This song touches my soul. Every time I hear it, I go into conductor mode. My arms start swinging, I'm pointing to the different sections of the orchestra. The guys are singing from their souls. I love it.
Wow, I have never heard this original version! Beautiful song! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Every 90’s hit has an originally version from the 70’s.🙂

I remember following my dad to the radio Shack Store in 1973 and then next to it was a music store and I told my dad, I heard this song on Baltimore radio. He bought this album. I still have it 48 years later. Arguably the Ojays' best album ever.

I thought until 5yrs old that Eddie Lavert was my dad. They have a strong resemblance. Lookup the Modulations from Durham, NC (Hoyal Saunders)❤
My senior year in highschool... this entire album was awesome. 1974... The best.
What i love about this song besides the music is the vocal interplay between Walter Williams & Eddie Levert Sr. Mellow, laid back Third World took this song to the next level. Powerful
i bought the album "ship ahoy" with this track on it about 1973 age 19, now a 69 year old and still love the old 60's /70's soul music.

Real... raw vocal talent.... no vocoder's that can augment almost anyone's voice to listenable, few artist today can match this level. Some of the current artist are "Extremely Vocally Talented" but they are few.... Mostly creating tunes sampling these older tracks..... "FACT"
Listening to this as you fall asleep at night is a different level of relaxation

Spreading the love all over the land. Hold on to the feeling. 😊
I just saw the O'Jays on 6/28 @ MGM in Maryland. They were awesome. They didn't perform this song. I wished they had.
I'm crying literally 😢
Now that we find love what we gone do with it ❤❤❤ we gonna hold on to it ❤❤❤
This right here is a classic
Oh yessss!
How have I never heard this version! I keep waiting to hear that reggae beat. 😂 Great song, Eddie has an amazing voice.
Still a beautiful song
Just phenomenally fantastic. Rappers and hip-hoppers sample and claim past productions, but some, although good, few rarely measure up, especially to the O'Jays, who sound just as dynamite live as their studio products. I was a young adult when they made their national splash with "Backstabbers", and I am so grateful. This is what we called "adult music", and there was no vulgarity or other things that could be deemed offensive.
I heard this version on Ray Donovan and it fucking blew me away !

Love is all, and it's all we need ... without love ... nothing's exist qui en vaut vraiment la peine
Sweet memories of my teen years summer of1974😅
Some of the best harmony and outside of their music, the O'Jays were friends.

Nothing to forgive. Anyway it's a lot of people with learning a lot of things about music that we had surrounding us all the time to bring us together instead of tearing us apart we don't need to teach us how to have sex we don't need music teaches how to make we need music to help us to love one one another to help and share with each other so let's give love 100% of all the time and devotionin the name of the father son and holy Spirit we can't go wrong amen
