I LOVE this fight. I love all of their fights. You can see passion in a love scene any time but the real intensity comes out when they're arguing.

Seriously this scene had me giggling. Yes I know they are arguing but it seem as if they are husband and wife and the husband is just being paranoid. Yes they argue but lets face it people these two are very strong will, unreasonable, headstrong, passionate and the list goes on about each other. If Olivia has feelings for Jake I do not believe it could ever be enough to rock the Olitz boat. These two are like an unstoppable train wreck

Olivia needs Jake as a beard. If she is gonna be with Fitz it can't come out that she's his mistress publicly. Even though they love each other, to the world and to their professions they are having an affair and its wrong. She do have feelings for Jake but it's because he has saved her life a couple of times. She don't love him as much as he love her. Jake was sent by her father to destroy Olitz but he didn't succeed the time around but he's there to continue on his mission. Olivia is using that to her advantage.

cjJohnson.....Olivia tells Fitz not to touch her because she's upset. However, the episode is called "We don't touch the First Ladies". Since, Olivia is his FL in his mind and she acts more like FLOTUS with Fitz than Mellie does, then her "don't touch me" comment is symbolic. There's lots of symbolism written into Scandal episodes.

This situation isn't going to end well. I think we all can see that and feel that. But I would not under any circumstances send her running into the arms of the snake, no way. I'm just not over how SR wrote Mellie's backstory because from what I understand the Grant ' s marriage was all but an arranged one. I can't take the fact that Fitz ' s son could actually be his half brother. WTH soapy and I can't take this show seriously. I would have liked to see how Olitz journey to Vermont came about only President to get a divorce etc.

It's how they fight inside but once they come out of that room, its business as usual. This is so unreal. Very stainless move❤

I just think it's stupid that Olivia picked Jake, of all people. I mean, when her father was Command, he had a fake name...fake job, total alias. He wasn't seen in public very often. Yet Jake can take strolls in the park with Olivia even with his highly classified position? And why did Olivia pick Jake in the first place? She had to have known it would cause tension between her and Fitz, is it some pay back for making him Command? She could have picked Harrison or Huck or any body. I understand she had to do this for her, I do, but she just isn't making sense in other areas. The writers are completely changing her characterization. She didn't mind sleeping with Fitz when she thought he was still responsible for killing her mother, but now suddenly she's embarrassed and can't face herself in the morning? As for Fitz...they are completely vilifying him in practically every scene. Here we have him telling Liv to shut up and referring to her as a 'hen', trying to make more promises for her, then they show him screaming at Mellie even though he wasn't aware of the assault between her and his father, then later him being cold to Mellie and an immediate flashback to her and Andrew. Practically every scene in this episode made Fitz look bad. I'm tired of it. The writers are just breaking down everything we've loved about Olitz and making them into two completely different people. Seems as if they're setting up Mellie to leave Fitz, Olivia to leave Fitz, and then he's left all alone. Plus he can't even trust anyone--now, not even Tom! -.-

Also compare these scenes to older Olitz scenes... 2x08 - Liv: "My whole life is you...I can't breathe because I'm waiting for you.." 3x12: Liv: "This is not about you...My whole life is not about you." 2x20(?): "If you want me, EARN ME" 3x12: "You can't win me" I understand where she's getting at and the differences in both contexts but still, at the root, it's a huge grey area. Last thing I disliked was: "And oh, once I fixed the presidential election and I'd like a chance to right that wrong." Just look at the way she looks at Fitz when delivering that line, as if she blames him or it's his fault she did that. It's so annoying. Don't get me wrong, I love Liv...just hate the holes and back and forth in her characterization that the writers are doing to her.

They have lost some of their appeal as well. It's like the writers are taking the things we liked about the show and throwing it in the can.

***** I will always love and root for Fitz too, no matter what. Which is why it hurts to see how much the writers are going to different extents just to make him look bad to the regular audience. It's giving FitzHaters more ammunition and it's annoying. It's like they're making a joke out of him, now even Tom betrayed him...so he has basically nobody he could trust on his side. No matter what, I'll always root for Fitz. At least some of us can still see through all the BS :)

I'm #TeamOlitz, so I didn't care for this scene even tho they jus got thru having sex. SR, I don't like the back and forth with their relationship. I knew Jake was going to cause confusion. It's one thing to know that Olivia is sleeping with Jake but he's standing outside their hotel room so it's like she's throwing it in his face. He also knows that Jake loves Olivia so he would try to fight for Olivia like Fitz said. Jake isn't some random dude Olivia got off the street and have casual sex with. Jake is a so called friend of Fitz who was brought in to specifically come between Fitz and Olivia. Besides Fitz doesn't like to share.

Still the best arguing nd screaming nd maybe a little bit jelous to jake , then sweetness after nd he still follows liv's advise both leaving the room with the pres.guards

It's obvious that Olivia and Fitz set this fight up! They knew very well that Jake was out there, as was SS... they need to make it seem like their relationship is on the rocks.BOTH of them are using Jake... Fitz is using him as B613 head and Liv is using him as her 'boyfriend'. Tom is also in the whole game with Olitz...he will make Jake think that he (Tom) is betraying the President... oh I can' wait to see it all unfold. We will get flashbacks of when they planned this whole thing. Even that whole Oval office 'do you have feelings for Jake' thing was a stunt... Of course there will be some OLAKE moments BUT- BUT, my guess is that Jake will be no more by end of season 3. He serves no other purpose once his 'Fake boyfriend of Olivia Pope' is removed....

It's a set up Gladiators. Fitz wanted Jake to hear that conversation that is why he came out and looked at him twice. Tom is not a trader don't believe the hype! Tom is still working for Fitz ladies and gents. Like I tell you every week. All Roads Leads to Fitz and he is playing this game of chess well! I know you tired of hearing it but it's true...LOL! Tom met with Fitz before he went and delivered the footage of him and Liv. Jake has NO POWER. Fitz is making him think he does because he knows Jake will go to the dark side and betray him because he wants Liv. He said it in this scene "he is compromised, he has a reason to be disloyal to me he wants you!" I agree Liv needs to get it together but that's Shonda fought for writing bad monologues for Kerry. #TeamFitz

I hope you all are right about Fitz knowing. Thus far I am reading that Jake is the man and I am trying to figure out how people think Jake is playing Fitz. He took Rowan down and he can do the same for Jake IF he gets out of line. In other words Jake better stay in line because we all know when it comes to Olivia whether justified or not Fitz isn't playing. I do not want to see a triangle but for me it's clear that Jake is a means to get away from the drama that Fitz represents and I agree with fans that there is more of a friendship type chemistry instead of a romantic chemistry between Jake and Olivia. I definitely think she cares about Jake but I don't think he can ever replace Fitz in her heart epecially being a member of B-613. It IS going to change him somehow. She might choose him briefly to get away from the drama but what happens when Fitz finally gets that divorce. Jake who ? lololol

Fitz is going to have him right where he wants him when Jake tries to rise against him...LOL! I am so here for that if it occurs we shall see....Remember nothing is impossible in Shondaland, she is known for crazy twists! He may end up with Liv temporary but she will wake up and realize who he really is that's for sure.

Though I am tired of the way she is writing their relationship (Olitz) in this season, it seems like she does not know how she wants to bring them together so she keep putting up these road blocks. IMO.....

This is truly crazy. I thought we were going to see Olivia and Fitz work together on the campaign without all this arguing. Is it necessary for this much drama ? One thing Fitz said that is completely on point, "Olivia" did this. Fitz said no to her, made a decision that went against her gut, and now all of a sudden she has to look out for herself. All of a sudden, she can't look at herself in the mirror without feeling like a whore. Was she feeling like a whore when she was f____king him or when she was asking him would he be coming over to spend the night? This is total bullshit. Mellie, asking Fitz how does it feel to be so hot for someone that you would throw everything else away? Come on. . . Mellie stayed with Fitz after her father-in-law raped her. She didn't stay for the kids, because at that time there were no kids. She needs to ask herself that question.

RIGHT@apple spice ... the writing is a bit flawed there, HOWEVER I have a strong feeling Olitz staged this fight. Olivia came up with the idea to put on a front with Jake, and I'm sure she talked Fitz into making their relationship appear even more shaky (to Jake) - whatever the motive is, we will find out soon. This theory makes sense to me because I just can't imagine Liv,with all her wisdom, would just choose to pick a fight with her lover with Jake right outside....without a motive. I think Olitz are playing everyone... including us gladiators LOL

Joyousj I hope you are right. At this point, I will take anyone's theory, because if we take the last two episodes on face value, they make no sense. Fitz and Liv should be tighter than ever, not at each other throats. So someone somewhere fucked up big time (writers). I put this blunder with the blunder on Dallas, when they killed off Bobby Ewing, and then a season later, brought him back. How did they bring him back by saying an entire season was only a dream. Scandal is now telling us that the first half of season 3 when Fitz learned Eli was Liv's father and remove him from office, showed her the house in Vermont, made Jake Command, helped Liv help her mother the terrorist escape was nullified by Fitz saying no to Liv and going against her gut. Now she needs Jake. . . and when Senator Addison was the person Fitz felt threatened by. . . she needed him. Please. . . the one thing about shit, it identifiable not only by the look, but by the smell. There is a lot of BS going on in Scandal right now. As a fan, I am insulted. As a thinking person, I am insulted. And as a fan of TG and KW, I am very insulted. STILL NOT LAUGHING OUT LOUD.

She should win a Emmy for this I swear

Alot and a plan was devised to get her in as well if she needed to. Note she is the only one that sends a flurry in the hall and doesn't knock the President's office door. Jake did say to her he has never heard anybody scream at the President before except she. Because before Liv not even Mellie would dare. And her scream doesn't have the effect Olivia's scream has on him anyway.

I hope what you all are saying is true that this is all a set up because I lost my mind when I seen next weeks previews with her kissing jake I was about done with liv but it does make sense for Tom and fitz to be playing jake but I am just not convinced that liv is I hope she gets it together because fitz has proven his love to many times to still be getting that type of treatment

Why do they have to argue so much? why couldn't they have an intelligent conversation about their feelings? they just finish having sex... who has the energy for a knock down drag out fight.... I know I wouldn't.... I would be somewhere with my thumb in my mouth sleep.

One thing I love about Fitz and Liv...they are never boring. Well at least they took care of business first and got laid before the fight. Olivia is really getting on my nerves with her wishy washy self. She seem so weak now. You a grown woman and made the choice years ago to fall in love with this man knowing full well he was running for President and married. You worried about some Scarlett letter? Who the hell cares. Say what you want about Fitz but he's given up everything twice for Liv yet she keeps sending him back. I still don't trust Jake but he deserve a hell of a lot better than waiting outside some door while the object of his affection is banging some other guy. Ewww! I think she means that they should only deal with the things of today..since he has made promises for the future that he hasn't followed through on!! She is saying don't make me promises for the future let's just deal with today..No promises for the future!!

I dunno. Not my fave. episode. So much tension between them.

if she wants a new ife, why the hell is she sleeping with the president with jake being out. this is messed up on so many levels. Being single and screwing up is one. But being committed or saying you want to be committed and start a new life, then sleeping with that man is no sign of smartness. why the hell this character is so weird?
