The only way is to not play the game, they preach realism but how many time in real life do you see world class defenders win the ball and the opposing attacker instantly wins it back or clearing the ball and it bounces off someone standing in the distance The game is just atrocious no amount of "defending" will save anyone

I appreciate the videos but omg do you all realize a large majority of the people don't get good gameplay connection?... it's impossible to not have delay switching when gameplay is horrible. As a result silly goals will always be conceded

Hes only trying to help people like me lol, Last Fifa I played properly was Fifa 14 and boy has it changed a ton!!! I'm still on Xbox One aswell, Madness of a game my Defending sucked, I used to be pretty good at Fifa 14😅

It is the worst defending in history, every year it gets worse and worse and worse, my defenders get outrun every game but somehow my opponent defenders always catch up to me even why my players have 90+ pace and dribbling, i have 0 idea what i must be doing wrong. Take me back to fifa 12 and 13 days when the game was actually fun and defenders dont act like complete morons in the box, and dont get me started on never winning 2nd balls. The game is just an absolute joke now. I'm glad i never paid money for it cause it was a free download!

defending is so frustrating in this game.. the standing tackles are so dumb when you press O the character will run a big 2 steps and do it, AND when you press the slide tackle button, it wont do it when you want it to, for example, when you want to anticipate/predict a pass, it will do it afterwards

The players don't react quick enough and the games slow 90% of the time, inconsistent game play has been an issue for years and its still there today the game is not fun to play anymore its gone completely down hill!!!

Can this be shown on career mode? Defending against the AI is totally different than playing against people online. In 5 seasons of career mode ive had only about 10 clean sheets. Ive tried all the techniques , tactics and formations and it does not work at all. The AI always dances past you one way or another 😫its completely unplayable and has been since day one

and the AI level system is so broken, in Professional i always win 5-15 goal/game even against the best team (city, liv etc), but in world class i barely win against 3rd div teams.

@@designcanostra9074 yeah i play world class but start off as Exeter City and build a team rather than a world class team with high budgets. But every game i’ve been conceding. Think ive only had 5 clean sheets in 4 seasons. Half the time my players defend really well for 80+ mins, concede a late goal then they forget how they defended and I end up conceding even more. Just so unrealistic

@@FrankCastleThePunisher666 i think the problem is our AI (non-cursor) is really dumb. the defender stand too far from the AI team's strikers, and when i take the ball they mostly just standing behind opponents.

@@designcanostra9074 i agree. I also find that you can run towards goal clean through, and the AI defenders manage to run back faster and do a perfect time slide from behind just as you are about to shoot. Yet our defenders can never catch up with the AI attacker running through on goal

@@FrankCastleThePunisher666 it's true, I play 4th division with well-known old player, and just edit their age to 15 (bc I don't want to play a bunch of nobodies) it's really weird that 85 rated Zaha can outrun by 60s rated defenders. And now I just adjust the AI abilities in world-class, so it just match me perfectly, I can score 3-5 goals and 1-2 consended against 3rd division. and 1-2 goals difference against top EPL teams, sometimes I lose, and I think it's fair bc my team is all-star already. This is my first fc/fifa btw, because PES turned $#it. I used to play on my PS4 it's way worst, the scripted game really annoying, I often edit AI's acceleration and speed to 1, and they still score.

0:01 the root cause of easy goal is that: Defenders dont come close to player who will kick goal. Watch it. 2 defender runs with no added value. You will always concede easy goal. This is the dynamic of fifa. You have nothing to do it

My friend there is a skill gap to defense this year. The AI won’t be doing you any favors. You have to make the switch to make the adjustments. Defense is an art that takes years to master in any sports or fighting game you play.

@@GeneralHAWXX thank you for comment. I watch short videos of masters at fifa. Scores are like 6-5, 7-4 etc. This means that there is a huge gap in defence in fifa. Even master cant overcome that gap. Is there button or buttons in console for defenders to make come close to forvets? If it is art, it should have a method to implement that basic need.

as much as you'd like to brag about how great you are at fifa, that example you give at 1:48 isn't your incredible defending, it's an obvious example of scripting. EA script each match and fortunately for you in this particular match, you were scripted to have the advantage for every pass, it magnetises to you rather than going to the opponents feet it'll find its way to yours. You can even see the ball change direction as the game is calibrating it so it lands at your feet rather than to the attacker.

Delay in switching when the gameplay is laggy and unresponsive lol. The servers are trash, the gameplay is trash, so why even bother investing time into this game?
