I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other. When I was about 8 years old, I saw a man with a cane who dragged one leg when he walked. I asked my Mother what was wrong with him and she told me that he had tried to kill himself and had not succeeded. Then I asked her why he had tried to kill himself, and she told me that his girlfriend had broken up with him. I remember saying that he must have really loved her to do that. Then she said something that I’ll never forget. She said “No, he was mentally ill. That’s not something you do when you love someone.”

I’ve been alive long enough to know that some people are crazy and that you never mess with certain things if you want to guarantee nothing bad will happen to you. Don’t mess with anyone’s wife, girlfriend, money or livelihood. People will kill you over those things. And dating your friends ex is also on the list of things I personally wouldn’t do.

People get back with their exes all the time. If you find a new love interest and then they die...your mind is either gonna travel to the future or the past. So if one still has fond memories of a past relationship, the idea really of reuniting with an ex isn't completely outside the realm of possibility.

Deadly teenaged "love" stories are so depressing. People, when you're 28, you will barely remember the people you dated in high school! Edited to add: Yes, I know you guys who are replying successfully married your high school sweetheart. That's still on the rare side, and my point is that obsessive teenage love like this isn't actual love- it's just infatuation. See: the plot of Romeo and Juilet, which made fun of it.

Fun Fact, there really was a time in the mid-late 2000's when Siri would actually give you a list of options like that such as dumps, parks, etc when you asked her where to hide a body. But I guess that didn't go over well with police so at some point it changed to her saying, "I used to know how to answer that". I have no idea what she says now-a-days though, I'm way to nervous to try it with all the cyber-spying BS the government does, Siri would probably report you directly to the cops rather than joking about not knowing the answer anymore.

@@willesco5211 She's a beauty queen compared to inadequate little squirt Pedro! But this story is not about the girl or her looks - it's about some males' huge entitlement and need to control females (I realise there are some obsessive females too, but this kind of crime, like all violent crime, is overwhelmingly committed by male perpetrators). Males like Pedro refuse to accept a woman's rejection. They should grow up learning boundaries and respecting other people's right to reject them. Yes rejection is tough but every human being goes through it sometime and learning to develop a thick skin and move on is a sign of maturity. Erica was free to date whoever she liked, she ended her relationship with Pedro and was not cheating on him. But he was a highly dangerous psychopath, capable of murder. Sadly they often look like him - inadequate and unimpressive. That's what makes them so dangerous, people don't realise what they're capable of. Christian made the mistake of getting into his car and it would cost him his life. Erica is actually very lucky to be alive - in most cases it's the female subject of the crazy's obsession who gets murdered.

There was no way I wanted anything to do with that guy already, getting people to help stalk me and threatening to kill someone I love is not attractive. It's not changing my mind. It just cements how screwed up people like that are and how much I do not want to have anything to do with anyone like that. Pro tip: killing people to get someone back is not a good move. A huge amount of the love triangles seem to fall into 1 of 2 categories: 1) A guy who wants to be with a girl that doesn't want him. 2) A woman that wants to be with a guy that's not her husband, and convinces them to kill the husband because that's more Godly.
