Nobody realized that Zylus (the possible detective) asked Nilesy (NOT a detective) if he was a deputy. That immediately told me they were both traitors and Zylus saw the wrong symbol above catpants’s head

I think they should add a sound for when the vindicator returns, it should just play Ben's "Imma Vindicatooooor!" line

1:12 Lewis' explanation of this pack is so funny, because he makes it sound so much more complicated than it is, which is simply "each person has a 50% chance of being of being bad, and 50% of being good". The 25% chances that they are both good or both bad are just a byproduct of this, as is the 50% chance that there is one of each.

When Ben said 37% (1:46), I was reminded of an exchange in the movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang between main characters Perry (Val Kilmer) and Harry (Robert Downey, Jr.) regarding Russian roulette-type odds (one bullet, six chambers): Harry: There was like an eight percent chance. Wasn't it just eight? Perry: Eight percent? Eight? Who taught you math‽ (The real chance is 1/6 = 16.666...%, more than double what Harry thought.)

Ben is calling "Moonball", as is appropriate per Achievement Hunter rules. I appreciate this immensely.

Oh no, they're actually right about the chances of getting a Traitor being really good if you kill both the detectives! Because those Impersonators aren't *in addition* to the existing Traitors, there's a 25% chance you just instantly win the round!! And a 50% chance of evening the odds from 2 against 5 to 1 against 4! The only downside is that the Innocents then lose their buy menu, but is that really so bad? Thank heavens the Yogs barely ever play to the meta! 😂

If they were really trying to play the game to win (instead of just having fun) the optimal play would be anyone who spawns as a deputy kills the other detective? right away, wouldn't it?

@@PinkieBen, I think the nuances of the social aspect keep that from being the optimal play. Let's say your 66% chance of killing a traitor (impersonator) works out. Even if you do kill them, you might not get a chance to check because either an innocent or a traitor pretending to be a concerned innocent will aim to kill you. If you get unlucky, and kill the other deputy (33% chance), you are basically broadcasting that you have a 75% chance of being evil, without factoring in the social aspect of killing a good guy. With a 66% chance of improving your team's odds vs a 33% chance of *severely* ruining your team's odds, it is more of a gamble that even a meta-gamer might not want to take.

The 'No Detective Pack' should be re-named 'The Defective Pack'

So, always tell Boba the odds. It get's you the upper hand. Even if the odds are very, very simple.

It's fantastic chaos, a role pack that makes two clear non-jester targets that're incredibly RDM-able, yet wanting to kill them makes you seem RDM-able. Same for wanting to protect them though. Overall it just highlights for me that sometimes I can't possible guess who the traitor(s) is when the editors cheekily hide it, the Yogs are a shifty bunch. Nice work editors.

Based off Lewis’ idea: randomat called “job fair”. A selection of roles are available to choose from and everyone can select one and become it. There can only be 1 of that role then it gets greyed out. No one else knows what you pick. Alternative idea: role - Jobsworth (pink) This role has you change your role every time you die with a decreasing pool of health. Any role you become does no damage, but instead causes an annoying effect.

I love the chaotic energy ben brings to every round, like he genuinely does not care much about winning, and can afford to do some really dumb stuff.

I need a loop of Ben saying I am a Vindicator! in my life.

The odds on this pack are really fun. The thing is, the best strategy by the numbers is to kill both detectives immediately because your odds of not hitting a traitor are only 25%. In fact, you'd just flat out win a quarter of the rounds!

picking your own innocent role sounds really fun, if more than a little chaotic. I assume merc is gonna be the go-to, since everyone wants toys to play with.

I like the idea of innocents being able to pick their innocent roles. It would add more randomness to the game.

Honestly, the idea of an Innocent role that allows for a person to pick a role based on their play style doesn’t sound too bad. You could call it the Everyman

2:50 There's a 50% chance that if they attacked a "detective" they would be bad. Assuming D = Deputy and I = Impersonator, the possible combos are: DD, DI, ID, II. Overall there are 4 instances of Deputy and 4 of Impersonator, meaning at any given time you have a coin flip on whether they're a good or a bad

How’s this for a weapon “banana gun” one hit kill but can only be used once, but you can leave the peel on the floor and whoever steps on it will ragdoll. Now as for a role idea: Monkey, it is a jester role, it has the fore mentioned banana gun, but being a jester role it can’t kill anyone, and every time it crouches it leaves a banana peel. If u want, u can also make it throw poop which will blind the opponent’s. I thought it would be quite funny.

If boba was the impersonator, she whould have known if Zylas was a bad one, so he could only have been a good detective since shed known if he was her traitor budy, could have outed dunc and guessed to win

Role idea: The Shoplifter. Neutral role. Once per round, the shoplifter can "steal" an item from either the detective or traitor store. Game will announce that someone has stolen something from the shop (Not sure if it should name the specific person). Goal of the shoplifter is to steal an item and get away with it aka survive to the end of the round.

They could make it like a jester that wants to get hit by a buy menu weapon and then gets that weapon and kills whoever used it on them, then have them be a wild card.

A 3rd of the way in I was like "no f'ing way". Depending on teams it was a fun map or a spawn killing nightmare. I scrolled through so many comments just to find others that have played Combat Arms XD

These new role packs are a lot of fun, some of them are pretty creative and spice up the gameplay too.

So, if the 25 25 50 thing is right, Ben is correct that there's a 75% chance that at least one of them is bad, that said there's a 75% chance of it being a 50% chance either way. From there there's another 50% chance that the second "detective" (assuming one died) is bad.

Ahh the moonball. RIP Achievement Hunter. (I think the only TTT thing from them that's come to Yogs vs all the Yogs stuff that used to go there)

I wonder if the order in which people join the session effects the odds of the role they get each round? Ben being vindicator repeatedly reminded me of the past couple of recording sessions where Nilesy was pink roles constantly. OR, each player has special odds to be each role?

You know they say that all yogs are created equal, but you look at boba and you look at Ben and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with a detective role, you got a 50/50 chance of them being an impostor. But Boba is a large rodent, and they're not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at beat them. Then you add Kurt Angle to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down. See the no detectives pack, you got a 37 and a half chance of killing an impostor, but boba, boba got a 75% chance of killing an impostor, because Kurt Angle KNOWS he can't beat her and he's not even gonna try! So Ben, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus boba's 25% chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of shooting an impostor. But then you take Boba's 75% chance of winning, if we was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, they got 141 2/3 chance of winning at TTT. See Ben, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you at shooting a detective.

if you stop to think, this detective role pack is a bertrand's box paradox! If you kill one of the detectives and it's a traitor, there's a 2/3 chance of the other one being a traitor, and the same is true if it's an actual detective
