none of my shows have gotten cancelled without a proper send off 😊 at least, none that I can think of 🤔

regardless of what happens, this is the best and most original show i have ever watched in my 40 years of show-watching. if it really was cancelled, that is a crime, esp. considering some of the garbage and just meh stuff on netflix

@@madison3884 watch Severance on Apple TV and HBO's The Leftovers. Two of very few shows I consider to be as good as Dark/The OA. my favourite show is Succession but that is very very different type of show haha

I don't understand how they COULD cancel this show. Literally felt like a breath of fresh air after years of shit being funnelled through the service. Was a truly captivating, thought provoking and simply brilliant show. The depth was insane. Plot was even better. Netflix needs to sort its priorities before I give my money to a consistently professional platform.

Yup. I'm rewatching the OA now. I'm still a little toasty over the cancellation. My wife hipped me to the show originally but she died in 2019, and rewatching the show is unexpectedly emotional for me. Caught me off guard.She never got to see the second season.

Season 1 started out amazing it had a tangible concept and left a wanting for more it was vulnerable and believable season 2 was an epic fail right from the start it was a complete, shit show ,no wonder they never made season 3 they fucked up season 2 The very first mistake they made in the beginning of season 2 was making out as though you die when you jump instead of swapping places and everything just escalated downhill from there over the top unrealistic side stories branching off in all directions with completely unrealistic connections season 1 had the foundation for something good something that could have been as good as the Twilight Series in the box office If they were going to do anything with this show first of all they need to completely scrap season 2 and start again following the same narrative as season 1 if they were going to do anything with the show making a season 3 would not help fix the mess they made with season 2 season 2 needs to be completely rewritten They just made way too many mistakes unrealistic followable non-tangible tacky over the top way too many loose ends and the list goes on it actually gave me a headache forcing myself through watching it and just left me feeling kind of angry that they fucked it up so bad It needed to stay within the realms of believability soft gentle vulnerable and intriguing enough to leave you wanting more falling in love with all the characters season number one had everything Season number 2 felt completely detached from the story perhaps they were given too much funding and kind of lost touch with the nature of the story somehow I actually feel like I could have written season 2 better myself it didn't follow the path that it should have in an almost annoyingly obvious way I can almost pinpoint everything they should have done different It makes me wonder what happened in order for them to lose track of the story to such a degree How something with such an incredible potential just became a sloppy mess I mean seriously robot movements Blue's Clues clues on the TV they had her talking to an octopus for Christ sake Magic House of mysteries gross the whole thing made me sick way to desperately unwatchable It should have continued along the line of them developing their abilities more forming things like telepathy and greater connection with each other they should have ultimately found a way to kill hap His character got dragged out longer than it needed to be people with looking for that epic moment and then it should have returned to the group that was created the original five and the second five coming together working with their skills learning new and Powerful things in the first series oa Haddaway with people she could sense their pain and there was details of her being able to pick up on certain things the show should have continued on their ability to grow their connection with each other and help others and fix their family and blah blah etc etc you can see where I'm going with it but it was what people were expecting not talking octopuses and Magic houses and unbelievable coincidences that are just too gross and the ending of being a movie set really tacky guys so tacky what happened. ???? Whoever came up with season 1 was close to genius level what went wrong from there I just can't figure it out ??????? Either way but because they fucked up season 2 it's over what you see is what you get there's no more the whole thing got derailed I heard that they were offered to make a quick tie up show about it just to not leave loose ends for the audience but they turned it down because they wanted to make a series 3 but that was never going to happen not with the mess they made of it people clearly fell off the track by then because the whole track fell off the track It turned into a Doctor Who vibe but even he made more episodes 😂😂😢

Also side note instead of travelling to another dimension why didn't they just travel to the destination where they're needed to go save her friends within their own dimension it would have made so much more sense it was the whole point of the original story and completely lost in season 2

@@AshDub86 I don't think she did mean it as an expression, not to speak for her but it was also ABSOLUTELY life changing for me. It came into my life after years of severe ptsd and just starting to get into post traumatic growth and starting my spiritual journey so for me it was beautifully life affirming and I watched it a half a dozen times as I was healing. It's spiritually moving and I can see how some people can see it and not get that out of it but for others of us, it's a beautiful etheric otherworldy piece of art that is truly life changing, that touches something so real and raw and vulnerable, that you didn't know you were hungry for. That unscratchable itch in the back of your brain. There's just no way you can explain it, like a near death experience, or a psychedelic journey, you can try your best to explain in words but you can't. There aren't words.

@@heavaden I feel exactly the same after coming through a mental health crisis I’ve watched it 5x in 1.5 years. Every time I get the exact same feelings and emotions. For some reason I feel so connected to it and am heartbroken when I think about not having closure with it.

Watching this very late but I feel like there was a missed part in all this- Brit falling from the cord in the finale and being seriously injured. How fascinating that the show they were filming (The OA) would get cancelled. Makes sense that in the show, it would get cancelled after the main character is hurt.

For The OA fans, A Murder at the End of the World is also full of enigmas. In this last episode (S01E04), Bill's tattoos directly reflect the second season of The OA: - "A hooded/hidden angel" - The OA itself; - "KRAKEN" = In The OA it's a cephalopod too, specifically an octopus (Azazel); - "An eye" = One of the items of curiosity that The OA finds in the second season, an eye (we didn't have a specific resolution of this because of the cancellation), but the eye had her true identity. In the seasons of The OA, there is the narrative that in each dimension she has an ally/partner/protector, who helps her... Bill was in a way a type of support for Lee (Brit's character)... And in the last episode of AMATEOTW, a Storm arrived 👀

I remember thinking the cancellation was fake when I heard about it because 1. I waited 3 years for the second season and its hard to accept that I waited that long just to be heartbroken 2. They already mapped out 5 seasons and ratings were good, why cancel? 3. It fits with the plot. The OA was an amazing show 😭 and to this day im having a hard time accepting the cancellation, I tried forgetting about it but im currently rewatching and fell in love with it all over. Its been 3 years since the last season, and I have hope, especially after watching this video. I hope i don’t end up heart broken again lmao.

My best friend from high school and I had a two very public social media breakdown about the show being canceled and theorized it was fake. But ultimately concluded our assumption was denial. Considering we are both in our late 30s and typically only interact on social media post for the big three’s- birth, deaths, or weddings, it standouts to me as how un-fathomable the cancellation was.

When I first started to watch the OA i got bored pretty quickly. Than a friend told me to give it some time cause its going to be the best show I've ever seen. Than he actually told me not to watch it beacause it got cancelled and I will be pissed about that for the rest of my life. Needless to say I started watching it again and I got hooked. Its one of the most amazing series I've ever seen. I really really hope that they make a 3rd season, because this is true art.

She's always been fascinated with cults and followings and meta-stories, and that's exactly what the cancellation of her show created. This is sheer genius. Complete mad genius.

They jumped into a dimension close to ours, but not exactly ours. In this dimension Brit and Jason are married and The OA is filmed in the UK. When Old Night killed The OA for 37 seconds she was on a plane - seeing herself (Brit Marling) watching Netflix on Screen - flying to the UK to shoot The OA. (Flight BA411 - -> BA = Britsh Airwaves). When Scott talks about his NDE he says The OA and Hap were kissing and "looked like a couple" (so confirmed, they are really married in this dimension) and a "heavy Lady" (most likely BBA) apporached him and gave him the 3rd Movement. (Can't wait to find out how all of that is going to play out. How does BBA knows who Scott is and when to give him the movement when The OA is not "herself" in this dimension?) Whenever Part 3 drops our fucking heads are going to blow apart! And yes, it will take a long while. They are working on Retreat in the moment (It's going to be mindbending, intriguing and amazing - like all of their work! I also believe it has nothing to do with The OA) and hopefully it is super successful so Part 3 will be a reality sooner than later. Anyway: Can't wait for it and looking for clues every day. Keeping the hasthag alive #SaveTheOA

I think they just want to keep the show alive as long as they can, they wrote many seasons of it and spent years doing so..Brit and Zal -crafting this very intricate world. They need fans to keep talking about it so they can have the opportunity to get it funded. It seems like a expensive show to make. Season 3 may require alot of money to bring that vision to life. I do believe the show was cancelled, but I can see the reason for the performance art to keep it alive while they find the money and platform for the rest of the seasons.. This theory would be groundbreaking if it were true, if this was the plan ALL ALONG. Mind blown

I don't care how many years past, I will always be waiting for more seasons of The OA. Love that story ❤️

This theory has been going around since the cancellation announcement. I remember being beyond heartbroken, but then so giddy when I read it. 3 years on, and my hope has dwindled. It would be super cool but with the actors doing different things, Brit’s statements about the cancellation etc. it makes it seem unlikely that the cancellation was faked.

This show changed my life. It then inspired me to read the book it was based on called “Life After Life” and was the first time I really thought about experiencing life after death. It’s just insane. It was spiritual. It was everything. I am so incredibly grateful it existed. If I were the creators, I would be incredibly proud of myself. Brilliant. It was also filmed 15 minutes away from where I grew up. Like knowing this character existed made me feel so much less alone

In 2016 she disappeared. Seven years later she came back. 2023 can be a great year, friends.

This was my first thought when they announced the cancellation, then the time just kept passing and I stopped believing. Now you're giving me hope! 😭

that's what I'm thinkin! i'm such a sucker for meta stuff so this is something i've been nerding out about since 2019

I was on a Brit binge watch when I heard in an interview that she has a project that at the time she and Zal had been working on for ten years, but that there is a different story that needs to be told first. I think the original story was OA, and the new story is their new project, and that the continuation of OA will be next.

Imagine if the retreat is a comtinuation of the OA, with the same characters, and they're just making a different show now because they're in our dimension, but behind the scenes, their shenanigans continue

Britt is filming through the window in that photograph. That's a film camera, not a stills one. It could be a fake cancellation, or they could be playing with that idea to try to keep the fanbases attention until they can make something new, whether that is more The OA or not.

I just found today, just minutes ago, here on youtube, the short movie THE RECORDIST, which was made by Zal in 2007 and what is the debut for Brit as an actress. And after that, I found your great video. GREAT, I'm serious. And I wanted to thank you for this video: I'm still waiting for the 3rd season.

I unsubscribed from Netflix after they cancelled The OA! I have been loyal to Netflix for many years from the very beginning, but the cancellation of this series really pissed me off! How can you leave the viewers hanging? Netflix is evil!

I loved this show, and I was crushed when Netflix cancelled it. I still searching for the dimension where that didn't happen

This show has made we want to believe all that is seemingly impossible, is possible. I'd never felt so moved and affected by a show before. For me, it came out of nowhere at just the perfect time. I think I'll also forever live my life expecting the continuation of this masterpiece. I'm glad more people are discovering it now, let's all sink into the transdimensional river together 🕊️

Realizing now The OA was the first to start/air this multiverse trend we are seeing now in media with the MCU (multiverse of madness) (No Way Home) and Everything, Everywhere All at Once. Was such an amazing and captivating show and absolutely loved the meta S2 finale. "You come find me" sounds like season 3 is posted somewhere and want people to find it. I don't know but I freaking love Brit and Zal and this series 🥰

Fringe introduced the idea before OA, although to be fair, in that show, it was 2 universes only, rather than many, if there were more, I don't remember them being mentioned. Point is OA didn't start this trend, neither did Fringe, it's come and gone over the years.

@@OnePixelataTime I loved Fringe!! Olivia Dunham was my girl...but parallel universe is a different concept than the multiverse. The concepts and principles set up in the O.A. I hadn't seen depicted before and certainly set off a modern day trend on the structure their multiverse takes. It was really well done. If you can think of the other works depicting this from over the years definitely share. It'd be cool to check them out and see others concepts and how they compare/differ.

Ugh I am so hoping this is what actually happened. I go back and fourth with believing this, and netflix just being dumb and cancelling great shows. I do wonder why Zal was being so cryptic on Instagram though. Always hoping

I truly love The OA so much. Netflix has released MANY shows that could easily be interpreted as the "real life" or meta version that we're left with at the end of season two. I'm in the same boat - I don't care how long it takes, I'll be there as soon as Season 3 premieres!

If they are pulling a trick on us… they need to tell ppl now. Netflix subs are way down. I would pay for this one show. It is the best of the best ❤️

At the end of the season 2 finale, Hap says “we’re going somewhere where everyone calls you OA, yet everyone believes it but you”. It would make sense that it would be an IRL twist for season 3 that would have to play out for a while after the season 2 finale to give them enough material for season 3.

my sister just came up with the most interesting theory. this is from a text she just sent me: “Do we think Hal is the billionaire? I think it seems unlikely because he’s not listed as a cast member for Retreat but that show is about a billionaire who invites 11 people to some secluded place and then there’s a murder and the main girl is trying to solve it / solve “the mystery” and I’m wondering if there’s going to be a very real OA overlap in it even though they are all new characters. Like Brit is still in it. So do we have a new group of people / new dimension here?”

o0o0o that's a fun theory. Jason Isaacs has been really vocal about how much he enjoyed working with Brit and Zal, so it makes sense to me that they'd all want to work together again if their schedules allow for it, even if it's unrelated to The OA. But it's only natural that we connect a lot of dots if he pops up in Retreat lol

If they came out with the new season it would probably be the most watched show of the year, or maybe even the oast few years &/or years to come! The fan base hasn't done anything but grow exponentially over the years!

I had full body chills the whole time watching this… this show has changed me and I will forever miss it

End of 2023 and still hoping. I cancelled Netflix after 10 years of membership because of them cancelling the OA, and I still feel good that I did. It was the right thing to do... I mean how could they? :(

After the ending of season two a super coincidence happen to me. I live in London and at that time i just started working at this coffee shop, I kept serving this man that seemed super familiar to me but I didn’t think too much of it. Two weeks later my manager tells me that he is an actor and told me his name, it was Kingsley the man that plays the detective on season two. I couldn’t fathom what was happening cuz with the end of the season they jumped to this dimension and I got to meet him talk to him. He told me about the writers and how good it was to work for the show. Still trying to process all of it because this show is out of this world

I have had this theory for years now, and I have gone around telling so many people this same exact theory. I had no idea that there was a community of us with the same idea until now. I feel like I have fulfilled a prophecy by spreading the word of the show without knowing that's their specific goal.

I so hope the OA WILL BE BACK! I was so disappointed when I heard they weren't going to finish it. Love that show. I'd have to refresh but hat ending was a big cliff hanger

Oh I absolutely love this... reminds me of Lost back in the day. But elevated. I'm relatively late to the OA, watched it last year and have since watched it twice more. I rarely rewatch shows. I had no idea about most of this stuff, thanks for putting this together. Now for a deep dive on that subreddit...

I just finished rewatching the show for the 4th time (the first time I watched it was in 2016 and I still can’t move on). I see so many comments from people saying how the show “got lost” on part 2 and this frustrates me so much because that’s why great shows are cancelled! People only want the simple and already digested stories! This show was made to be a puzzle from the beginning, the creators talked about that and how they already had 5 seasons on paper. They know exactly where the story was supposed to go and season 2 was beautifully done. It’s so revolting how people aren’t able to grasp the concept presented by the show: “I asked you to believe in impossible things” or Hap’s quote on how we’re stopped by disbelief. People are bothered by the octopus, the house, things that “were too weird” but don’t stop to think about how these things aren’t the point at all. They were all resources to tell a story about how all things are connected. For those who didn’t like season 2 as much, I say: REWATCH IT.

Six months ago? This video is from six months ago, and I really love this theory. I haven’t talked about OA since man….the last season. I really hope this theory is true because man, it’s gonna be such a good time for this show to come now. There are movies and shows talking about the multiverse. And honestly the OA was my first time ever hearing about the multiverse theory!!!!

Hearing those theories that are insane yet perfectly logical considering the context, and seeing just how much this show has meant to fans including myself, honestly gives me hope. Thank you for making this video, I had no idea all this strange stuff was being posted but now I’m extremely excited.

I was very active on the OA subreddit for the first year after the cancellation... I was SUPER convinced that the IRL theory was real, then slowly lost hope. This was a really good recap video that included a lot of details that I had forgotten about. I hope it’s true ❤️❤️🕊

I'm literally crying right now just imagining seeing a logo for OA pt3 on Netlflix, calling my girl straight away saying ' YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS ', and waiting for her to binge the sh*t out of it.

I literally have the chills this is so something netflix and Brit and Zal would do. This show is so amazing, highly recommend.

All things aside, fake cancellation or not. This was and still is one of the best TV shows to ever be released. I put this on the same level as “the left overs” and that’s saying something. Truly original and captivating.

I just finished watching the 2 seasons for the first time and looked up for season 3. I was heartbroken to see that it was cancelled. Now looking at this theory is blowing my mind and giving me hope😂😂 I so hope this becomes the reality. The show is amazing!!!! WE WANT SEASON 3!!!!😤😤😤

Fuuuuuuuuuck I really try not to pay attention to fan theories and conspiracy, it's so easy to just connect every little dot with whatever you're already trying to prove. BUT idk man, this one seems to be holding a lot of water...i would so love a season 3 💖

Could this be representative of the in-real-life game/puzzle that initially hooked people from a virtual platform in Part II??? Hahaha. Great video! I recently went down a mental rabbit hole of OA references and theories (again) and found my way here, and now a little more hope has been restored... *whelp*

The scavenger hunt game in Part II is such a great comparison, I can only hope it's all connected!

I want so DESPERATELY to believe it will come back, but part of me feels like 5 years from now we'll still be exactly where we are now, empty handed.

Canceling it so soon after season 2 release makes no sense. I don't start watching shows when I know they've been cancelled because I don't want to watch an unfinished story..so netflix just put thousands of people off watching this amazing show

I don’t think the shows coming back any time soon. But if it does I hope there is a new character that is a fan of the OA in their universe that was following this cancellation theory and decided to believe it even though it is crazy, and then steve shows them that the OA plot actually happened to him, and the fan has to help them in some way.

I had a spiritual awakening because of this show and I can no longer go back to believing how I used to. I’d be curious to find out why everyone believes why they need 5 people. I think it’s due to the 5 senses. Anyone else have theories?

I have watched virtually everything Brit and Zal have created together. So when I saw this drop on Netflix out of nowhere I was SHOOK. And it’s everything I would want it to be. It’s so them.

I’m sad you didn’t include when Isaacs would do interviews after the show ended he was still in charter for Hap, defending his actions and ALWAYS wearing that same blue v neck. They are in this reality! I still have hope and believe in impossible things!

So it's 2 years later and I've only just found the OA because the final movement scene of season one is going viral, and there are a bunch of articles about it. It feels like there's renewed interest in the OA. Could this be the storm??

One thing that gives me hope, with all of this in mind, is that I can't see these people starting this show without absolute guarantee they will get to finish it.

Love this Theory. Adding to it: 3, years between 1st and 2nd season, 7 years between the 2nd and 3rd!

This is wild. I didn't know a thing about this theory since I'm not really plugged into the fanbase or cast online. I was /just/ thinking about the show last night. Getting bummed about the cancellation all over again, and considering rewatching it. It's by far one of my favorite shows I've ever seen. I first watched it a few days after it was released and got so sucked in that I almost binged S1 in a single day. It makes a kind of sense that this might be possible. Like you said, that wait between the seasons was grueling. Netflix is also infamous for canceling shows after S2 or 3. It wouldn't surprise me if the team knew they were getting a 3rd season, but it would definitely be the last, so they convinced them to announce it as canceled when in reality they're working on how to wrap the story up in a final season eventually that's already agreed to. The show is already so meta, /especially/ with the ending. It doesn't seem like the craziest thing to imagine that this is all part of the story. Maybe eventually we actually get more and find out that the characters being their actors in our world had to keep the fan's enthusiasm stoked to get the show renewed for story reasons. It's kind of perfect actually. All I know is I am still VERY invested in this world, and I want more.

Maybe the "You Come Find Me" is literal. Maybe there's something hidden somewhere at some random location that when shared with the world "Spread the Word", flips the switch to bring the show back. Maybe season 3 is already complete and they're waiting for someone to do/find something they've specifically designated as a trigger for the show. I know that sounds insane but like, their cryptic pictures are also pretty weird so.

When I watched this I thought about the game in the second season. You need to beat the game going backwards and walk into real life. Is there a game no one had noticed

Out of all the shows that I enjoyed and were canceled (or worse, haphazardly pieced together to give the audience a rushed ending of sorts)...The OA is the one I still hold out hope for. If Netflix won't give us the courtesy of the last three seasons of a story I desperately want to watch until the end, then the creators have to bring it to someone who will. I don't know if we'll get the show back in the way we would like with the original actors and the original team, but I would still be willing to watch any version of it...a book, a comic, a cartoon, a reboot if necessary...hell, even the rough scripts of what was meant to be, I would accept it.

Knowing that I haven’t watched anything or typed in anything related to The OA for at least 2 years... why was this recommended? Is this a Netflix move to show us that there is still hope?

i want you to know I came across your video a few weeks ago and it just re-ignited my love for TheOA si I went and rewatched it all. The finale still leaves a big empty gap in my heart. THIS SHOW NEEDS TO RETURN DAMN IT! How much can it possibly cost that no one is willing to see it to the end?? Why are always the most interesting shows cancelled!!!

The OA was amazing, you can tell it was made with love for the art of storytelling, unlike the majority of today's films and shows, that are often made for profit only, even completely ruining great books. This is exactly the way Beyoncé marketed "lemonade" back when it dropped, only later did the fans realize there were LOTS of clues for the album all over her Instagram posts a year or two before the album came out she was wearing outfits with lemons on them she was posing next to lemons she was captioning lemons on her posts, stuff like that, the fans are still analyzing everything she does to see how they might find clues to the next era

Joey, great video and I truly hope you’re right. The OA is a beacon of creative artistry among most (not all) of the trashy and predictable storylines on TV. I found the OA truly by accident…or perhaps it found me…and I was hooked from the moment Prairie jumped off the bridge. The ending of season 1, episode 5 was so freaking awesome, only to be matched by the season 1 and season 2 finales. Fingers are crossed for an eventual season 3. 🤞

Wholeheartedly agree. The ending of S1E05, and another scene in S2 that I won't write out in case of spoiling it for others, but those two seasons are some of my absolute favorite moments in all of television.

Yeah maybe it could be the case. So many things about the show itself break the rules so why not break the rules of marketing as well? The fact that the story went all meta at the end suggests that what's happening in real life could very well be part of Season 3! They're in a dimension where they're actors in a show that was canceled and have to journey back to the show being uncanceled so they themselves can know where it goes next! Haha. Honestly, even if that WASN'T the plan it's so brilliant, unique and amazing they should renew it anyway and do that! The ultimate mind bender!

I agree sadly, with zal about the storm brewing and how...there's a time for it. I remember when the OA dropped on Netflix. With nothing advertised. And i remember looking at the poster and the A looking like a gate and i was drawn to i and started watching. I remember around those years i felt no one understood me spiritually or any of my beliefs and thoughts that were just cooped up in my mind. I knew there were a few people out there who shared my beliefs but i didn't know them personally or anything. But when i watched the OA i felt like "omg a group of people collectively understand/ believe in these things and have somehow visually communicated this well in such an incredible story" that was te feeling i got. I cried so much... I feel like there's a period of time in spirituality where you feel entirely alone. And you wonder why other people can't feel what you feel. And a period of the MASSES having a spiritual awakening follows. We are in that time now, where many people have been very / slightly / very slightly - spiritually awoken in the masses. soon enough, we will have the next shift phase but again, it'll happen to a fewer number of people before the masses. That's when the conditions will be right again. Because to me, the OA came out at a time to announce "you weren't alone all this time and we are waking the others up now too" several years ago i feel like people would take this as a crazy post but i think i know ppl understand what i mean now. or well, i hope.

So I absolutely adore the OA. I actually have a tattoo inspired by the show. I support the fake cancelation theory but I do think it will take some time to continue the story. The part of the show itself that gives me hope comes in the first 15 min of the first episode. On a walk with Prairie, Nancy says “Do you remember when they were building these? It was going to be the new Crestwood. Crestwoodview. They ran out of money to finish, always gives me a weird feeling.” It's totally a random thing to talk about but it does lead Prairie to the abandoned house in which the story of the first season takes place. Stories can live in unfinished endeavors.

this is what ive been saying since s2 came out. the show "canceled" because she's (herself lol) as the actor in the last dimension and "dead" and doesn't believe shes the OA just the character... I really hope its a fake cancelation because it hit the fourth wall and we get the 3 other seasons that the creators said they had written (5 seasons total). i need a season where OA and homer are finally together!!

I’ve loved this show from its first moments and will always call this my favourite show. I don’t like to refer to the OA as just a show cause it is so much more, it’s art, a beautiful art piece conveyed through a beautiful story. A flowing living soul breaths in this show and I believe the way Brit and every other actor and actress convey the meaning is captivating. I truely hope that this series of coincidences leads to more to come, a 3rd pieces to an already stunning gallery.

Lmao after hearing the first minute of this video, I decided to watch the series before I watched this video. I was not disappointed at all. One of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. Now that I’ve finished it, I can finally watch this video lol

The OA to me answers the question: what would magic look like in the world that I live in? (if we define "magic" in this case as the sort of magic one sees on movies and TV, if we define it as a series of hand gestures with specific words or thoughts to bring about an impossible event)

I remember thinking when it was canceled that "what if it being canceled is somehow part of the story?" Like the show is being meta and trying to tie into our reality or something 🤔 That would be perfect for them to do if it was what they decided to do. That and the fact that sometimes shows gain even more followers in the years then it's off TV then if it were to continuously stay on because of the fact that so many people are anticipating in clamoring over a new season.

This is my favorite show of all time. I've watched season 1 & 2 numerous times, each time it's like the first time, it's THAT GOOD! We are living in season 3 right now. No way they really canceled this awesome show...right?
