THE OODNADATTA TRACK Part 2 - via The Painted Desert & Mount Dare

Alright so this trip was so unreal we couldn't just squeeze it all into one episode so here is part two of the Oodnadatta Track. Half way through our trip, heavy rains closed the track, but as soon as they were open we were straight back on the road to continue our adventure! In this episode we travel to the Oodnadatta Roadhouse via the Painted Desert, and then take a detour off the track and head to Mount Dare.
We're completely new to this world of KZread, but we're having a ball sharing our life and adventures with you all. Thank you for coming along for the ride, we love reading all your comments, and appreciate your likes and shares!
Make sure you've turned on your alerts, as we'll be uploading a new video every week!
Cheers,
Karstan, Max and Zu :)

The memories this trip brings back. So good guys! You did wheel bearings, we pulled into the Pink Roadhouse with a broken front stub axle! Spent 7 days waiting for parts to arrive. It's a rite of passage 🙏

Hey guys, one thing that made our trip though outback NSW/VIC/SA so enjoyable was Geocaching. You discover so many fun things and most are no more than 200m from the road. Should help the little one a bit also with bit of entertainment, stretch the legs and also helps you to slow down and appreciate everything instead of just going from point a to point b.

You Guys are killing it , Ive had several Kombis , a 74, 75 and a 77 . Definitely go anywhere , especially with the bigger wheels / I had 15' on mine , looks like you have too. I realise you have to play it safe but you would get it though almost anything. Get yourself a winch if you havent already , dosent need to be big, with a snatch block and plenty of line, use dynema its very light. Thanks for sharing your experiences , maybe slow down a bit, put a limit on how many ks a day you do.

I travelled out to Mt Dare on 24/4 to recover a vehicle and camper trailer broken down, the Oodnadatta to mt dare rd was good till Hamilton then was slippery after that, but only for 6kms then was firm there after. Dpti closed the rd behind me so I had to go out via new crown, finke to Kulgera, and back to marla, what a day! then i heard on news of all the travellers stuck between William Creek and Oodnadatta, I was lucky.
