The Overland Rav4 Got Some Lights | Auxbeam Install & Review
Ойын-сауық
Auxbeam may have the best budget off-road lights on the market. In this video I cover how I installed their lights and 6-gang controller on a 2021 Hybrid Rav4 including how they've been holding up compared to my overland Tacoma. Links below!

Actually that's my first time to see our product on a RAV4... Usually they are on truck or Jeep or SXS but nice to know now the RAV4 are capable for off roading

Still a lot planned for this Rav, actually have taken it on a few sketchy jeep trails too. So far so good!

Rav4 offroads better than cars that are made for offroading. Especially the gen 1 rav4.
Thanks for the video, very instructive, greetings from Mexico! 👋
Awesome!
Looks great! Have you had any issues overloading the fuse? I’m not too familiar with wiring modifications and I also have the hybrid version. I’m planning on adding a light bar, raptor lights and ditch lights so I’m worried about overloading the single point with the auxbeam switch.

If you're referring to the add-a-fuse thats not an issue. Thats just powering the leds of the controller. The actual heavy draw is coming from the much larger red positive lead that connects to the battery. So overloading the fuse will never be an issue. If you're referring to the swappable fuses that are actually in the AuxBeam box, those can be changed out to any amperage depending on what you plan to install.
Have you had any issues with power to the light bar ? I connected my auxbeam switch panel the same way you did and my spot beam pattern only turns on at low speeds. After 30mph the beam fades away and only the flood stays on.
Which usb connection did you use for the add a fuse?
How did you delete the drl?
Looks nice. Is the color of the Rav4 lunar Rock?

@@PacificRoamer what is the width of that light bar? 24 inches?
Where did get the ditch light bracket
The spot pod lights tend to brigten up your hood! So, my concern is whether the glare from the hood cause eye strain to you or not ?

I haven't had any strain issues when using those lights. If there was a light bar mounted to the roof there definitely would be! I personally never use my roof lightbar on my Tacoma as it really illuminates the hood and any kicked up dust making it difficult to see.
Crimp on are safer. The ones you like can cause fire.
👍👍👍
The Rav has a grill shutter system that you completely blocked.

I was wondering about the location of the grill shutter system. I wonder if he’s had any airflow issues yet?
To bad the spot lights don't have away to adjust like a side mirror.
