding.

I love this so much! Rowan panicking alone was great, but when everyone lost it with the internet being down it got even more awesome. Love how quickly everyone, except Adam, settled on cannibalism. Rowan hissing at the end credit bit was especially amusing and he makes pretty convincing cat noises. Side note: for about 24 hours or so my town and surrounding area lost both Verizon and Spectrum at the same time for about the same length of time. We still had power, but no internet, no cell service, my mom didn't have cable (heaven forbid she go without the cable), or anything like that. I did catch up on some books and broke out my DS Lite for some gaming as well. But yeah, the no internet at all was not too fun.

Try 5 days for both power and internet and that was my May. In 2018 was the same thing for three days because of a Tornado. Needless to say I now have a generator :)

@@Mr2greys Ouch. That sucks. Ah, tornadoes. We don't get many in my state compared to others, but I have family in the upper Midwest and I've seen some impressive wall clouds when visiting up there. Very good idea to have a generator. My dad got one a few years ago for us. My area of the state can see nasty ice storms in winter so that's more what we have it for.

That's great managerial skill there, when things are looking bleak Rowan has a team bonding session including having Adam over for dinner.

Best one in a while. Great job!

A good, deep, wholesome laugh was what I needed. Always coming in for the win guys, top notch.

Rowan is basically how kids acts when theres a power outage.

This quickly became one of my favorite episodes they've ever uploaded. I was hoping the power would stay out and that this post apocalypse world inside of Playtech would become a regular series that showed the progression of them losing their sanity. Oh well 🙂

Would have been an amazing series!

When I worked for an IT vendor few years ago, the power went off in the entire district. So rather than letting us go and work from home (we’re IT people, after all, all we need is laptops and internet), the management had us stay at the office and play games on mobiles/ have chat with each other/play tennis/kill our time for few hours… such a waste of time! 🤯 that we had to catch up on later 😔

I was hoping this would be a series. This should totally be a series. The power is out and you go through a bunch of scenarios around that like the gold or black manager shirt series!

That immediate cut really got me, great work! 💜

Ironically, the least plausible part of this video is how quickly Adam got through to Vector to ask about the power cut.

Yeah in South Africa the power goes out everyday for like 8 hours total, we even have a word call load shedding.

Rowan will always be Rowan, tells everyone to "stay calm" and be the first one to go super panic mode!

I would love to see a series on this!

VLDL should have way more subs.. I don't even play the games they do and I love their stuff.. and their DND channel got me hooked and I started playing online.. love these guys

Adam got so much info from that call to the power company without having to give any details at all. Wish my energy supplier was that efficient.

Must have been the first option in the phone tree. "Press 1 for outage status" Followed by a pre-recorded message. No way he got a live human.

I laugh at this. I live in South Africa, we have daily regular power cuts up to 8 hrs a day depending on your area. The minimum is 2 1/2 hrs. We are why pass this 😂

Here in South-Africa they have something called "Loadshedding", Which means they will turn off the power for 2:30hours, 1-4 times a day depending on how much electricity they need to save.

Actually whenever the power goes out the first thing I check is that all portable electronics still work. If they don't, that means an emp. That's when the SHTF. And the scary thing is that it doesn't even have to be a nuclear attack (although that might be the worst case), our own sun could do this to us, and has done before.

I just came back from a business trip in Ivory Coast, and the power at the office was going up and down, even when there was a generator.

Wow! Just a little over a year ago they were gunning to reach a million subscribers? And now they've 6 million!! Keep it up!
