@M1K3 9059 Problem is second-hand marked quite expensive as well. If you need GPU now you have to get something. Till recently I had GTX 750ti 2GB. I built a new PC but stick the old GPU I had in the drawer. I was looking at 3080/3090 used but the prices were high. Some cards were with rusty back plates. Probably from mining rigs inside damp warehouses. I just get 4070ti brand new for MSRP instead.

Hey, think you might try revisiting this with the Alphacool Apex metal fans when they drop? The way this card is designed, you can replace those noctua fans manually and have it operate the same with any others. I bought this card specifically to do that as a little pet project.
hi mate. do u have a video on how to undevolt a 13700k or 13900k? i know there is a manual way to do it by going inside the bios. but is there a utility that it can do automatically? is Asus AI tweaker or Intel XTU can do automatic undervolting? i prefer to set it and forget. thanks heaps. cheers.
Is it just for graphics work with this video card?. If I want to play games, is this graphics card better or the 4080?
I loved my 3070 Noctua edition and couldn't resist upgrading to this one.
I appreciate them using the regular noctua fans. with the normal connectors... so you could actually replace stuff yourself. you could even use noctua industrial fans. but since temps are so low already, it probably makes no sense.
This is a great review because I am planning to build a mITX system using this exact video card "ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua OC Edition 16GB GDDR6X" and the "Chieftec Mesh CI-02B" case using just Noctua cooling fans.

Almost all 4080 series cards have such overengineered coolers that you can manually lower fan speeds and have them as silent as the Asus Noctua edition 4080. RTX4080 has only 320w TDP the same power as 3070ti with a much weaker cooler.

I don't even need to manually lower fan speeds on my 4080 MSI Gaming X Trio. It's already completely silent even on the OC BIOS. Nope. Pretty much every other 4080 model can achieve about the same cooling efficiency and noise level since GPU coolers are oversized this generation. Sadly Tech Notice didn't compare noise levels in this video but if he had it would have been similar, as can be observed in other reviews. Basically, the Noctua GPU exists just for the alternative aesthetics.

First off, what power supply do you have? When you actually install your drivers, the screen will flicker. Otherwise, it sounds like you need to reset the gpu, ensure the cables are on tight with no strain on them, and monitor temps and fan speeds idle and load using GPU-Z, as well as downloading the latest drivers and restarting your pc. These fans are silent up to about 33%, under optimal conditions. That is, not squeesed into a heatsink like in this case. That equates to about 800rpm. As long as you do not run a lot of them. If you run a lot of them, say 12 in a 1440 rad, you will start to hear them at about 300-350rpm. Also, at their low rate, they are no better than an arctic P12. In the silent range, that is below 900rpm or whatever, they perform rughly the same. The Noctua fans also have resonanse issues, at about 1400-1500rpm. If you simply duct the GPU, you will get results in about the same ball park as this card, or better, both for performance and noice. Depending on the heatsink, it is actually fairly easy to beat this at noise, if you got a 3D printer and the skills.
