I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm on Lewis's side with this. Duncan jokingly started firing and Ben and Nilsey were very suspicious and them not speaking up makes it seem like they got ressed, weirdly Ped was the least suspicious.

Yeah. If you’re going to go for that kind of play, you have to accept the risks you run. Lying to the detective as an innocent is just always going to be suspicious and a risky move. That’s just how it works. It’s just unfortunate luck that the first person both Ben and Nilesy found after going dark was Lewis, and he justifiably executed them.

Yeah I agree with Lewis too. I would've totally assumed everyone left is evil when nobody talks after a big explosion like that. Especially when there can be hypnotists around, it's suspicious as fuck.

@@elmatador2139 Yeah I was also team Lewis (and not just bc of name bias) as being quiet -> assumed dead is usually only a traitor play (since y'know most innocents can't buy a radar) so it's hardly RDM to blast shifty hiding silent players. Can't exactly give them a "how do you do?" and ask them sincerely if they're bad.

Although it's a great idea, it wouldn't work. Deputy and Impersonator only trigger when the Detective isn't there. So instead of a Detective, I'd suggest throw in a second Deputy.

@@SuddenReal I think what they're saying is modify the rules for this pack very slightly so that the deputies and impersonators can be active while the detective is still alive. The issue with this idea is that the detective and deputy would be functionally identical roles in this kind of setup, so I suppose you could allow all the special detective types and just have the absolute most chaotic game of TTT ever

If the Phantom is killed by something that doesn't trigger their ability they could get the ability to possess objects, and use the move object option faster with less cool down. That way the role isn't pointless, even if they don't come back.

This wouldn't work with the fool's golden gun unfortunately, as it switches the victim's role to be a traitor. For environmental or prop kills, though, it might work out.

7:45 Nilsey punishing Lewis to see if it would activate the death note was smart I feel like the “No detectives” pack doesn’t really work. Because it immediately narrows it down too much. It’s like when the mercenary and Phoenix were first added leaving only one plain innocent. So if for example Zylus is that one innocent, then he immediately knows who’s bad because they’ll claim to be the “innocent” role. I feel it would work better if there was only one pseudo detective per round. That way, it just removed the guaranteed innocent part of the role. Statistics are the real enemy in this. So instead of one detective, there’s one deputy/impersonator/detectoclown. Edit: OR… Maybe get rid of the detectoclown and make it statistically less likely for a traitor to be the detective. Like 2 deputies:half and half:2 impersonators should be 60:30:10 or something. Rather than 33:33:33.

I love how at 13:25 Lewis literally *sees* Ben right there when Nilesy and Duncan die down the hall, looking right at it happening, and doesn’t think it might be Ben, who classically loves running at people while holding a shark trap.

If I had a nickel for every time Lewis duelled Pedguin in that hallway and was about to win, but then ran out of ammo, pulled out his crowbar, hit Pedguin once, then died as the last member of his team... I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

the math that decides roles in this rolepack should probably get changed, where it creates a normal game then randomly chooses 3 players to instead be the deputy version of their role so the deputies have normal odds of being bad

@@emmetisabirb What exactly makes that "impossible"? I'm sure any decent programmer could modify it to work that way. If it's the "Custom Roles for TTT" by Nick and Malivil, then it is entirely open source, meaning anyone is free to grab the code and modify it.

With this pack as is, it is the correct decision to eliminate all three detectives immediately, and this is why. There are four possible configurations here: Scenario 1: Deputy, Deputy, Detectoclown Scenario 2: Deputy, Impersonator, Detectclown Scenario 3: Impersonator, Deputy, Detectoclown Scenario 4: Impersonator, Impersonator, Detectoclown What does this mean? Scenario 1 results in 2 Innocents vs 2 Traitors, the worst possible outcome for team innocent, but not a complete loss. Scenarios 2 and 3 result in 3 Innocents vs 1 Traitor, a noticeable advantage for team innocent. Scenario 4 results in team innocent winning the game outright. We can see that eliminating all three detectives puts the Innocents at a disadvantage 25% of the time, an advantage 50% of the time, and outright winning the game 25% of the time. Granted, they will never play like this, but it I found it interesting.

I've been wtching the Yogs play TTT for years and this was the best episode of TTT I've seen in a long time! It had everything, pro plays, "pro" plays, and people trying to figure out the meta; all while in the background they seemed to have a ton of fun.

It has been a decade and Ben still checks bodies directly under barnacles that he watched kill them. What happens next? Ben snacks. Every. Time.

Well… It’s a big assumption that the traitors would be checking the scoreboard… But yeah. Lewis in this case is innocent, and the punishment is an egregious miscarriage of justice and I will be appealing it to the highest yogscast court of the high magistrate of HR, The Honorable Sir Markus Humes.

My god that round where they just refused to shoot the detectives even though they were the only ones killing everyone was so stressful. Ben killing duncan on lewis’s screen but lewis not seeing it was crazy. Ben was like a straight up monster movie slowly picking them all off.

Duncan on 150 HP with a PaP'd fingergun and Boba on 1 HP hiding under a desk made me think of that one Terminator meme with the girl.

That last round was like if everyone rolled a nat 1 for intuition. That was amazing

the balance on this pack is broken. Need to massively up the rate of two deputies spawning

The three detective problem 😂 reminds me of that riddle of two people and one can only lie and the other can only tell the truth...

The deputy should be the #1 anti-detective. They have 1 out of 2 100% confirmed evil detectives and the other one is a 50/50 evil. Also, I would love to see what Kirty's new Garry's Mod model will be. For those who don't know Garry's Mod has to remove everything Nintendo related from the Steam Workshop and that includes Pikachu.

Boba's very real fear at the end there is very much me in any stealth game.

Honestly one of THE best episodes in a long time!

Feels like that last round is exactly what they've all been waiting for this pack to produce. Suspicious of all detectives and end up killing them all, only to find you had two deputies.

This entire episode was AMAZING.

Guaranteed detectoclown does break this pack. Instead of a 50/50, now if you kill all, you're guaranteed to kill an enemy role, plus whatever traitors show up among the detectives.

The detectoclown doesn't add much but an excuse to kill detectives. It guarantees 1 detective is bad and since they're brown, they're just free to kill? The clown is a nice role because it adds some spice to jesters, meaning you can't just ignore every jester role. Detectoclown is just a worse traitor

I'm with Lewis on this one, if you don't speak up you can't be surprised when people assume you are a traitor.

This episode shows that discussing TTT and the meta of the game is more fun than turning TTT into a podcast. I hope the Yogscast learn from this and not turn TTT into another GTA where it is just a podcast with pretty colours for people to look at. Also having an interesting variety of maps helps. This episode was good because the setup was so broken, but crucially it was fun for them to discover and discuss the meta. And interspersing these moments were fun elements enhanced by the claustrophobic map, such as the artillery cannon and radio silence moment or the boba hiding from an alien moment, or the slams, or the barnacles. All good stuff.

My face hurts from laughing at that last round 😂

Imma say it. Zylus was right to kill Nilsy there in the last round. No reason it should have taken him so long to read those letters unless he actually is dyslexic.
