We still want a season 3!

By far the most exciting show Netflix has ever offered me. I actually stopped paying for Netflix about a year after they cancelled "The OA". They just didn't ever get round to hosting anything I enjoyed as much, never mind more. I'm aware that my taste isn't shared by everyone, though. Still, I was well bummed out about it.

@@jahleajahlou8588 I'm ready to give anything creative a shot. I really hope something holds a candle up to "The OA" one day. It's just that I grew up and was drawn into gnosticism, esotericism, alchemy and all things occult and magical - the Mystery - when I was still not quite in my teens. I a very special kind of way to me, "The OA" was like a gift I would never have expected nor ever asked for and when it was cancelled, it was as if the powers that be in terms of entertainment showed me just how little I meant to them. Of course it was silly of me to take it so personally, but it just sorta cut me to the quick. And left me so very jaded about the sort of material that passes for original and special among people of my generation. Hopefully something does come along and straighten me out soon. Here's hoping for it. Until then, along i plod with all the rest of us, looking up as often as gravity will allow me to.

Most original and thought-provoking show I have ever watched! I still think about it many times a day, and still recommend it to friends. Thank you for making this video

@@claireeire2216 It just makes no sense does it? It was so well made, acted, everything!! There’s definitely a lot of reasons to go down the conspiracy route. Netflix could have made so much money letting it continue, and I do wonder about why it got cancelled from time to time. In some ways it’s interesting to just have that “what if” question and explore ideas in your head. I do miss it though. I’ve watched both series 5 times 🤦🏼‍♂️

@@timthorpe81 yes it was genius. The ending of season 2 has the potential to bust and expand consciousness in a way that no other piece of art can . It’s probably best the way that they left it though as - if the were to finish it out and make a feck of it in the subsequent series, it would have been a serious let down. After watching Brits next show - Murder at the end of the world - if that’s anything to go by , it may be the last we’ll see of such genius work. You can tell that they were instructed to randomly drop certain topics into the show that kinda ruined the story telling.

This is a incredible breakdown of this show. I always suspected that there was deeper meaning, symbolism and play on esoteric and spiritual lore but never did check this. Also suspected that the show got canceled and there was intent for seasons with greater esoteric themes and cosmic twists. Thank you so much for this !!

I'm a writer, also a NDE survivor, also a magic researcher. Every story drinks from something, from thoughts, ideas and informations. The OA, being a story, it drinks from very deep informations that is kinda rare for a story to drink. I was shocked to see such mindblowing reality breaking stuff on it. Things we learn after decades in iniciatic ocullt societies, from years of meditation like monks do, from near death experiences... Its not easy to put together a story that involves this stuff, and The OA managed to do it preety well from what we had. If your theory is correct, that makes The OA even more unique. I would love to see the story finished. Yet, maybe one day, we will see. I used to think, that the 3th season of the story is happening here and right now, with us...

I honestly hope Marling and Batmanglij create their own production company and finish the show. I really was so enthralled and honestly I'm annoyed that powers that be in TV world couldn't see how good it is. It's because the show is too smart for the average netflix viewer according to the stupid algorithm theey made. So now we get crap like Red Notice and Damsel. I liked the OA because of how much I didn't know and wanted to know. I wouldn't have cared if I never got the full picture that you just explained here. However it now makes me even more mad because I would've loved to see how it played out.

its crazy ive been thinking about the show a lot lately , and this morning I saw one of the " haptives" on the subway,. the dude with the dreads, I took sneak photo of him because its one of my favorite shows but since it got canceled I didn't want to ask him about it, then I come home from work and see this video in my feed ! very in depth and though provoking vid I wish I could see the remaining seasons, think about it all the time like that show " cult "

There is another interesting treatise...FBI memo 6751, dated 1945 described as Brahmanical. Essentially it states that there are 7 "Earths" all nested, co-mingled and interpenetrating. the only places I find anything about this memo is on ufo sites. i may just not be able to search the vault, but it's not coming up . the videos of the 'memo' don't really go into that much detail and don't say much if anything about this tala/loka planes.

If you research deep into Baptism. There is a familiar quote of wanting air more than anything.. they surely gave NDEs for true Baptism. They now do it with fire and the holy Spirit.. IYKYK

This show spoke to me so deeply. There’s something so earnest about this story. It really is other worldly. What I would give to see the rest. It’s almost poetic how it ended at season two. Where it ended with them playing their characters. With the story being a loop and a mirror of itself.

You could consider exploring the concepts of avatar embodiment from Vedic texts and maybe dip into Bon Buddhism philosophy. I say Vedic because they precede actual Hinduism. Avatars, asuras, devas - and the world of forces in yoga and Ayurveda teachings such as gunas, koshas, the layers of the subtle or lightbody This is a wonderful video! Thank you kindly for taking such detailed care to bridge these concepts!

Its all a metaphor, katun took her eyesight away as a child but she could still see if she chose too, so she put her gifts away didn't she as a child after the near drowning she was on medication then she grows up disappears has her NDE and comes back seeing again , basically she had awakened and rememebered who she was or was starting to rememeber who she was she had broken out of the illusion though and was putting the pieces together like a puzzle to figure out who she really is and what's the purpose of it all.

It should have ended at season one. That was a perfect ending

I don’t even care about the show, this is the most I’ve learned about gnostics and Judaism and such. Absolutely amazing video that connected a lot of dots and imma have to read all those books at the end ❤

I'm planning to do a video next that is just about the subject of the real life 'original angel' without the TV show, it might seem like 'nothing new' after watching this video, but I hope people like it. I'd love to do more focused Deep Dives and have written out a really long series already detailing most of genesis, Enoch, Gnosticism, genealogies of gods, I just haven't had my editor make videos yet because I wasn't sure anyone would watch them. Honestly wish I hadn't watched the second season, depite it being filmed in part only a few miles from my house. The first season could have stood alone but the second left such an open ending.

It's weird, I watched this show years ago now, I think I only watched the first season, not sure. But the other day I remembered it and was thinking maybe I should watch it again, and now this shows up on my recommendations out of the blue. Haven't watched anything related to this topic whatsoever.

The Gnostics say that Sophia has a polar opposite "twin sister" (who has a name yes, I forgot it) who is described as arid, dry, unfruitful, barren, rocky, etc. where as Sophia is described as fruitful, abundant etc. These themes are just recycled and plagiarized for going on 7,500 years. Innana and Ishtar the Babylonian version of this lore.

No, two other people left the same comment, which generally means a couple hundred to a couple thousand people did the same thing haha. I have made mythological breakdowns in the past but not too much success. right now I have a 14 part series I've written on mystery schools, the bible, fallen angels, the whole thing, but I haven't recorded them for editing yet.

Lets not forget Seth who was still capable of laying up his treasures on the "Rock of Ages" (3rd born Son) and Norea (first born Daughter who destroyed Noah's Ark) not once but twice because "he would not let her enter" YEP More to the story. Your narrative is very incomplete on many points of actual historical documentation and limited as to the sources/foundation of the plagiarisms. Also you forgot a whole lot of human sacrifice.

This show made me sick at the end.
