I must admit, i always enjoy spotting the same clothes and other items in different movies and shows. Also it's economical ;)

My god, the moment when they talk about how they didn’t get caught for drinking/hung over is so god damn real. I have seen this irl where Troops/Squadrons are having a social event during work hours and then a higher up suddenly tips up and we have to suddenly act professional despite being 4-5 drinks in.

And as is revealed later, Admiral Halsey knew that both of them were drunk... BOSS! Don't know where I would start, but on the way would be Sean's Bar in Dublin, which has been an operating establishment since 900 AD.

No, not really. There likely should have been more ceremony, likely skipped because it wouldn't add anything to the story, but the Admiral would have rated "ATTENTION ON DECK", save for the presence of the President and his higher precedence (not rank!). There probably should have been a "permission to come aboard?", though. Of course, that's based on current human protocols, which might have been modified in a few hundred years to better fit a multi-species interstellar Union.

Just to cover bases for those who might not know... Under the costume & make-up, Union President Alcazar is played by *_Bruce Boxleitner_* (Tron [1982 & 2010 films], Captain John Sheridan [Babylon 5 (1994-1998) space opera TV series)]). Thanks for uploading this, *Jonathan Myers.* :)

President Sheridan I presume?! LOL between Seth's very familiar "Million ways to die in the West" outfit to the B5 veteran actor. Whew. Good mustache callback and... I haven't been keeping up with the show much since the Malon attack season but I'm curious whether this is the first B5 actor to show up on this show. We know about Star Trek alum.

There's sadly not a ton of them left. Vir, G'Kar and Garibaldi are all gone. So I think he's the first of the suriving B5 cast members but that's a very small crowd anymore. I love the fact that the Orville is a draw for anyone who loved working in scifi TV in the past. Would absolutely not be surprised to see Mark Hamill put in a cameo. Or Avery Brooks, or even Sir Pat if his series ends first. I think Dolly Parton's cameo is really going to increase the show's casting options for mainstream personalities too.

In my honest opinion, this scene makes the episode all the more tragic. They were so happy. They were on the verge of making peace with the Krill, and Teleya had to ruin everything. Also, why would the Chancellor invite the Union delegation to Krill on the same night as the election?!

It's that calm, gravely nature that makes it seem like he's been a lot of places and seen a lot of things.

While a Pub Crawl through history would be interesting. I was wondering about the 'Water Wars' bit. I have to say its a horrible parking job to place their fighter craft right in the middle of the opening of the landing bay.

How can you look at Jake Sisko's shirt and say there's been no cultural advancement? In all seriousness. Your explanations are either going to be some dystopian or dystopian adjacent cultural stagnation, or some foolhardy declaration that culture hasn't changed in 300 years because we nailed it and it didn't need to change at all despite the introduction of new technologies and our exposure to vastly different cultures and points of view. The first possibility would probably be a very interesting, and very different, TV show. And the second is unbelievably optimistic and kind of a dead end from a story perspective.

I liked Bortus's mustache. He should have kept it.

Changed the Shuttles - I liked the configuration of the previous ones. The smaller one is a Scout/Fighter craft. Oh well, I guess that the older ones are used for Starbases and outer colonies.

*@Stevonnie Wolf ~* You mean Victor Garber (Fleet Admiral Thomas Halsey)? Garber has literally been with The Orville series since the pilot episode [ORV 1x01 - "Old Wounds"]. I was a bit disappointed that the semi-familial relationship between Commander Kelly Grayson (Adrianne Palicki) and Admiral Halsey was not delved into a bit more (Halsey was best friends with Grayson's father, essentially Kelly's "uncle".).

I would have to actually drink for it to happen. But for the sake of hypotheticals. I would start in southern Africa around 20,000 BCE and still be going today. I mean, history is still happening, right? Edit: Technically that wouldn't start as a Pub anything. No pubs. I suppose you would have to find out when and where the first pub was. Start there. (And THAT is an argument I am NOT going to start.)
